DH and I decided to go on the Safari ride at AK.
We are in the second row.
There are three ladies in their 60s in front of us.
There is a Father, Son and Mother sitting behind us.
During the whole ride, the Father repeats the Guide. (Example)
Guide: "The Hippo can stay under water for 10 minutes."
Father: "Look Johnny, the hippo has been under the water for 10 minutes."
Guide: "This tree is over 1000 years old."
Father: "Did you see that Johnny? That tree was 1000 years old."
Well, we come up to an area which had a couple of Gorillas (or Apes) and the Guide says something to the effect "Boy, we are lucky today. Look to your left....there are two Gorillas that are rarely seen."
As we look, there is one gorilla by a rock and another about 50 feet away.
Very quickly the one gorilla runs toward runs toward the other, pushes it against the rock and starts......well you know!
The older ladies look at each other in shock.
The Father (obiviously not paying attention) says "Look at the rare gorillas Johnny." And then says, "Oooooh, there are two gorillas under there!"
I look back at the Mother, she rolls her eyes and I start with uncontrollable laughter.
The Guide speeds up and away without saying another word.
Needless to say, DH and I laughed during the rest of the safari, and for the rest of the trip.
What suprises us the most is how many people ask "Did you take a picture?"
