The Future of Fast Pass Plus

You have been. You just refuse to "get it". ;)

Ahhh a mystery.....:joker:.....you've said nothing........you think its clever........:joker: but really.......you feel superior now :confused3. In the end all this will get better as the system gets fleshed out. Now you don't want to hear that but...............this isn't life or death. If Disney wrongs you........by all means complain............but stop with the sanctimonious "you just don't know......or you just don't get it"............crap. I don't get the point of view that moans and pines for the good'ole days.........they're gone...........move on.

I think the PP was referring to the FP practice of being able to ride the E-tickets back to back to back to back using paper. That is the biggest reason people say it won't work for them, they want the headliners only and want to ride them multiple times without a significant wait. Or the other argument about being able to pull 10+ FP's in a day?
ahhhhhhhhhhh so if your statement is accurate........:scratchin.....these complainers had a loophole/process that benefited them, allowed them to hoard FP's........to the detriment of other park visitors. Now Disney has closed that loophole.....and their upset. :scratchin Really...............:rotfl2: From my point of view they're bad sharers! If your statement is accurate.... Doug :goofy: Now lets see how many come back to deny what you wrote :wave2:

Hi!!
Here I am!
My kids like riding the same rides over and over & we did it without breaking FP rules!
They love BTMRR. Love it. We grabbed fast passes over & over for that and never tried to ride outside our window. We DID use all the members of our party's tickets to grab 8 passes and then let the kids ride twice per window.
We did this knowing we were "missing" other rides. But we don't care for POTC, HM, & only care to do PP every few trips.
We loved old FP.
And we would on TSMM 3 times & Soarin' 3 times, too. Fair and square.
We're super users & not ashamed.

Don' be lazy. Do some research on this subject and you will "get it". Rookies....pfffft.

It's just me being a nattering nabob of negativism.

Poor little Disney had no idea that people would have to upgrade their phones.

Or we could just rehash this BS for the thousandth time? I'm game if that is what we really want to do.

If you don't want to do that why are you on this thread? You can't just post your argument as - "see what I posted four months ago"

I'm at lunch and I can't type with my mouth full.;). I'll be back. :)

My own personal reliability vs. Disney IT? It's not even a close call. That's not to say IT in general. Just Disney's IT. Disney puts out a great product. But their IT sucks. And now they have put access to that great product in the hands of that IT department. It used to be that you had to deal with crashing phone and IT systems planning for your trip, but once you stepped foot in the park, you could leave the IT side of it behind you. Now you can't.

Its a good thing they didnt rely on IT systems for the legacy FP system.

Oh wait...:rolleyes1

Oh snap..........I don't have a snappy come back for a troll (sorry I stole that from btk2333 ;) ) Obviously you've beaten me with you superior skills and repartee :lmao:

The beauty of that system was that it had transparency and accountability. Once you had a FP in your hand you were set, it was on you to hold on to it and show up. The new system lacks both. You may show up on time with your band and find out you can't get in, nobody knows why or who to blame (but it's pretty convenient to blame you).

I actually replied to your post that started your back and forth with Hatter with the "education" you asked for. He knew that when he answered you.

FYI I checked 7dmt fp+ all morning- they ran out at 11:15 eastern time this morning- up until them they were available

But how many are you checking for? 1 fp+ is hardly useful for a family thst wishes to ride something as a family.

Just got done checking and there was not once in 30 days, until Aug. 27, that 7DMT was open for me to make a FP+ for a party of 3.

Please don't reassure folks that they can get a FP+ for a family for this ride on short notice. Sure it MAY happen but the chances are slim to none.

Here's an opinion and the subsequent feedback from a recent visitor to WDW...............

Doug :goofy:

Doug, thanks for the link to that great report. However, he did hit on the one thing that bothers me. I am a senior and not tech savvy! I have an old fashioned flip phone to use for phone calls only (what an idea huh?:rolleyes1) and will have to make the trek to a kiosk to change times or set up new fp's. I will have to wait and see what happens.
Believe it or not, there are people out there who do not have smart phones, nor do they want one. I ran into a large family last year at WDW, yes with teenagers too, who did not want or have smart phones. They seemed happy:confused: I also feel sorry for those other people who think a vacation to WDW is okay to do without any planning. They really have not idea all that is involved. My son and his wife/kids went this past May without any planning in advance; they honestly didn't know it was needed. I did try to fill them in,and they looked at me like I was crazy:sad2: Surely a vacation wouldn't require that level of planning? Anyway, they went and did not see or do as much as they could have with planning.
So...........I will be trekking to the kiosks to do things and will let you other dissers know how that turned out:)

I get that part. Not my point. The point is that even the Legacy FP system relied on Disney's IT. To be totally dismissive of Disney's IT department on one hand because of FP+ failures but to laud the legacy FP system which was also IT reliant is a bit contradictory in nature.

And dont get me wrong. I am not saying that all of these issues are being caused by the end user. But the reality of it is that some are. And the problem with 100% relying on anecdotal accounts about using the FP+ system is that we dont have full information and people when giving their accounts by human nature, tend to cast themselves in the best light and leave out some details that might have contributed to issues that they experienced.

I'm checking again nightly- it seems like they tend to open up around 9:00 pm central time

You super user...how dare you take rides from other families. ;)

I am crushed that after all this time...nearly a year...and we are right back to bickering about super users abusing and hoarding legacy FP and comparing the two systems.

Let's stick to the reality. Legacy is gone and never coming back. We are stuck with FP+. Sometimes it works fantastically, and sometimes it doesn't do so good, and sometimes it fails the guest miserably.

I just want whatever system is in place to work. So far it hasn't for me...not consistently.
