I was on that ferry once when it was so rough that I got dizzy, could hardly walk straight & stumbled right into the men's room. I'll always remember the look on the face of the man standing at the urinal!

Somewhere-not digital though or I'd post it- I have a picture of my brother and me walking on the bay when it froze about 30 years ago. I grew up in Bayshore West--snow days/ frozen anythings were few and far between.
I always enjoy seeing the edge of the bay frozen - there's a quiet at the edge of the water that is unique to winter. In our first home in Townbank we could walk up the block and steal a peak at all the ice blocks piling up on the sand. Thanks for sharing your picture of the "sunken ship". We have a summer shot of the ship in our family room -local pictures are the best!
P.S. We love the ferry, too! We ride it to Delaware and back with the kids just for fun during the summer. We call it "the 3 hour tour".
