I was around some yesterday but only really checking in on things. I took the day off from work and didn't get online till after the kids went to school so I didn't get to starting the new week of freebies and I figured a "regular" would pick up my slack I then had to go to the registry (DMV) to get a new liscense (I tried to renew online but it had been too long so I needed a new picture ) and then I went shopping for the day and went out to lunch by myself. It was odd to go into stores/a restaurant and not have to worry about what someone else wants, touches, etc. But it was also really nice. Then last night after the kids got out of school we had to run to BJ's to pick up a couple things, then my inlaws stopped by to drop off some stuff, and then I put on the Grinch (the non-animated Jim Carrey version) for the kids and promptly fell asleep on the couch

Your day sounds relaxing- I love walking around by myself- it is so peaceful. (But I have nothing to compare it to )

I think everyone has to get a pic on their license now- don't they? I remember back in the day, you would have to pack a lunch just to go to the DMV (not sure if it was the same in other states)! It was an all day thing. I dreaded it- but now- I can be in and out in 10 minutes or less!

In MA you can renew your liscense 1x in a 10 year period online. Apparently I renewed online last time (every 4 years) so I had to go down there to take the eye exam and get a new picture. It's better here now because alot do the online thing but I was still there for an hour.

Oh gosh.... was she carrying her social security card with an photo ID? My purse always worries me.

She went to eat with friends. She thought she put it in her backpack but left it in the booth. So they called the place as they headed back over. The manager told her that 2 men came in right after they left. They said they stayed about 2 minutes then left.So the police said they would go over and ask for the tapes.

It was her coach purse that she loved. I think she is heartbroken over that more.

That just bites, Kellie. Hopefully, the cops will put a little effort into figuring it out. The same thing happened to a friend of mine a couple years ago. We met up with her and her DH and another couple at a local Mexican restaurant and there were absolutely no other customers there when we left. She didn't notice she hadn't got her purse until she got home. She immediatley called the restaurant but they had already closed so she waited until the next morning and they told her that "someone must have come in afterwards and took it." By the time she filed a police report, they had charged about $1000 worth of stuff at Wal-mart and Kroger on her card. And the crappy police department said they had no leads and no idea of figuring it out! DUH! Tigger and the Super Sleuths could have solved that crime. It was obviously someone that worked there since they were closing as we left. All the cops would have to do is look at the video from Wal-mart and match it to a face but that was too much trouble. This still pi$$es me off to this day that they didn't even try. I hope the police there are more understanding.

Shaunna's purse has been found.
The Boston police have it and are meeting her at scool to give it back.
It turns out that one of the cops that went to the pizza place looking for the tapes was told the tapes did not work. Well they went back and talked to the owner,he looked and saw that one of the employees did boot it out of her backpack.

But instead he will be in jail. Now Dd feels bad for him and thinks he must be having a tough time in life if he needs to do this.

That's so nice that the owner of the pizza place has a GC for her My daughter had her purse stolen in school early in the year. She had her brand new coach wallet in it (with no money LOL) and her cell phone. What a pain.. It ended up though that the school resource officer (local cop) found it in the boy's bathroom, and nothing was missing! I guess the boy that took it didn't want the wallet, phone or makeup that was in it. LOL

I haven't been keeping up with the chat in the last few days, I've been busy getting ready for a cruise! My sister is getting married in April and we've organized her bachelorette party to be this weekend on the Monarch of the Seas! She knows about it, but doesn't know that we've bought her a crown, and a boa, and coordinating t-shirts... we plan on embarassing her totally LOL I think it will be a lot of fun. I'm rooming with my mom. There will be a total of 8 of us going - mom and I, my four sisters, and two of the bride-to-be's friends. Best of all I get to get away from the kids for a few days

Oooh, I hope I get that. Unfortunately, I can't remember if I signed up with them or not. I did get a big tube in the mail from Maker's Mark the other day with a roll of wrapping paper with little bourbon bottles all over it and gift tags in the shape of a bottle. I guess I can wrap DFIL's gift in it but I don't think it will work for Santa.

Jennifer-have fun on your cruise. That sounds like so much fun. I wish I could get my mom and sister to do something like that(and pay for it, of course ).
