What a great show. I am not embarrassed to say I love it!

I think I most closely identify with Dorothy, but I appreciate Blanche's whole southern belle thing, too, since I have lived in Georgia all my life.

Sophia always got on my nerves-- my favorite episodes are the ones that she didn't have a big role in.

Me too! I hear the first few notes and I swear my blood pressure drops a few points. It reminds me of being a small kid. Saturday night was pizza night and we'd always order it and then watch The Golden Girls. It takes me back to a happy place!

I most identify with Dorothy and she's definitely my favorite, but I love them all!

I love them all, also but Dorothy and I had soooo much in common, both from Brooklyn, both majored in English, both had a son named Michael and an IDIOT for an ex, both had DEEP voices and a very sharp wit, and mostly we both had a Mom with a MOUTH that used it!!! Sophia is so much like my Mom it wasn't funny and we spent hours just laughing at her! I miss my Mom and her wit, watching the show brings her back to me.

Are you sure the creators don't know you?

I have 4 seasons on DVD, plan on getting them all. I hope they put Golden Palace on DVD also.

I just got through watching some of season 3....LOVE IT! I will NEVER get tired of watching that show. Can't wait for our next payday so I can get Season 2!
