Anyone else watching the games? I love this show!! :cheer2:

please update me, I had to go out last night and missed it, but I do love it! such a shame Darren Day left, I soooo wanted to see him injured and humiliated :teeth:
Is Peter Duncan the great know it all annoying scout leader I imagine he is?

Peter Duncan seems a bit sleazy! Javine is a bit attention seeking, she kept whining about the cameras in the house. Michelle Gayle came first for the kayaking (sp?) and Jade won the mens waterski game. Goldie was meant to be on the mens team but he broke his thigh bone 2 weeks ago so Adam Rickett has taken his place, he has only had a 14 days to learn all of the sports!

The woman's cycling tonight was brilliant. DS and I were jumping up and down shouting at the tv for Julia to beat Javine as Javine is a bit too cocky for my liking. :cheer2: Michelle Gayle took a nasty tumble - glad she was ok. I quite enjoyed the men's Kendo tonight too although I have no idea how the scoring works :confused3 I feel sorry for Adam Rickitts as he doesn't stand a chance only having 2 weeks to train in all the events (he came in as a substitiute after Goldie broke his leg) I used to like Amanda Lamb on A Place in The Sun but she's coming across as a right moaning minnie.

I can't wait for the woman's gymnastics - should be a laugh and the men's diving and speed skating should be exciting. I just lurve Reality TV Shows :thumbsup2

I thought it was really staged how Javine collapsed after getting off her bike, it was so attention seeking!!

I missed it last night :sad2: but I know what you mean about Javine and Amanda. It always makes me laugh when they call these people celebrities, a failed Pop star/Eurovision act and a MP :confused3

I was quite glad Julia won the cycling it looked so tough though! thought the Kendo was a great choice of sport, really good to watch. I'm rooting for Jade Jones and Julia I think.

the kids and myself are loving this as we did last time - is Peter Duncan really 51 yrs old - he looks good though, and he's holding his own against the young un's. I'll have to tape it tonight cause its a bit late for youngest son!!!

Absolutely brilliant tonight The men's vault was great. Peter Duncan did a good vault, landed badly and then ended up doing a flying belly flop off the end of the mat :lmao: The women's gymnastics was amazing and I'm sorry to say Javine (little moody madam) was in a class of her own and deserved to win. The rest of them were excellent too.

I was really hoping that Julia would win but noooooo Javine had to be fantastic didnt she! I noticed that when Julia did really well Javine was the only person not to congratulate her!

I noticed that too Jen. I do think that Javine had an advantage being obviously choreographed from her singing career etc. She was good though, but Julia was better considering she hasn't had a music career.
I thought Javine was having a strop because she thought she should have won the cycling. The mens vault was good though but JK was robbed! couldn't beleive how puny Adam Rickett is!

couldn't beleive how puny Adam Rickett is!- carolfoy - you and me both!!! how could mc (wots his name) be given more points when half his vault was a twist that he did after he landed!!!!!

:rotfl: Snookhams, I'm glad you agree! wimpy boy! I did feel sorry for him though, as he's obviously feeling the lack of training is a big disadvantage.
I think MC won because the vault he was attempting was sooo much harder than JKs chosen one, so points were deducted from a much higher potentail score. whereas JK got more points for a lower score - does that make sense? I used to do gymnastics and remember thats kind of how it worked.
(for anyone on theses boards whp has met me please refrain from laughing too much - I was actually quite small and delicate as a child :rotfl2: )

I think there are a lot of mind games happening in the womens camp. Javine saying she wasn't well and then she turns around and does a performance like that :stir:
I felt quite sorry for Amanda, well done to her for getting up and having a go :thumbsup2

yes, well done to Amanda, I don't know how she'll cope with the rest of it though, looking forward to tonights pool sessions

the champion of champions is on saturday 25th at 9:10 pm, YAY!!!! shane Lynch is super buff, even I can get over the tattoo thing when I see him ripple

I've been watching too and YES i have to agree about Adam- he looks so skinny and weird but I guess it's supposed to be muscular and fat-free? He looks malnutritioned to me....

MC whatisname's vault was hilarious- like you say Snookhams- his 360 degree turn was 50% stumbling around on the mat after landing!...it was nearly as hilarious as Peter Duncan's slicked-down side-parted hairstyle- what on earth was going on there, was it supposed to streamline him to go faster or something?! Before last night I agreed he was looking pretty good for his 51 years- (in fact -confession time- I used to have a bit of a teenage crush on him during his Blue Peter days -remember that tartan suit girls?!) but he needs to sort his hair out for tonight- I'll be watching out for it!

The girls gymnastics was fab but it was slightly annoying that Javine won....

Oh Lindsey, I'd totally forgot about Peter Duncans hair - he looked like little Lord Fauntleroy :rotfl2:
