I had no clue he was leaving the show, so was shocking. Honestly his character was pretty boring. I assume it was Cyrus since we saw him kill Sam, guessing he gave Dex the same stuff.

I'm guessing that Sonny has something to do with all of that. We know how he feels about both Ava and Rick. And he promised Christina that Ava would pay. Maybe he wanted to get back at Rick too.

Spoiler: Don't read if you haven't watched Friday's episode.

I had no idea. Though he would disappear for weeks, then show up with a new hairstyle/color, and then disappear again so it kind of felt the writers were going to get rid of him eventually. I guess he's gone for good now. I was never really enamored with him...I found him boring and he didn't seem like a great actor to me (just my opinion) or maybe that just wasn't the right role for him. I didn't think he had any chemistry with Joss. I got a little worried that something was going to happen when Dex & Joss started planning a vacation together yesterday. But I didn't expect him to die.

Thanks, if I knew how to do that, I would have.

We never even got to find out Dex‘s back story. It almost seemed like they were going to go in that direction when they were decorating for Christmas and he was reflecting on his own past. When they left, I was really asking myselff why did we have to watch yet another bunch of scenes of Jos and Dex having sex. I’m thinking that yes, she too will be pregnant now. She also keeps spewing a lot of medical jargon now, so wondering if she will go back to wanting to be a doctor.I also think Felicia and her “detailed“ report to Chase is going to come into play. I think all of a sudden she is going to realize that during everything Cyrus was ringing the bell. Even during the fight that the two football teams were having, he stood there and never stopped ringing the bell. She’s going to realize that when Dex was being stabbed, there was no bell ringing.

The scenes with Ava and Rick having all their credit cards denied was hysterical. But yes, how can her settlement be revoked? And doesn’t she have Jerome money?

I also don’t understand why they had Steven Lars come back just to take Heather away with him. They could’ve just left her in jail, and nobody thought about her. Still doesn’t make sense that she was released from jail, especially because prior to becoming the hook, killer, wasn’t she already in jail for something else? I believe in the beginning she was somehow sneaking out of jail to commit the crimes and sneaking back in.

The coming attractions look good. Possibly Drew telling Michael there are real feelings between him and Willow and Willow going toe to toe with Carly. Can’t wait to see how it’s going to play out when Willow finds out that Nina was also sleeping with Drew.

Why was Nina freaking out about Michael taking the kids from Willow. I just don't think Michael would have done that, remember he is not blameless here, he slept with Sasha. I think Nina making Willow take the kids will now cause bigger problems for Willow.

I don't get why they did that to Dex. It seems like they spent a long time building him up as a character only to suddenly eliminate him. We learned that he had a rough childhood, joined the military, maybe had a need for attention and acceptence from a father-figure which spurred him to work for Sonny. Then he and Joss broke up over who he was becoming, so he left Sonny and hit the straight and narrow by joining the police academy. The scene when they were decorating Joss and Trina's Christmas tree provided a little more insight into his past trauma. It felt like they were going to develop him more as a character and then he was just gone. Makes no sense.

Ned tried to get the game on TV but discovered the cable was out, so everyone continued to watch it on their phones. Then Michael said he could stream the game from his phone to the TV. Tracy came in and insisted they turn the game off, so she grabbed Michael's phone. In an effort to turn off the game, she accidently brought up the nannycam video of Drew and Willow on the floor of the nursery. No one meant for it to happen, but Ned and Tracy were quite amused when it did!

I think Cyrus stabbed Dex and then gave him digitalis in the hospital, same as he did to Sam. Dex had earlier warned Cyrus that he was going to be watching him, so Cyrus wanted him out of the way. Just my theory.

So now Trina and Joss have each had TWO boyfriends die in a span of a few years. I have been watching soaps for a long time, but even for me this is a bit much for the younger generation on the show.

Rory who was also a cop. I know that while they dated, Trina had feelings for Spencer, so it wasn't super serious, but still a lot for a young woman to handle when he was killed by the hook.

I was thinking the exact same thing. These young women are what, 20-22 years old? Best friends who both now have two dead boyfriends. In real life, what are the odds of that? Yep, Rory and Spencer for Trina, Oscar and now Dex for Joss (and maybe a third if you count Dev…can’t remember, did they briefly have a thing?).

I hate it when they start storylines and then change everything around. I wanted Dex and Joss to be together. It seemed like they just had a new beginning when they got back together. It's like someone killing him came out of the blue. I can't stand Cyrus and I wish someone would eliminate him.

It feels like they have tag-team writers...like one set of writers comes in for 6 months and start moving storylines in one direction and then another set of writers comes in -- having never watched the show during the previous 6 months -- and they start taking storylines in a different direction. And then 6 months later, the first team comes back and we start all over again.

I would also like Cyrus to disappear forever. He's just creepy. The actor is fabulous, though.

It's pretty easy to do. I'm not sure if this is how everyone does it, but I type what I want to say, highlight that text, and then click on the 3 vertical dots at the top of the "reply" box (next to the smiley face). Then another menu bar appears and you click on eye-with-slash icon.

I've gotten into the habit of not reading this thread until I'm completely up to date on viewing episodes because I'm afraid I'll see a spoiler (though it's not a big deal to me if I do see one...just prefer to try and watch the shows first).

Maybe we can start to get the regular posters to start using the "spoiler" option when we post something major about an episode that is less than 48 hours old???? Just a thought and not directed at anyone.
