Ellie is doing better. After my last vet apt I went against the doctor and told them i wanted to treat one thing instead of the other.

Well guess what? You were right and the doc was wrong- it happens sometimes! Good for you! I can imagine you vs your pediatrician when the time comes

Well- like you said, at least Mama dog has a friend. I am sure the neighbors are now feeding both of them. When the pups get older they might start coming around! That might be a problem. If they keep breeding- you are going to be in trouble!

I was thinking, now how would she know about PETA? Which then made me think about something that my BIL said to me a few weeks ago, that pissed me OFF! He said I was "brainwashing" Karlee! She said something about not eating meat and he said, in so many words, that I was feeding her this info! I would NEVER talk to a child about being a vegetarian! I am not even sure she KNOWS I am a vegetarian. I do tell them to be nice to animals, but to go into the vegetarian thing- that is too much info for a child, especially if the child is not my own- it is not my place to preach. Heck, I do not even talk about it to adults, unless they ask!

We are at PC for 8/22-8/25, then moving to YC for 8/26-8/29. This is our first FD trip, the only TS meal we ever had was Sci Fi Cafe..so this will be quite a challenge for us!

We are going to miss you by ONE DAY We arrive 8/30! You will love FD we do it every year!

Maggie, I would love to move to TN, but it is too far for me to drive to OK from there (like FL isn't?? lol! hahahaha.)! If we go to FL I will have to fly to OK once a month, which, I am not complaining about- living in FL would make me very happy. We have been talking a lot about coming to see you guys in TN, Jack told me a few weeks ago that the drive is not bad at all, and there is stuff we could stop to do along the way. Honestly, we are kinda lost now, we don't know what to do with all of this free time :

Oh- and I agree, moving SUCKS. This last one was my 3rd thid year, and the next one will make 5 in two years. ICK ICK. I am ready to be somewhere permanent. I know it sounds like DBF is in the military with all of our moving, but he is actually a store manager for WALMART for those of you that don't know He also works on new programs with WM Home Office, and rolls them out to new areas.

as far as that thread WTH!!!?? I agree with the poster who said, what is the difference between a value, mod or deluxe. Does she think she will be more noisy at a value or a mod?? I guess the deluxe hotels bring out the prude in her.

I know the room at the BWV we had when I went with SIL and Karlee had no privacy. Unless you went out on the balcony in the middle of the night. I guess someone would have a nice surprise if they happened to be out there the same time b/c they could not sleep HEL-LO!

I did get the all clear to go back to work on June 1st. So hopefully this will be the road of being on the mend. I still need to take the chemo pills and do my blood work and MRI's but that is the easy part.
As long as the test stay good then I will not have to do anything major.

I am so sorry if I have said anything about DBF's dad that might upset you That was really insensitive of me, and I did not even THINK about you being in the middle of that battle before I wrote about it, I am so sorry! I am so happy you are starting to feel better.. I will be thinking about you during the survivors walk at our Relay for Life in 3 weeks.

I can be an idiot sometimes!!

Well- I just talked to DH and I said MAKE NO PLANS FOR THE WEEKEND! I just want to work in the garden and around the house and not go anywhere this weekend. (OK except for maybe a yard sale or 2 Sat morning ) I do not feel the need to leave my house to celebrate Memorial Day.

Last night we went to the House of Blues in Atlantic City to see KORN! Awesome show. We were sitting in the balcony and can I tell you it was SHAKING from people rockin' out! (I kept thinking- are we going to end up falling through to the first floor?) But the shaking balcony mayhem made it that much more fun It was insane.

After work today- I have to get my shovel and KILL my mint in the garden. Yes- KILL IT! It has taken over and I can honestly say I had NO idea mint did such a vile thing! I was going to use vinegar on it, but that does not kill the roots- so, I will go out with my handy dandy shovel and murder it. Poor mint- RIP.

My nephew's band is playing 3 sets before KORN tomorrow up in NH. He is in Hell Within.......I can't make it to that show, but one that I went to had lots of mayhem.........glad to hear yours was an awesome show!!

The band that opened last night (Burnt Halo) was horrific- well from this Korn fan's point of view anyway. Way to '80s rock-n-roll hair band knock-off for me, and for the people booing them. I did no know they still make that kind of music!

I said to DH, I could not remember the last time I actually heard a band sing the words "Dirty Little Girl" in a song, and I can tell you, I never hope to hear it come out of any band' mouth that I see in the future

I bet you can go on Youtube a day or 2 after the show and you might find a clip of them there!

OK- I just checked them out on MySpace- NOT BAD!!!

Let's just say they they are complete opposite of Burnt Halo....................and that's a very GOOD thing!

It is not my kind of music, but I will say they do a good job when they put on a show.............and I do like their rendition of "carry on"............thanks for checking them out and for the heads up about YouTube!

I think that the Relay is going to be a very emotional event for us since everything is so fresh. We have both been working our butts off to raise money (Chad even did a HULA DANCE at work, lol- hula skirt included!).

So-- whats everyone up to this weekend? We are all sick here So I just want to SLEEP! BUT we promised Wes we would take him and his girlfriend (she's 2!) to Chuck E Cheese today when Chad gets off!

I am helping my sil move and we are going to my grandmas for a cookout tomorrow, Might have a nice dinner with hubby tonight. Natalie is going to a girlfriends to spend the night.
