The Future of Fast Pass Plus

Wow I've always enjoyed my back and forth with most of you but you're being a serious troll here.

Elitist message board "experts" pfffft
I finally found who made the comment. Interesting term. A bit :stir: though.

"The only opinion that matters is mine." I realize that many feel that others should just bow down to their greatness and accept everything they say as truth but that's not reality. A true discussion can change some minds but not continually saying someone is wrong without anything of substance to back that up.

Truthfully, something working well for someone doesn't mean a thing in the overall picture of things. Something working for everyone does.
Yes but according to some posters, we should just shut up and deal with a substandard system or not go to the parks. Just quit complaining!

The thing that really amuses me about this argument is that it's said when they can't come up with a decent rebuttal to your viewpoint. It reminds me of me and my sister when we were kids. Whenever she disagreed with me she'd say, " Well, you're just dumb!" and walk away.

But why don't the people who are unhappy with this discussion, just walk away? If I found a topic annoying or tedious, I would move on to another discussion rather than berating posters who have opinions that differ from mine. Agree? Disagree?

Trolls are so Harry Potter. I wasn't even bringing that into the mix.

I apologize for my comments. Let's just get back to 2012 already. Because by the looks of it not much has changed:

The app still sucks
People are losing their FPs
People can't make their FPs
Guest Relations and IT are still getting hammered for Disney's debacle
You have to stand in a line to avoid standing in a line
People suddenly have 14 accounts

Should we go on?

I'm on your side for the record. ;)

As somebody that won the jackpot with FP+ day one :cool1: (and therefore no longer really care/need to participate in all the FP+ threads) I like seeing the usual suspects blood pressure up and hashing out the "current negative elements/reports" of FP+, no matter how big or small or rare. It's always good information and possibly gets back to WDW for feedback/improvements. Yea they may get there on their own, but keeping pressure on is good. Keep it coming IMO. ::yes::

I'm pretty sure we were all pretty calm and no blood pressures were raised in said thread. I know mine wasn't (can't say the same for the other side). I'm actually very laid back right now. ;) I find it hilarious that we still have a reason to discuss the issues with FP+ at this point in time. But until it works right for everyone all the time I guess there will be discussions about it.

I dont see where people are telling people to quit complaining. I see people telling people to complain to the people that can do something about it. But some people think that they are doing Disney a service by constantly complaining on a message board about every perceived issue. Sniping seems to popular among some these days.

And like it or not. Try to dismiss it. But not going back to a place that causes you such an issue is a valid rebuttal to the entire argument. Some people who are the most vocal critics have said they are either not going back to wdw or do not plan on going back for many years so they themselves have validated the position that not going back is a very valid response to changes Disney has made that has diminished the value or lessened their vacation experience. That is the beauty about being a consumer and having the right to determine where your money is spent.

You started this thread and asked for opinions. I guess you miss the irony in telling people who are unhappy about this discussion that they should just walk away from it but somehow when people tell others that they should just walk away from disney if they are unhappy is somehow not a valid response. Oh, the irony of it all :confused3

Not sure how exactly the app sucks. Yes there was the 12-1am glitch was happening, but I've booked all my ADRs on it, am as to check the ones I missed out on daily, and my planning OCD has seen me change my FPs at least a dozen times on it hassle free. True I had difficulty getting the exact times I wanted the night I booked, It cleared up by morning. Maybe it's been a bit slow at times, but that's consistent with the Go networks as a whole. ESPN, ABC, Disney apps/sites run slow, compared to ESPN fantasy app, MDE is Flash Gordon.

People are losing FPs and yes this sucks, but as I stated earlier what is the %? Based on what I've read here and other sites, during peak season conservatively 200,000 people walk through the gates. I would guess less than 1% have had that happen to them. Yeah if it happened to me I'd rage the way they did too, but really don't see Disney telling me to screw off, I'm SOL.

Agree about IT, they are taking an unfair beating as they weren't the designers of this. Disagree about Guest Services, if the problems are soooo rampant, why isn't there an A&E length line at GS on a daily basis?

Agree the kiosks are a massive problem, one that I think will be a thing of the past eventually, but should have never been the sole way to obtain extra FPs from the start, and you certainly should have been able to book on the app by peak season. This is a fail.

Not sure what you mean about 14 accounts, unless you are referring to AP holders with a sack full o' MBs. People suck and will always try to buck the system. I would guess the people in the park doing so on a daily basis would be in the single digits.

Ok, we hardly ever see eye to eye....let me rephrase...never see eye to eye, but I have to agree with you on this one.(:duck: and looks for a lightning bolt) I wish more people would take that stance if they are upset with the focus of WDW.

We have made that decision and will speak with our wallets (not that I still don't email them examples/concerns). I've made it clear when we will visit WDW again so there is no need to rehash it. One can only hope this is all cleared up by then.

We did just this this year. Canned our five days if WDW and tried other Orlando parks (still did DCL). We had a blast.
But I'm still sad WDW touring ( I love that word) had to change. The 14(?) years if FP were wonderful to me and my family.

Have you tried Disneyland yet?

I'm just back from my third WDW vacation with FP+. I can say with confidence that yes, the value of my vacation has lessened.

I do not own DVC but there are quite a few poster that have Post-purchase rationalization, also known as Buyer's Stockholm Syndrome. When someone who has purchased an expensive product or service overlooks any faults or defects in order to justify their purchase. In other words, Disney can do no wrong.

As I was chatting with a CM in front of TSMM yesterday at 9AM opening the SB wait line started at 60 minutes. I said something like Wow 60 minutes already. And she said yes, the whole park comes here at opening. There have been so many rooms added to WDW, yet ride capacity hasn't changed in the park in years. Yes, Avatar land is coming but I wish they wouldn't take as long.

The future of FP+ is in the form of hard ticket "events". I am getting the Frozen package next month, not because my DD's are into Frozen as much I am purchasing 3 extra FP+. One for the "Welcome Reception", one for the singalong and one for the fireworks. They may call it a premium package but really it is 3 FP+ and dessert.

What do you call me who has not yet bought DVC, but still wants to buy it regardless of FP+ ;). I actually hope that some DVC owners are mad enough by FP+ that they'll be willing to sell their contracts cheap :cool1:

Opportunist.
