The Golf Cart Thread

See what I mean. Minivan owners are an angry people and even lash out at their friends.:confused3 Maybe we can mount some Deer antlers on the hood or something to man it up a bit which may or may not help but would be worth a try. I can bring some with me to the GG if you want me to. ;)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

You should not take offense to my observations. Instead, use this information to SELL YOUR MINIVAN!!:thumbsup2

And to all you Men out there who purchased or now drive a MINIVAN. I am sorry I have to do this but you brought it on yourselves. I am now taking away your man cards.

I'm just lashing out at disney

I had to fight for my minivan when we were looking for a new tow vehicle. My husband wanted to trade my van for a suburban and keep his truck. I won. like always. He now drives a suburban.:)

Well, I had to replace some of the battery cables today, went to move it, and one was so corroded it broke off, so I bought some 2 gauge monster cable and some solder on ends and made me some... I was hoping it would give it a little more pep, nope, still slow!!

I am going to go look at some of the cart boards and see if the solenoids are all supposed to be the same temp after you run it a while, I have one that is about 30 degrees hotter than the other 4.... ( I have an infrared thermometer)

I have an infrared thermometer

Those are cool! Our A/C maintenance guy has one of them & he "proved" to me that it was -45 degrees in Florida in June! Yes he did!! He aimed it toward the sky & the temp sank like a rock! Darndest thing I ever saw!!

Okay...back to our regular thread of Golf Carts....

Ok, but one more thing about mini-vans first! :rotfl:

I'll admit, the day I got my mini van I cried. Boo-hoo'd! Youth, beauty, sensuality, spontenaity-----GONE! I cried as if I had lost a dear friend and promised to blame my husband for all eternity.

Now, 8 years later, I own the very same mini van...Mrs Higginbottom btw, she is paid for, reliable, filthy dirty, dented, scratched and adorned with honor roll and fort stickers. I AM a soccer mom. I do, by nature, know how to multi-task, but choose not to while driving (unless I have to break up a fist fight in the back seat). She is not pretty. But has a video player and room for friends. Therefore....mini van = familial bliss.

also......there is nothing hotter than a confidant man driving a mini van......;)
well, except maybe a man with a duster ----oooooo!

Oh I wish we could downsize to a minivan. I drive a full size E-150 hi-top conversion. Beautiful the day we bought it and went right from the dealer to the hospital to bring the first of our quadruplets home from the hospital. 7 years later and long ago paid for, its mine, dirty, and getting smaller, no room for extra friends, here. I am hoping to add an 8 passenger mini for our everyday use, they'll be tight, but technically we would have room for 1 more, maybe 2 if I use the trunk ;) . Cheaper on the gas too.
Loretta

Ami ours is named too, Baby Boo...Kids heard me one day trying to talk her up a snow covered hill, saying "come on baby blue" They couldn't say blue so Boo it became.

Where is the self appointed czar of the community board? This thread is titled golf carts, not minivans! Jeesh people..... :lmao:;)

Well A mini van is the only vehicle that will haul my clan, and sometimes my elderly parents. I would love a Volvo XC90, but I'll keep dreamin'.

Girl! You sound like me! Right down to the Volvo! Maybe one day!

Saw a report on the Today Show this morning that more and more people are starting to use their golf carts instead of their cars. I know some people here are doing it.

Are any of you guys using your golf carts to get around town?

Not sure if we will or not. We would have to put in brake lights and turn signals and put in seat belts. Then get it tagged, (already insured) and get a town sticker. I already save a lot with my scooter and my husband really needs to have his truck for work.

I can't complain, I have a very nice minivan, all the bells and whistles. I am just itchin for something more sporty...
But Ami, I feel your pain, it's impossible keeping it clean with 3 kids. I get so mad sometimes with all the garbage they leave in there, french fries in the seats, etc.:confused3

We use our cart in the neighborhood. It's great to get back and forth to the pool and tennis courts. We also take it to the convenience store/gas station that is down the road. However, we have huge hills and traffic on the main roads...so no way we could take it around town.

I'm working on a customers Club Car with a 57 Chevy body, its nice I will post some pics its a actual body steel cut down to fit. This is by far about the nicest work I ever seen. Putting a big block 23hp in it, running a 9hp right now, I will post some pics of the build if anyone is interested in seeing them.

DH had a duster in the late 80s. It was gold-colored if memory serves. God he loved that car. But he also loved his truck and motorcycle that he got later. You know, I can't think of any of his vehicles he hasn't loved. His first beater had one door that was tied shut and the other wouldn't open...he used to deliver pizzas by climbing out the window (I'm crying from laughter over the memories.)
