There have been the worst things, and best things, but never funniest things. So what's the funniest thing you have ever seen at either park or CityWalk.

I give a few funny things I have seen at the parks.

USF:

T-Rex area: there was a father with his daughter he was trying to get a picture of her with the T-Rex, well she kept crying and ran away, so I said "I take a picture of the both of you with it." So the father says ok. Well as I am taking the picture the T-Rex ROARS!! and the kid just went crazy at that point I snapped the picture. He had a digital camera so we looked at the result and he said "That's one for the photo album"

JAWS: Every time that Jaws doesn't pop up is funny because the tour guide always comes up with a funny line to play it off. "Oh no he's gone under the boat" "It looks like he hit the electrical barge" That's always funny.

IOA:

Triceratops Encounter: This has to be the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life and I don't know if this "Man" it was a man was serious. Anyway this Middle Eastern man is one of the people to pet the Trike, well the host said is there any questions, then the man went to work, "When it goes to the bathroom where does it go?" the host, we have a sanitation facility here where the waste is disposed of and turned into compost. "The Triceratops is pretty big how do you get it out of here with these posts here?" Well the posts are removed with a crane and you see those big siding doors behind you we transport her through those doors. "What do you feed it?" "We're does it live when it's not at the park?" "Does she have a mate?" "How much did it cost to clone her?" The man went on and on and the host was feeding him lines for all the questions, I don't know if the man serious or a manager, they send management around plain clothed to watch the employees I figure that was what this was; if not some needs a reality check.

Spinosaurus Area: The was funny, a family climbs on the railing around the Spino, each one is holding on to the other, it was a Man mid 30's 2 Teenage kids, Mother mid 30's, the Grandpa was taking the picture well Mom slips and they all fall into the woods next to the Spino. I ran over to help out and make sure they were ok, they were. It was just funny to see that.

While my 7 yr old was in the T2 attraction, my 5 yr old peanut and I were collecting autographs outside.

My boy saw Frankenstein and after he signed my son's autograph book, I asked to take a picture. Frankenstein picked up my kid, who refused to wear a belt that morning  , but *I* just took a deep breath on our vacation and chose to ignore it, picking my battles for the day

Well, the moment Frankenstein picked up my kid from behind to pose with him, his shorts slid right down when I took the picture, in front of everyone. I think even the monster had a hard time keeping a straight face afterwards...

The funniest thing I ever saw was on a crowded day seeing the lines for Kongfrontation and Earthquake back up for over an hour. I'm sure there were alot of upset people at the exits :D

I've also seen many people talking about how upset and surprised they were after getting soaked on Popeye and Ripsaw Falls. Honestly what did they expect. Some people really have no idea about the attractions they ride. It's still funny hearing things like "They should've told us we would get this wet".

degenerationxwwfwdw1 sorry to be off topic....but i just had to post when i saw you were from Erwin. I live in Telford....Its a small world...Just had to say hello.

The funniest thing I've seen at Universal Orlando had to be Rosie O'Donnell. Not only is she funny in person, but she is funny to just look at!
ADP :p :)

The funniest thing is some guy who stood beside Shrek. I saw him once enter the park with a Big Mac in one hand and a Coke in the other. Well, maybe I didn't see it at the park... :)

My favorite one was on BTTF. I rode it twice and the same aged kid was on it. The first kid was crying at the ride end. The second kid was so excited and wanted to do it again. Her parents looked pretty green. The look on their faces was priceless! :)

Well hello right back :D Its surprising that someone else actually knows where Erwin, Tennessee is :)

And even though I've only spent a total of 5 days on Universal property I have another funny moment. My first day ever at IOA I was a junior in high school and my high school basketball team was also in Orlando in a tournament and I planned to go to IOA the same day they did. Well me and a couple of my friends from the team rode JPRA. And these guys would seem to have no fear while playing basketball and are nearly 7 footers. But they turned pale white going up the big lift hill into the main show building. And were scared absolutely to death as soon as we saw the T-Rex and they knew we were getting ready to drop. It was absolutely hillarious and of course if you knew the guys it would be alot funnier.

Barry Hom, that was hilarious!!!!!!

i think the funniest thing is watching those standing in front of the MYSTIC FOUNTAIN when they have no idea what is going to happen. :smooth:

I get a kick out of the people jumping the rails to get in the Express line, only to be rejected by an attendant checking passes right before boarding.
Back o' the line they go!

I know when I first went I had no idea what would happen.

How do they operate it?

The funniest thing that has happened to me at Universal, recently, had to have been on my last trip on January 17.

I've taken to alternating between two hats on my trips to Universal; either a "Director's" hat, for the Studios theme, or a white fendora, for the Adventure theme.

On this last trip, I was wearing the white hat. Well, we went on Cat In The Hat Ride Inside, and I guess I didn't have the hat on tight enough, because on the first spin I lost it. When we came to a stop, I turned and asked the kids in the car behind us if they saw a hat, aside from all the tall, striped ones. I enjoyed seeing how excited they were that they saw my hat on the ground and tried to grab it for me, but couldn't reach.

Eventually, I got my hat back, but I still find it ironic (and funny) that I lost my hat on the cat In the Hat ride.

USO: There's a little control room in the back (I know someone who was the "Fountain of Evil" once during HHN). The fountain has a video camera (if you look, you can see it) so the operator can see you and hear you. In their room they've got all the little buttons to make sounds and water cannons fire and whatnot. I think it'd be fun to do.

Doc-How long did you have to wait to get your hat? I know many times someone will lose sunglasses or a hat in one of the spin sections, even after the operator tells them (they're supposed to) to hang onto said items.

It didn't take that long. You see, when i said the "first spin", I meant the first spin. The car left the loading station, entered the ride section, maked a sharp turn (spin) and my hat just popped off. :teeth: They could see it lying right there from the loading station.

Speaking of the fountain, this last time I went, I found it funny how she (?) picks on the people with Disney paraphernalia. :earsboy: She asked a little girl with Mickey Ears on why her hat had satellite dishes on them, and asked another little girl why her bag had funny looking cartoon on it.

Also, when the fountin does the high pitched voice (which seems to be everytime I go), is that an effect, or someone with that voice? (I've known people with that high a pitch.) Is the fountain supposed to be a girl when that voice is being used? I kept on calling it "her" or "she".

The fountain's voices are effects as well. Both men and women play the fountain. The control room - which really is no bigger than a closet and is located back behind the Sindbad venue - is pretty amazing to watch in action.

Where is the Mystic Fountain? I love it when I know something that my kids don't know--fun to surprise them since they usually (think) they know it all...:)

T&B

I'm with MIB9's....The Mystic Fountain is always great for many laughs! One time a woman was walking by talking on her cell phone and the fountain blasted her with water, reminded her she was in a theme park, and told her to put that phone away!

The first time we encountered the Fountain my kids were 3 and 8 and asked me for some coins to throw in the fountain. There wasnt anyone else around at the time as it just started up (speaking) again. The boys threw in the coins and suddenly the fountain said....thank you boys...come closer I have something for you also. We all freaked out! The boys walked closer and the fountain invited them to sit....after asking them all kinds of questions the fountain said now here is something for you and squirted them with water. I think we spent an hour playing with that fountain!

Tigger&Belle Mystic Fountain is located in Lost Continent next to Sinbad.

It was pretty funny when I had Ohai get down low and throw a coin in the fishes mouth in Seussland...I knew what would happen thanks to Barry and had the camera ready. Ohai was not amused, and usually he has a wonderful sense of humor.

And then there was the time a DIS member ate a lollipop with a bug in it, crunch...crunch. And another DIS member who ate chocolate covered octopus, very chewy.

And then I remember the problems Renee and I had at the back gate at the HRH. I know that we gave everyone who observed us a good laugh time and time again.

But TreeofLife, I have to admit your experience is the best. That will be family history, a great story to tell his dates when he gets older and you will have picutres to prove it. And it will always prove that mother knows best. LOL

The fountain is great... loved my son.. although he wasn't too fond of it at the time...

I would love the fountain job... the camera is right in front!

I would have a blast with that job!
