The Girl Cave

I'm fair skinned !
I used to burn like crazy but for some reason this year im tanning like CRAZY
i love it so muchh ! my friend always bugged me about being so pale.. but now i get to rub it in their faces now that im darker than them;)

i use 15 SPF hawaiin tropic, just on my face because it still burns easily
but i use 4 SPF tanning oil (hawaiin tropic) on the rest of me, its good because a little goes a long way in this case.

I just put all that on and lounge in the pool for hours !
i love tannnning so much now<3
i know its bad for me... but whatevs;) ahahah

I don't break out very often, but I use Neutrogena's Pink Grapefruit wash for my face. I see no changes, but it keeps my skin clean, and I loved how Clean&Clear felt on my skin when using it. Though considering your skin type, I'd avoid it.
That's what I use!

i use the neutrogena's face wash too !
but i use the green one, the one that reduces redness, i used to have a lot of acne so i have a lot of red scaring from it.

it works pretty good:) the redness seems to be fading more and more, the sun helps with that too

I don't really burn that much, I just tan. I've been getting so tan these past few weeks, and I'll get even more tan when we go to Ocean City next week. But then once I get really tan, then I start to burn, which can be annoying.

I too use Neutrogena, I use the pink grapefruit face wash one. :goodvibes

I'm naturally pretty pale and burn easily. Though since I have reddish hair, that's to be expected. It's not fun.

I have fair to olive skin. I tan really easily, and have never burned my skin before. Then two years ago, I went away with a friend to Spain and got the worst sun burns ever, it ruined my holiday. Soo use the SPF guys regardless haha!

Oh and I read all the time that SPF in makeup etc is the best thing to prevent your skin from soo many problems. So make sure your foundation, or moisturiser, has it included!

You sound like my friend. My sister, me, and my 3 best friends all laid out in my one of my friends front yards to tan, I did it so I could clear up my face. I had a little bit of sunscreen on my shoulders, as that's the only place I burn. We all laid down, and in maybe 7 minutes, I looked at my legs to see if I got any darker, and I looked like a chicken leg someone forgot to turn over in the oven! My friend made fun of me for the rest of the day about how I just keep getting darker. She herself is Irish, and has dark, dark hair, and fair freckly skin. She burns, but she laid out anyways:headache: She had to put 2 coats of aloe on afterwards, and after all of that trouble, got a tiny bit darker. I love hearing other people's habits. It makes you remember that you aren't the only person in the world.

I wish I would tan! I have fairly pale skin, and would love to have a tan! I don't go to the tanning bed, which I probably will never do. I am hoping to get a tan sometime before school starts back. I burn so easily, so who knows it will ever happen.

I had one summer where I got fairly tan. But, if I do tan, it's not enough like I want it. I don't want to be too tan, but not pale, either. If anything, it is a sunburn. :/ I would love to have that turn into tan, but we'll see.

Figured I'd comment on all questions to avoid going to bed:lmao:
So my question to you guys is, what are some good face mask ideas for oily skin? I'm breaking out lately and the only thing that clears it up so far is the sun, and I've been feeling nasty lately so I've been inside. Are there any face mask things I can make to try and clear it up, NOT including things like Proactive and Clean and Clear?
Personally, I use neutrogena pink grapefruit srub, it works really well. Oxy wipes are really good too when you don't have time to fully wash your face, or if you want to just remove some excess gross-ness. They get rid of oil very well, but unfortunetly they can leave your skin a little bit shiny. Clearasil spot treatment is great too. Just put it on something if you see a blemish forming, and it clears stuff up quickly. Avoid wearing foundations (cream and powder) and blush if possible too. let the skin breathe:rotfl2:

I gotta question for everyone, I know that back to school shopping is coming up soon, and was wondering where you guys shopped...? I'm looking for places that have nice clothes, but aren't ridiculously expensive like some name brand clothing... which I like, but once again they are really expensive...

Thanks Everyone...! :goodvibes
Personally, my favorite stores are American Eagle, Delia's, Forever 21 and Wet Seal. The first two can get a little pricy, but they're not usually too bad. Marshall's is a blessing too :rotfl: They have amazing brand name stuff with dirt cheap prices. Love it!

So here's a new survey/question. How do you tan? Do you try to stay out of the sun? Do you burn easy? Are you fair or olive skinned? Just some random questions that will hopefully lead to some good advice!
Where I live, basically everyone spends every day, all day at the beach. Plus being half portugese and half irish, I tan really easily but don't burn too badly. Just switch up positions every now and then, and don't lay there all day, move around and cool off somehow too. And sunscreen is great, no matter what other people say.

So now that I've babbled for ten years, I'll ask a new discussion question:
I'm gonna be a high school Freshman this year. I've always been really good at meeting people and making friends, but I've been at the same school since fifth grade, so there's only been four or five new people a year. I go to a private school, so there'll be a ton of new people next year. How would you guys suggest I go about introducing myself and trying to become friends with people?

I would just let it happen naturally. I always approach people who look as nervous and lonely as I do. I went to a summer program for advanced students when I was 10, and I just approached a girl who was alone and in my class, and we became friends. Just try to be nice and subtle.
