After we left Design-A-Tee, we headed over to the Downtown Disney Pin Trading Store!
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I LOVE PIN PUNS!
We walked around and were trading with various cast members when we came across what was basically an entire WALL of pins.
I'm pretty sure my heart stopped because I was SO excited to see that many pins in one place!! It's not open all the time... so I'm REALLY glad we hit it when it was! Ahhh it was so awesome.
While we were in line, however, I spotted it. The pin I had been searching high and low for since August. The pin that a cast member at the Coronado Springs bus stop had had that I wanted SO BADLY, but because it was his own personal pin, he wouldn't trade it with me. ):
But no matter. It was here, now, that I found this pin. And I would have it, once and for all.
What pin is it, you might ask??
IT'S THE DANCING PEOPLE PIN!!!
For those of you who aren't familiar with this pin, it represents the signs on all of the attractions that say no standing, but the stick people really look like they're dancing. Jess and I have become obsessed with finding it, and I finally spotted it!!!
I RAN over to the cast member, who was walking away, and I basically yelled "EXCUSE ME, CAN I TRADE WITH YOU!??!!?" She was definitely taken aback and probably frightened. Nevertheless, she traded with me and I got my pin!!
I swear, Downtown Disney is the place to find that pin if you're ever looking for it! I have NEVER seen any CM in any of the parks wear it before!
Then Jess and I traded at the wall and looked around a little more before heading out.
I got a DDP Pin and an Expedition Everest fastpass pin!
We went over to Tren-D, a.k.a. THE MOST DANGEROUS STORE IN DISNEY WORLD. Seriously, I want to buy everything.
And guess what everyone!?!?! THE DRESSES WERE BACK! Remember from my previous trip reports when you loved all of my hidden mickey sundresses? Well, they brought a few of last year's styles back as well as adding a few new ones! WOOHOO!
Jess found this dress, which Katie and I also bought for ourselves later in the trip:
I also bought this dress for myself, which I wore for Jess' 3rd of July party!
After we scoured that store and drooled over all of the things we wanted, we stopped by Guest Relations to get my Annual Pass!!
Because Dave is a Florida resident, I get an awesome discount on my AP! We decided to just get it that night, and while we were there we got celebration buttons for everyone! Jess and I got birthday buttons, Katie got a First Visit button, and Mike and Dave got I'm Celebrating Buttons! They were all so cute!
Jess and I also traded in the awesome pin book at Guest Relations!
Pin trading is WAY too much fun! I love it!
After that, we headed over to none other than the World of Disney! It was crazy, as usual, but we saw some fun sights and found some great merchandise!
Mike and Katie found Woody and Jessie hats!
Isn't that the cutest thing you've ever seen?
Yeah, I thought so.
We also found some AWESOME pillow pets! I want the Tigger one SO BAD!
They really have added SO many different types of pillow pets even since I was last in Disney! I was so impressed!
We saw Slinky Dog...
My little sister collects the Toy Story toys, and she's got her eye on ol' Slink for her collection!
I had to take that picture for Preston because Slink is one of his favorites! As you may remember he has a slinky dog pin! Which reminds me... I need to buy one of those.
I tried to convince Mike to get this shirt...but to no avail. It's still REALLY funny though!
HAHAHA ISN'T THAT SHIRT HILARIOUS!?! Gahh I love cheesy puns.
Then Jess and I came across what might be the most brilliant assortment of Disney merchandise EVER to exist.
DISNEY QUOTE PILLOWS!!!
They. Are. Awesome.
Yeah and addicting. I wanted them ALL! Thankfully they were $20 each so they weren't quite as bad as I expected!
They have ones with little sayings like "Never Grow Up" and "Be Our Guest," but then they have this...
A FASTPASS PILLOW. Tell me you're not drooling. I dare you. They also have one that says "Please Pardon our Pixie Dust, we are refurbishing this area for your future enjoyment."
YEAH.
I bought them both. Don't judge me. THEY ARE NECESSARY FOR MY SURVIVAL! I am such a sucker for park merchandise. Disney just knows how important it is to me. It's like they know my inside jokes of life.
I have got my eye on them for my next trip! They're just too perfect!
We realized that we still had a few minutes before it was time to pick up our shirts, so we stopped in the Days of Christmas store, where the Toy Story love was dominating!
Aren't they so cute!? I really want the Rex one! He's my favorite Toy Story character. Probably because he's a HUGE frump.
I felt the need to take pictures of EACH AND EVERY Toy Story ornament. But no one's mad.
After we scoured the store, we headed over to pick up our shirts, which were delivered to us pretty promptly in a bag that was the color of our choice.
This is Jess'; mine is gray.
And because I know you're all wondering, here is the finished product!
Our shirts were identical, with Ariel decking out the front!
We loved them! They were so cute and it was really fun to match. It definitely added to the frumpiness!
Aren't they perfect!? Ahh I love that shirt!
Afterward, we walked back over to SSR (oh how I love saying that I could do that...it was wonderful) and got some ice to fill up our mugs with ice water for the night.
We also took pictures of our pin finds of the day. Here are Jess' pins:
And mine are on my lanyard and include my trading pins.
See the Dancing People pin. AHHH love! <3
I took a shower, we set Stacey to a timer so we could fall asleep to her serene and soothing (but not actually not really) voice, and pretty soon we were OUT.
GOOD NIGHT, PEOPLE!
