The Fockers Made Me Do it…A TR written by Peer Pressure - Updated 9/26/08 Thank You!!

Thank you so much for sharing Andrew's teenage expeience at Disney. We are taking 2 teens next year and I'm glad to see even teen boys have fun. Great report!

No one was supposed to notice:guilty:

Don't worry I think I was the only one that noticed. Everyone else was busy chatting along

SO sorry I missed you all. It was great having my friend and her kids there, but I felt like I had to be her tour guide, KWIM?

Definately! ::yes:: That's why I like going with my friend Yani because we've been so we're at the point where we just wander around enjoying the atmosphere and finding new things to do.

Thats not very nice at all. She is lovely, and is a very sweet princess who cares very much about the children she meets. And in my opinion, she looks more like her animated self than any of her doe-eyed 'model' twins do.

Miss Manday I love the pic in your siggie!! :rotfl2:
Did you take that pic? If so when was that taken? That is priceless!

I am prefacing this installment to say that this story will be told by much better story tellers than myself. Also, all pictures will be in a separate post because there are a lot of them.

We left our room at Pop Century and the sun was shining. We head to the bus stop and wait about 3 minutes for the bus to arrive. We are the only one’s waiting for the bus so we are quickly on our way back to EPCOT. While we were on the bus it started to rain again, so Jim took his shoes off when we were getting off the bus. (Side Story – the pair of shoes he didn’t care if they got wet fell apart the night before in the torrential downpour. The shoes he was wearing were $70 Minnetonka Mocs that when they become wet become hard as a rock and unwearable. ) After donning poncho’s we hit the restrooms right by the bus stops. BY the time we were done the rain had slowed enough that we could walk to security. They started to give Jim a hard time about not having his shoes on. He told them he would put them when we went to go into the park. They finally let him through after he promised, in blood:eek: , to put his shoes on.

We pull over to a little bench and the rain stopped so Jim could put his shoes on. Now it is about 3:35 and we were due to meet the Fockers at the American Pavillion so we could walk en-masse to Germany (so we could really scare them ahead of time:lmao: ).

As we were passing the times information board we noticed the wait for MS was 5 minutes and I still hadn’t ridden. Andrew agreed to ride the wimpy side with me so we ran over there and were in line in less than 2 minutes.

After our quick trip to Mars I made everyone speed walk around to the American Pavillion. We arrove and I think I was only 5 or so minutes late. CE, Mo, Katt, Z, Yanni, Mel and NOTBob are there. I walk up and hugs are given all around and then introductions (at least I think I introduced the family to everyone:confused3 – I was so excited to finally meet everyone that I may have forgotten). We chatted for a minute or 2 and the skies opened up. While we chat and introduce everyone I, of course had to go to the bathroom so I made a mad dash through the QS place in the American Pavilion. I only got slightly wet. We chat some more and Katt gives out the Fockerfest Bracelets she had made and Mo gives out the goodie bags she had made up for the kids. To the kids we gave out pins from Independence Hall (the real one:rolleyes: ) and Fockerfest magnets I had made up on the computer. Somewhere in here Jo showed up, but I am not sure when (maybe when I was in the bathroom?

Because of the massive amounts of rain a few people were late because of transportation issues so with text messages and phone calls we decided to make our way over to Germany and meet everyone there. We all don our ponchos, except Mo who didn’t bring any. I had an extra one I gave here which she wore and had Kelly walk under it with her. We make our way to Germany and I call my parents who are stuck undercover at Spaceship Earth waiting for the rain to subside. I tell them to just take their time and get there when they can.

Details get fuzzy at this point because everyone was chatting at once and hugs and gifts were being exchanged. I remember Kate’s son and Andrew bonding over video games. I remember Jo telling me that they weren’t sure where they were going sit everyone (even though we had the ADR for 6 months). I remember V rolling up with Leo. I don’t remember T or LL or Angela arriving, but turning around and they were there:cool1: . Also somewhere in there the rains stopped and my parents arrived with new, cheap, we don’t care if they get rained on shoes. Hence why, if anyone besides Z noticed, Jim was putting on shoes and socks in the lobby of the Biergarten.:rolleyes1

They seat us, not sure how long after the actual ADR time(s) but we have 4 tables of 10 so V’s seating chart went right out the window:headache: . (Sorry all your hard work was for naught V). Our table included my 6 and CE’s 4.

After socializing, eating, drinking, and watching the show which Jimmy absolutely loved we pay our checks and start congregating outside for some more photo ops.

After another at least ½ hour of chatting, gabbing, and gossiping :hyper2: we all start to break off with promises of trying to meet again we broke off into smaller groups.

Not sure where everyone else went…I know Kat and Z were making plans to watch Illuminations from France so I told them we would try to get back to meet them. I believe others were making plans to get hammered, I mean to get together to partake of some liquid refreshment. Jo, CE, Mo and I all had Test Track fastpasses burning holes in our pockets so that is where we headed. (Does it surprise you that Jo had TT fastpasses:rolleyes1 )

Jimmy decided he didn’t want to ride so just Andrew and I went. Jim and Jimmy rode the It’s Not a Small World – 3 times.:scared:

As we are walking we are all chatting like old friends and just having a great time. We walk onto Test Track with very little wait. Jo, David, Jess, Ellie, Mo and Kelly rode in one car. Me, Andrew, CE, D, Buzz and Woody rode on the other. We had a ball. Buzz and Woody rode with Andrew in the front. The photopass picture is pretty good, but I don’t have my photopass CD yet to show you.

After our stint as test dummies (which is much better in the dark!) Jo and family decided to head back to the hotel. (I think the girls were a little disappointed they were not staying for Illuminations). CE, Mo and I decided to head back to WS to watch Illuminations. We headed to Mexico because a) that is where Jim and Jimmy were still riding It’s Still Not a Small World and b) I believe Margarita’s were mentioned. We procure a place to watch, drinks are ordered (don't know if anyone actually got a margarita)
I tesxt Kat to let her know that we are in Mexico then I call Jim to let him know where we are. He brings Jimmy over and shows me the $25 carved toucan that he bought for Jimmy in the Mexico Pavillion:eek: . I have always thought those carvings were amazing, but I would never have actually paid that kind of money for it.

Jim dropped Jimmy off with me and he heads over to Japan to pick up a Power Ranger that Jimmy had requested. Did you know that the WS stores close dead on 9:00pm. We didn’t, then Jim got stuck in crowd trying to come back, so he watched Illuminations as he was stuck in a crowd over in England somewhere.

After the show hugs are given all around and we head out because we had another early day planned for tomorrow. We wanted to stop in Mouse Gear as it was our last time in EPCOT this trip, plus we wanted to see if they had the Power Rangers there – they did!
We head out to the busses, wait is next to nothing and we are back at Pop in no time. Bath Jimmy, put on Stacy and he is out like a light. The rest of us follow close behind.

Next Up – Breakfast with Pooh and our first Magic Kingdom Day.

I'm sorry to only comment on my kids, but doesn't it look like Buzz is about to stab Evan with something? :rotfl:

Great telling, Janet! It's funny that we probably all have different bits that stick for us, you know? :grouphug:

It was really a pleasure to meet you, I wish we had more time to chat but it just means we HAVE to all do it again.

Great pics, Janet! You guys look like you had an awesome time! I'm so sad that I missed it. But, if we're looking at a long weekend in October 2009, count me in!

And next time you want one of those Mexican carvings...just let me know.

They're like 5 bucks here. And they're authentic!

great update and pics.

looks like you all had a great time.

Okay, as was the case last year, I'm awed and amazed at how so many people can report on the same event and tell such different stories! And I'm not alluding to anyone being more or less accurate - only that we all experienced the same event in so many different ways. I love that! :goodvibes

Which is why I'm really reining myself in on replies... gotta save something for my own version, right?! ;)

Now it is about 3:35 and we were due to meet the Fockers at the American Pavillion so we could walk en-masse to Germany (so we could really scare them ahead of time:lmao: ).

Don't be silly, you did a great job

They started to give Jim a hard time about not having his shoes on. He told them he would put them when we went to go into the park. They finally let him through after he promised, in blood:eek: , to put his shoes on.
Really? Did the shoes get ruined or did they dry out OK?

Somewhere in here Jo showed up, but I am not sure when (maybe when I was in the bathroom?
Not sure but I was late as we got stuck at Germany :rotfl2:

They seat us, not sure how long after the actual ADR time(s) but we have 4 tables of 10 so V’s seating chart went right out the window:headache: . (Sorry all your hard work was for naught V). Our table included my 6 and CE’s 4.
I know, it was a bit of a nightmare wasn't it :sad2:

(Does it surprise you that Jo had TT fastpasses:rolleyes1 )
Hey you had them too :rotfl2:
