General Hospital: April 2010 Preview

With a trial in progress and a harrowing revelation kicking off the month, April promises a deluge of drama for everyone on General Hospital.

**April starts with a bang, as Kiefer beats up Kristina once again, Alexis sees it this time, and in the rush to get Kristina to the hospital, she runs Kiefer down. Thus fulfilling the fantasy of many a General Hospital viewer. But it opens a whole can of worms, up to and including a) Ethan getting accused of the crime (it's been quite a streak for old Ethan) and b) Kiefer's powerful and connected father going on a rampage through town, determined to make someone pay.

Meanwhile, Claire wants Sonny in jail, and this month, she's going through his kids to put him there. First by putting Morgan on the witness stand. How can a grade-schooler like Morgan -- and an open and honest one besides -- hold up under pressure and not reveal that Michael really killed Claudia? Morgan's big brother Dante needs to come to his rescue, and fast. And while we're keeping it all in the family, look for Carly to take the witness stand this month too. We've heard so much about Carly's unparalleled ability to successfully lie in front of a jury. Will she be able to pull it off this time?

But the bigger fish Claire wants to fry is Michael. She thinks Michael (who will be played by Chad Duell starting on April 20th) is the key to convicting Sonny, and she wants Dante to be the one who brings him back. Look for Dante to finally learn the truth, that Michael killed Claudia. Which means the pressure will be all on his shoulders: does he uphold the law, or does he protect his brother? And more importantly, if Sonny wants to take the fall for Michael ... why not let him?

This is all going to culminate in a must-see event that'll change the Corinthos family forever. If you thought Sonny shooting Dante set this clan on a whole new trajectory, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Also, look for Sonny's case to finally go to jury. Care to guess which juror ends up being the lone vote against a guilty verdict?

At the hospital, Elizabeth continues the rocky process of getting back to her old life after her stint at Shadybrook. She meets a terminal cancer patient named Shirley (guest star Michael Learned), who ends up having a major impact on Liz's life. But how does this translate into Liz and Lucky possibly getting closer? (Seriously? We have to watch this yet *again*?? )

All this, PLUS: Skye wants Luke to help her find Lorenzo's lost fortune. And Maya and Ethan continue to find new and interesting ways to be around each other.**

I agree...whenever someone comes to question him or ask him about something he just gives this blank stare, deep sigh, head in hands...dude...SAY SOMETHING ALREADY!

Why is it that no one thought it might be her boyfriend as soon as the Ethan time line with didn't work out? Both Lucky and Jason thought it was someone else. WHY did it take so long for them to think.."the boyfried".. No shoot Sherlock...come on already.

I don't want to hear that they don't have emergency services where they live. The woman is a lawyer, she's a former DA..she's dating the Police Commissioner...she could have called SOMEONE..instead of driving her daughter to the ER in the back of her car.
How do you know how badly beaten she might be. She was in and out of conciousness, perhaps she shouldn't have been moved in that manner..The whole incident is ridiculous! I hope they wrap it up soon.

Agreed. I actually hate that they killed Kiefer off like this - I would rather have seen Kiefer have to face Kristina's charges and the consequences for what he did - that would have been a better use of this storyline that had the potential to show a real-life problem.

As for Dante... A punch in the mouth for Sonny!
The guy sooooo deserves it.
It made me sick the way Sonny would justify shooting an unarmed cop point blank in the chest by saying "I didn't know you were my son".

Every time Sonny or someone else said that I kept thinking "So, it would be ok if he hadn't been his son?" How ridiculous! The shooting of anyone would be completely wrong! How does anyone justify his actions?!?

I just hope the writers don't have Dante doesn't go soft, and start thinking Sonny is father of the year, when he finds out it was Michael who killed Claudia.

Since this show frustrates me to no end, I've been FF'ing through it. I had no idea he was in an accident with Maya and that's how his car suffered damage. why in the world would he say he "thinks" he hit a deer????

I was thinking the same thing today...It seems that once she started going thru her divorce she went downhill...she was so cute before...today what is up with her CHEEKBONES???

She looked insane I wasn't really watching, but then I heard her voice, and I turned around and it took me a while to really believe it was her. Those weird shiney cheekbones and those oversized lips flopping around...yikes!! It's just so totally nuts. She was pretty before.

I've read and agree with most all of the recent comments and I have to ask myself, "Why am I still watching this show?"! There are only a couple of actors I appreciate and I hate most of the story lines. If it weren't for DVR and being able to FF through it all, I would definitely have stopped watching.

OMG!

She could be the poster woman for Plastic Surgery Gone Bad!

I thought it was bad enough when she was a semi regular on the show, and she started to look as if her lips were stretching back to her ears. Kind of reminded me of when little girls play with mommy's make up, and put the lipstick on like a clown.
Now..It's worse. Her face appears sunken. That long blackish hair..she looks like Mortisha from the Adams family gone bad.

DEAL OR NO DEAL?

**Dante puts a stop to Claire questioning Morgan but lands himself in jail for contempt of court. Carly takes Morgan out of the courtroom and later confronts Jax about his involvement. Sonny visits Dante in jail and tries to advise Dante to leave his job. Lulu later visits Dante and he admits Sonny could be right. Meanwhile, Claire offers Sonny a deal. A deal that would keep his children from taking the witness stand against him. Sonny must plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter and 5 counts of RICO violations. Sonny would be willing but Jason has another plan. Jason would plea to killing Claudia and the RICO violations in place of Sonny. Sam, Carly and Sonny are all against Jason’s plans but he insists this is what needs to happen. Diane and Jason meet with Claire and offer her Jason instead of Sonny. Claire refuses the offer. Sonny refuses Claire’s offer and will take his chances with the jury. While Claire prepares Morgan to testify, Jax visits with Michael on the island.
Morgan doesn’t incriminate Michael or Sonny in his testimony. Jason prepares Carly for taking the stand and reminds her, Sonny’s life is in her hands. Meanwhile, Jax tries to convince Michael the best thing he can do for Sonny is to stay on the island until the trial is over. However, back in Port Charles, in conversation between Dante and Jason, Dante hints that Ronnie is on his way to the island to bring Michael back to testify.

HIT AND RUN DRIVER ARRESTED!
Alexis confesses to Mac she is the one who was driving the car who hit Kiefer. Mac arrests Alexis but releases her on her recognizance telling her he will try to wrap up the case quickly and quietly but Kiefer’s father has other ideas. Warren wants justice for the crime against his son and wants Alexis behind bars. Meanwhile, Melinda does more lashing out towards Kristina and Alexis. Alexis asks Jax to intervene with Warren, so Jax tries to convince Warren to leave the matter alone or he will bury him, financially.
Nikolas asks Kristina to babysit Spencer at Wyndemere and sees how guilt ridden she is over Kiefer’s accident. Alexis is afraid Kristina is down the wrong path and will make the same mistakes she has made when it comes to the men in her life.

ELSEWHERE IN PORT CHARLES
Ethan is fed up with Lucky always seeing the worst in him and wonders if Lucky carries a grudge because he feels Ethan is the result of Luke failing Laura. Lulu fears Dante will look at her differently when he finds out about her abortion. Alexis has suspicions that Helena is up to no good. Steve assigns Elizabeth to care for terminally ill patients which gives her a new perspective on life. Maxie helps Lucky re-decorate his new apartment and Elizabeth is surprised to find her there with Lucky. Maxie realizes things between Elizabeth and Lucky are far from over. (Again )

CAN'T MISS
Alexis confesses to Mac that she’s the one who hit Kiefer with her car on Monday, April 12.
Carly and Jax engage in another gut-wrenching fight on Tuesday, April 13.
Sam pleads with Jason not to go through with it but he insists this is what has to be done. Alone, Sam starts to break down on Wednesday, April 14.
Alexis fears Kristina will make the same mistakes she did in her relationships with men on Thursday, April 15.
Jason’s confident Carly will be able to sell her pack of lies to the jury and tries to help ease her nerves on Friday, April 16.**

That, and the fact that Keifer's father goes into Kristina's room and blames her, not the mother that hit him, for the abusers death. Go figure, stupid, just stupid.
