Did anyone else watch this and did you like it? It's been added to my list of must-watch shows (the other new one this year that I really like is Three Rivers.)
I have been watching it, and was just about to give up on it as it was pretty bad, but tonights was better and actually drew me in a bit, so I will give it another week to two and see what happens
I thought this was the first one (oops.) I also love Cold Case, which is also produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and this show kind of reminded me of it (at the time I was watching, I knew there was some other show by the same producer that I liked but couldn't remember which one so it was kind of funny when I looked it up after the show and it was the one that it reminded me of.)
I haven't watched it, not sure I'll be able to bring myself to do so - it just struck me funny. The basic premise reminds me of the aftermath of Katrina when so many people were lost in the system and also reminds me of all the wonderful folks who helped, especially the volunteers at the National Center for Missing Adults.
We watched last week and really enjoyed it. Since almost every year I get hooked on a show that doesn't make it(Justice, Journeyman, etc..) I decided to check on the ratings, they're terrible and there's already talk of being cancelled. We didn't watch this week.
I am sorry to hear the ratings haven't been good. I thought it was a pretty good show. I was interested in seeing the character developments. Ah well. Reminds me of Daylight. Loved that show. And it didn't survive the first season.
I finally just watched the first and second episodes yesterday.
I record them because the show is on the same time as "The Good Wife" and I really like watching that one.
I've always liked Christian Slater, and I thought the first/second episodes were good so I'm looking forward to watching the episode from last night too.
I also like "Three Rivers." And "Mercy" as well.
I'm sad to hear they are already thinking about cancelling "The Forgotten" though. Personally I think they cancel shows way too quickly, before they really find a following.
darn it about the ratings - I too find I get hooked into shows that don't make it. A couple years ago there was a show that was about an innocent project where they would help people in prison who claimed they were innocent. That didn't make it either.

We are enjoying The Forgotten, it's on our DVR record list. I have seen the first 2 and the 3rd one is going to be watched probably tonight. I have Three Rivers DVR'd but not yet watched, I'm looking forward to it tho! I've also enjoyed the 2 episodes of NCIS:LA that we've seen, I forgot to record last night so we will watch it on On Demand, maybe tonight.
The dividing line seems to be four episodes: The chances of a program building an audience sufficient to justify its production if it hasn't done so by the fourth episode are too small. Not zero, but small enough that the few times that giving shows longer to build an audience would pay off don't make up for the many times, by comparison, that giving shows longer to build an audience would not pay off.
