Am I alone in wishing that they didn't put Carly and Jason together romantically? I loved that they portrayed how 2 people of the opposite sex can be best friends with no romance. Too many spouses won't allow their mate to be friends with a member of the opposite sex because of jealousy. This feeds into that.

I'm still shaking my head at how the Tan-O was burning to the ground but not one fireman seemed to be putting water on the fire. Meanwhile, a fireman is taken out on a stretcher and they managed to set up 2 tents with tables of water and stuff. Plenty of firemen standing around basically socializing and watching the place burn to the ground. Soap world.

My thoughts exactly! Phyllis and Nina were the ones inhaling the smoke and other fumes, but they didn't have on oxygen masks, but the fireman was on the stretcher? I sure don't want the Nixon Falls Fire Department called if any house in my neighborhood catches fire!

And I also agree that it was stupid that Mike seemed not to know how to untie a rope! Bad writing and acting all around in these scenes.

I really enjoyed finally seeing Sonny. Maurice's acting was spot on when snapped back to using Sonny's voice and demeanor. The second he spoke, it was obvious that Sonny was back. It really illustrated just how different Mike was from Sonny and the challenge he took on as an actor. While Mike was basically a new character, we saw brief flashes of Sonny come through at times. As much as I didn't like the storyline or how long is dragged on, I did enjoy watching Maurice act the part.

I totally agree! It was clear from the look on his face that he had returned as Sonny. And he's not taking any crap from Nina...totally Sonny. Maurice did an amazing job playing 2 totally different characters with just those few hints of Sonny peaking though Mike's persona.

OK, I'll be the one to ask. Where the heck were all of Sonny's (now Carly's) guards when he just showed up back home and walked on in. you know the ones who always called to announce visitors? You would think someone would maybe give his widow a heads up he was back.

Good question! I guess we're also supposed to assume that Jax didn't tell Sonny a thing about what's been going on at home? He offered Sonny the use of his car and plane, but it was never revealed if Jax flew back too. I guess he stayed in Nixon Falls with Nina? He was frantically trying to call Maxie to warn her about Peter. Did he not think to call anyone in Port Charles and tell them about Sonny, especially knowing that Jason and Carly were getting married? He even left Josslyn to be shocked by Sonny's return. And are we to assume Sonny was already gone when Anna and Valentin arrived at the clinic and their paths never crossed? Jax didn't tell them about Sonny either. It makes no sense.

I was thinking the same thing....no guard announcement and the door was unlocked. And totally unrelated, but it felt like there were a million commercials yesterday. I swear we'd see 5 minutes of show and then 5 minutes of commercials and then 5 minutes of show, etc. for at least the first 30 minutes or so.

I was thinking the same thing. How does Jax not tell Sonny what is going on? How does he not try to call Josslyn or anyone to try to stop the wedding, let them know Sonny is alive.

I agree. For a supposedly hot-shot WSB agent, Anna is such a wimp! The shoulder? Really? And then she and Valentin just stand around talking to each other instead of securing him? Really?

And I'm sure in a day or two we'll find out that Peter --- with a GSW to the shoulder -- was able to either: A) Cling to rocks on the side of cliff and get himself safely to level ground; or B) He landed in the water (without hitting any rocks along the way) and was able to swim to safety.

And I find it interesting that when Anna came across Peter in that little clearing and stood there having a conversation with him, I never heard rushing water in the background. But as soon as Peter jumped off the cliff, I could hear rushing water.

After months of the boring “Mike” storyline and all the build-up to Carly and Jason’s wedding, that’s how Sonny makes his shocking return to Port Charles? So anti-climactic. Then Jason explains in five minutes everything that’s happened, and Sonny is OK with it.

Guess they’re saving all the drama for Carly’s confrontation with Nina.

Anna and Valentin are idiots.

I'm going to guess Sonny will get upset when he realizes Carly and Jason have actual feelings for each other. The fact he didn't realize it when he walks in on them in his bedroom is beyond me, but maybe it's just shock, lol.

My thoughts exactly...he looked at the whole situation as what they needed to do for the business. At some point something is going to happen to make him realize that Carly and Jason were actually falling in love.

I watched a bit of a live interview with Maurice yesterday, and he made a hint that Sonny has a hard time erasing his feelings towards Nina

I was thinking about this today. A theory could be that when Sonny finds out about Carly's feelings towards Jason, he pulls away and ends up going towards Nina. This could take some time with him denying his feelings all along. Again, just a theory, but I don't think they'll just be all happily ever after. It's a soap right? lol
But man, are Sonny's kids and Carly gonna rip Nina a new one soon! That's for sure!

I think Jason is going to be the one left reeling. Carly might have feelings for Jason, but Sonny is back and Carly will be thrilled to have her family together again. Jason is suddenly all alone and will try to hide his feelings for everyone else's sake. He'll probably turn back to Britt, but she might not be ready to forgive him.

I don't think (at least I hope) Sonny will ever have warm feelings toward Nina. She basically stole 9 month of his time from his family. She deserves to have Carly and the kids rip her a new one and turns their backs on her for good. She'll probably turn back to Jax or Valentin for comfort. I don't see Jax forgiving her easily because Josslyn was one of the people affected by her actions. I don't like the potential Anna/Valentin pairing. I think Nina will realize that she and Valentin are more alike than she originally thought. She can hardly blame him for his deception after she was turned out to be no better. He's about to be deeply hurt when he learns the baby isn't really his. Perhaps they will commiserate and rebuild together.
