That would be a good idea to take DS to the movies during the summer program. There will be a ton of other kids in there so if he doesn't behave number one it won't be that bad, and number 2 since it's free you can just leave. Maybe you can work late on Tues & thurs to make up for missing Wed one week.

Yes it is only one day. She just has to be careful if DS gets sick as she can't take too many days off. Long as he's been healthy she can do it, right Honey?

I hate that you even have to pay her but yes its cheaper than Day Care and it's keeps MIL from bailing out all together. So better than nothing.

Aww..poor DD...glad she didn't have strep..

I hear ya about missing work for dd...I missed quite a few days last year for DS...he has asthma...so when he gets a cold, a bad one, it affects his breathing...have to do his neubulizer........and keep him nice and warm in the house..so he doeosn't get worse and end up in hospital..

I want to take my DS to movies..but so afraid..he is 3 1/2 and ful of energy...I just can't see him sititng still.

They have a free summer program..where at 10am every wednesday..they have free movies for kids...cheap snack package for 3.00...

I mih take a day off at work and try it out.....

DD2 is very active and can't sit in a movie, but we took her anyway. It was raining and a spur of the moment decision. We were going to go this Friday and leave her in daycare. She didn't do too bad. She kept getting out of her seat, going to my lap, getting down, going to daddy's lap. But she was quiet (thank goodness). About an hour into the movie she kept saying she wanted to go. I took her out to change her diaper and then she insisted on sitting on the step next to DH's seat. I just let her - no need fighting it if she's not screaming.

We also have free movies here on Tuesdays. We've never been, but I hear it is crowded.

We took our daughter to her first movie a couple months back to see Meet the Robinsons. She ran around during the previews and then we held her when the movie started. She fell asleep in my arms so it was a peaceful movie. I'm not sure what would have happened if she were away tho...

Okay...does this thread need some spicing up? I'm trying to think about how to do that in my own little prissy way. Maybe some good GIFs will help when I get my computer fixed. I'm on a borrowed laptop right now.

Oh, and if you don't believe my prissiness, just check out my My Space (link in siggie). I am sooo G rated...

That is what I can see DS doing...get up, get down....run here, run there.

I am hoping the enticement of pepsi, popcorn or chocolate...something.....will keep him entertained for a bit.,

I imagine it will be crowded which I am fine with....as I am hoping that the more people there, will keep my son not look a bad if he is acting up..

Great pics. Don't you love the towel animals they leave for you in your room? I loved them. Couldn't wait each day to see what the next one would be. One day our towel was naughty and we had a naughty towel impersonation. I laughed so hard!!! Did your cabin boy do that any time during the cruise?

Naughty? I'm not sure I know what you mean...we only had animals. The 1st day was a walrus, then an elephant, then a pig and finally the monkey (my favorite, he was hanging from the TV)

When I cruised with Royal Carribean we didn't get any towel animals so I was suprised too! There was even one day on the cruise where you could take towles from your room to one of the showrooms and they were teaching people how to make their own towel animals. Plus Carnival sells a book too.
