The GH Official Thread Part 2

Don't you love it when they keep the same people in characters for so long? Did you know that Alan Quartermaine was prince charming in the Cinderella movie with Leslie Ann Warren?

I lost count of how many Lucky's they had...I see Jonathan Jackson is going to be in the new show Nashville this fall.

I think one of my favorites is Robin though, it's such fun to see flashbacks from when she was just around 4 years old!!

I hate the recasts, or most of them anyway. Sometimes I get used to a new person playing someone but sometimes it just never clicks for me. Lucky will always be Jonathan Jackson to me. And I was so glad when they brought the original Nicholas back. I never liked the Emily recast either. And I never thought I'd like a new Carly, but I like the woman they have now. The two in between were not Carly. But the woman playing her now has become Carly to me. When Sarah Brown left I thought they would never be able to recast Carly. I didn't really watch during the Claudia era when they brought Sarah back and I'm glad I didn't.

Yeah, that was totally weird seeing the "old" Carley playing a different character on the same soap...they pulled it off pretty good though, they darkened her hair and she had a different accent. I always thought it'd be cool if the Hospital had a "reunion", and a bunch of the old cast members come back for it.

My husband always rolls his eyes when I say..."Oh, he/she used to be on General Hospital", like Demi Moore, and John Stamos.

Yea, my husband doesn't get nearly as excited as I do when I see someone that used to be on GH.

I'm worried about the long term fate of the show though. I'm hoping that Todd will bring over some OLTL fans and help boost rating enough to keep GH on for awhile. Its still unbelievable to me the decline of daytime soaps. I remember both my grandmothers watching their "stories".

Was everyone's show interrupted today just as Jason and Liz are going to talk?

Jason/Liz = been there, done that. A few times already. :headache:
Talk about beating the same old dead horse. :rolleyes2
Woman has been on the show forever and they never seem to move her forward. I think she's gonna be eighty and still be ping ponging between (un) Lucky and Jason. :rolleyes1
I swear at this rate one day we will see a wrinkley old Liz in a rocking chair with her menonite bonnet on, while Jason will be bald with a stringy comb over. His only wardrobe will still be a black T-shirt, yet it will meet his knees because he can't afford the steroids anymore. :rotfl:

Really sick of Trey and Joe Jr. right now. Both look greasy and smarmy.....

While I agree that I wish they would give her a decent story line (albeit with Jason ;) ) they have dragged out this Sam and Jason thing for so long I want to vomit. A few years back he told Sam that if she ever hurt Liz or her kids he would kill her...but 2 weeks later were all lovey dovey. Ok not 2 weeks but this back and forth is ridiculous. I don't like Sam with Jason, liked her with Lucky and love her with McBain.

I feel bad for the actors. Pick a story line and stick with it for longer than a week for Liz.

I'm on my phone...does any of what I just wrote make sense?

Not to mention she's still young enough to have more kids by different baby's daddies!!

What you missed yesterday was basically Liz surprising Jason with a little birthday celebration, and then talking to him about more chances between the two of them because of the pending divorce.

In the meantime, back at the farm, Sam is telling Alexis that she now realizes nothing was Jason's fault (regarding the baby) and was re-thinking the divorce, because she still loves Jason, and Alexis is encouraging her to go talk to Jason.

Can we see where this is going? Another caught-in-the-same-old-rebound storyline.

I agree, I like Sam and John McBain together!

I'm old enough that I remember my grandmothers listening to their stories on the radio! :lmao:

Fridays episode was a bit boring. I missed Todd's humor!

SAdly, I just read on Twitter from Carolyn Hinsey that John Ingle has passed. RIP!

That is so sad. He was always one of my favorites.

I always enjoyed David Lewis in the role but John Ingle came in and made it his own...

I had a feeling this was coming soon, after his appearance last week. May he rest in peace.
