Amazing 5 mins after my 60 dat window open and 7DMT FP+ all gone..
What are your trip dates?
Amazing 5 mins after my 60 dat window open and 7DMT FP+ all gone..
You are right you had to be on "on property guest" at universal, just show your room key to get in the express lane.

Because their park tickets disappeared from their bands?
Because their FP+ reservations disappeared from their bands?
Because their bands say they have already entered the parks, although they haven't?
Because Fred doesn't like being called Betty as he enters the park?
Because sometimes you stand in a line to avoid another line (kiosk)?
Because it must be a ride if there is a line?
your funny
When our magic bands wouldn't let one of our party into the park (MK). Olivia (cm) fixed it on the spot. Took maybe 15 mins. MK, she took us to stand in ac area next to the lockers.
Being a disney crazy person, it was very cool I got to go to the back side of Guest services and sit inside an office area where most guest never get to go. Middle of Oct 2013.
Maybe its just me but most of my experiences have been positive when it comes to Disney customer service, in the parks.
This in no way discounts neg experiences others have had.
No. Anyone who bought a ticket to Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure could stick their ticket into a machine and get a "FP". You didn't have to be staying onsite. It was "free" with admission for anyone. (Old school Universal guy here as well).
But back to Disney.

That is pretty sweet. It totally trumps those that were affected by the outage recently where they were shut out of the parks, forced to stand in a GR line in the heat, but were offered the chance to purchase bottled water for their troubles. Progress.
I'm not that old school Universal.
Disney has been the example on how to do things, they seem to be slipping.
Here is the butt, Still love them for the over all experience.
I'm old enough to remember pre fast pass era (barely)
fastpass where around what late 1990s

I'm old old school...MK circa 1972 is the first trip we took when you couldn't just drive up in the parking lot while it was being built with no security. I was disappointed as a kid because you couldn't "see" anything. It was sorta like the Griswold's showing up at Walley World. Needless to say, my parents and I had a good laugh when Vacation came out.![]()
Just finished an hour of this mess. Was able to get 7DMT for sept 27,28, and oct1. Party size of three. Tried to adjust times couple of those days but nada, so looks like they were indeed gone quickly. Thankful to get A&E on oct 1 but at lousy time to conflict with adr. Fingers crossed that they are still there in the morning.Amazing 5 mins after my 60 dat window open and 7DMT FP+ all gone..
haha Oh the good old days of no fastpasses standing in line for whatever you wanted when mk was Disneyworld.
1974 - half running VW Van w/ sink lol
All this fp+, magic band, crap disappearing has got me worried for old timers that love to run to rides and do everything in one day without to much wait time.
Really dis like the new Disney corp, form letters, here is a sticker attitude.

I don't think FP+ will affect the average guest at all. I was talking with a client today and she mentioned she was going to disney in September. I asked if she had made her FP+ reservations and she had no idea what they were or why she should make them. When I hear this my first reaction is always "seriously?"
I think lots of people just won't make the selections. First timers (unless told by someone seasoned in disney) won't worry about making FP+ reservations (fairly involved thought process). Just like they didn't worry about paper FP (which of course was the easiest concept ever).
So in my opinion the average guest will be affected zero. Who is affected? The people who knew and loved the old system.
I think it's here to stay and I'm ok with that.![]()
Or is it just something "new"?I agree about your views on DVC, but there are plenty of people that are willing to buy. DVC conversions also allow Disney to cut back on their housekeeping staff. Another perk!I don't respect them anymore (WDW). I don't agree with their vision/focus. A recent example would be the conversion of half the Poly rooms to DVC (with Wilderness Lodge following right behind). By reducing their "hotel" inventory to DVC they show a higher occupancy rate by taking those rooms off the grid. It works for short term gains, and on paper it looks good. I'm pretty sure they will be offering a "free" Mickey Bar with every new DVC purchase in the near future.
They are inviting a bunch of people to commit to come back and see just how much they haven't done. Some see it and some don't. That is just an example of where the disagreements come in to play. It isn't always the obvious subject at hand, but an underlying theme. FP+ is easy to "pick on" because it reminds me of just how much focus they've lost "for the greater good of all".
How many threads on the boards a generating "anything new" This statement can be made about every new post. You just don't like what's being said here. But you havent generated anything new that hasnt already been mentioned before multiple times about the FP+ system. It generate the comments it did because people love to chime in about how much they dislike FP+s .
Have you tried Disneyland yet?

Small world, same here - mine spent two months in the NICU.

I notice how you slip in the word "perceived" when referring to peoples' complaints about MDE and FP+, as if you don't believe these issues exist. Interesting...
I dont dislike what is being said here. I find it humorous actually. Disagreement and dislike dont always go hand in hand.
Should I believe everything I read on the internet? I sure hope you dont. When you read negative reviews about anything on the internet do you just take them at face value? Have you seen some of the stuff that people complain about on tripadvisor for example? Do you agree with all of it or believe everything?
Again, I say perceived because whenever an anecdotal story is reported on the Dis, it often lacks context and fine detail. People seem to leave parts out of their stories that casts them in a less than positive light or where they may have contributed to the issue.
However, I do think that some issues with MDE do exist and they do need to be fixed immediately.
You are going in September and could not get 7DMT at 60 days out? How large is your party?
