Well at least their keeping it that Todd/Franco and Starr/Kiki will be father and daughter. still not liking the new characters they are playing, hopefully it will get better.

So he is Franco? I haven't watched today's episode yet.

I was really hoping it would be something better than that.

Ugh, yes... he's Franco. It's sooooo annoying! For one, Todd was incredibly likeable even though he did bad things. The whole point was he did things because he thought he was protecting the person or just being really selfish. He wanted to be good but he couldn't be. It's what made him so attractive to women like Blair and Carly.

But FRANCO?! He's a freakin psycho. He isn't likeable at all.

Exactly what I was thinking! I liked the actor in a role where he did bad things but you could kind of understand why - somehow he was slightly likeable. I don't like the idea of him playing the total psycho at all!

I do not know how they are going to "redeem" Franco. The serial killer? Kidnapper, possible rapist.

I know Todd was bad but there was motivation. He was abused. Tormented.

Maybe that is where they are going to Franco? Use Roger Howarth's appeal to redeem the character. James Franco played him as a psychopath devoid of human emotion. I don't wonder if it was JF himself that made the character so unlikeable. He was cartoonish and crazy.

Todd was damaged, broken but he was never crazy. He never was a completely unredeemable.

I like Roger Howarth so I'm HOPING this isn't a huge mistake because I hated James Franco and the Franco character.

I agree with you. Very good to see him back but really wish they would have made him a new character.

I never watched OLTL short of a few episodes so I only know RH on ATWT and GH. L-O-V-E-D him as Todd. Loved him for all the reasons posted above. Loved him because even though you hated him his darn lines were so funny and you felt sorry for him in a way. Yesterday, he did have some good lines but, Franco? Really? We are going to redeem Franco? Now we know why the blonde hair...to get him closer looking to Jason. IDK about this. I'm just glad he's back and hopefully they might write him like they wrote Todd. (Wishful thinking I know)

On a side note, Silas CREEPS me out and I thought "John" was hot.

Silas is more like Stephen Clay in mannerisms, and the greasy hair and blue contacts, blech. Kiki needs to just go away along with her annoying with a capital A mother Ava. Mama is basically pimping her daughter out to the highest bidder (tracy) for a butt load of cash. RH as a repentant Franco, I'm reserving judgement. Waiting for the other shoe to drop. I can see everyone beginning to mellow toward him only to find he's been holding Jason captive and is the one pulling Jerry Jacks' strings with Robin

I didnt watch yesterdays yet but I was wondering if Franco is now just played by Roger or his different appearance is part of the story line?

On another note, I love Baby Danny! He is so cute. Although my DD and I always say "what is Danny eating today?" since he always has snacks. Sweet baby!

Sigh, once I saw it was Franco, I deleted it. I hated that character,sigh, oh well. After too many years to count, no more soaps for me. Guess they just wanted to destroy this one instead of just cancelling it.

I so don't like the new characters. Todd was great as Todd. He was funny and had great chemistry with Carly. They have totally ruined all of them!! The show as become painful to watch. Dante and Lulu??? I fast forward every scene with the two of them. They killed Dante. Zero attraction between the two. I don't know how they are going to bring the show back because what they have been doing so far is horrible.

So are they going to try to redeem the Franco character so that people view him kind of like we did Todd? I know right now its difficult for me to see it working, but I've seen stranger things on soaps. Soap fans get more "connected" to their show/characters then regular shows I think. So when change comes abruptly we sort of cringe and our first reaction is often negative. Unless we hated the actor/storyline to begin with. But over time things settle into place and we adapt to the new direction. And sometimes we even learn to like it. I never thought anyone but Sarah Brown could be Carly, and the two in the middle stunk. But I really like Laura Wright and now I can't imagine Sarah Brown playing who Carly has grown into.

Anyway, I really like RH and I hope that in time they can evolve the Franco character for us into someone more like Todd was. Right now its hard because they worked so hard to make us hate Franco so they've definitely got some work to do to turn that around. But at least they are using an actor that most of us really like so that will help because you will want to like the character now. Time will pass and we'll adapt to how they want us to view Franco.

Anyway, I'm going to keep my mind open to the possibility that this could work and that maybe they can pull some interesting storylines from it.

On another note, I'm glad they ended this lost memory storyline with Lulu. Maybe once they settle into a more normal routine we can get used to her too. But so far I don't really care for her or the way things played out yesterday with her memory, it was just odd.

BTW. I love the Lulu recast. Emmett Rylan and Dominic Zambroga have loads of chemistry.

I bet he fixed her uterus.

I said he fixed her a while back, but I think she just got pregnant by Dante. Maybe he wanted another heir (hence the rush to consummate), but found out Lulu couldn't do it. So he had her fixed and she was on ice to recuperate when they found her.

Also, I'm liking NuLulu much better already with her memory back. As for Franco, if anyone can make this work its Roger Howarth. Just like that, Franco went from ridiculous (as played by James Franco) to worth watching. I'm not happy about it, but I'll take it. And Kiki isn't going to be his kid because she can't get with Michael (as I'm sure is the ultimate plan) if she is. I figure Morgan will get caught up in the gambling again and leave town without her.

I think you are the first person to say that lol. I'm not a fan of the recast.

I am so sorry for what you have gone through with your great niece.
I think Danny will ultimately be fine. I suspect this illness will serve 2 purposes -- bond Sam and Silas (yuck, I do not like that name combo!) as he saves her son, and reveal that Franco is not Jason's twin, but Steve's. When they test him for some needed blood, bone, etc., he will not have the Q markers to match. Just my theory though.
