The Fort Wilderness November 2015 Movie and Activity Calendar (Special Tgiving Events)

Everyone,

Once the Fort gets past Halloween, the November movie and activity schedule is up and available. Please note that since Daylight Savings Time ends on 11/1, the campfire/singalong moves back to a 7pm start time. The scheduled movie will start about 40 minutes after (that's 740pm).

I keep hoping my favorite Disney movie as a kid, Apple Dumpling Gang, will come back up in the rotation soon.



Note there are a few special events regarding Thanksgiving.

PS - somebody burn a marshmallow at the campfire for me, will ya?

PPS - wave the burning marshmallow around on the end of the roasting stick to try to put it out...

PPPS - then watch it get stuck on the long hair of the girl next to ya....

OH, the memories...

Yep, saw this one of the nights we went to the campfire. This was a boy who was the recipient of the melted marshmallow, right in the back of his scalp. His mother was livid but the two dads were laughing about it. It got even better when later on the kid was rolling in the gravel and came up with a head full of small pea gravel. That was when mom made the statement that they "were through for the evening".

That's where the hoses on the campsites come in handy- you roll in the dirt, expect to get hosed off!
