The Fockers Made Me Do it A TR written by Peer Pressure - Updated 9/26/08 Thank You!!

I wasn’t going to write a TR…I didn’t even take any notes on this trip. But since I have been back several of my fellow fockers who SWORE they weren’t going to write TR’s are writing them and now because of peer pressure I am writing one too…Thanks girls!

As most TR’s start out we will begin with the introductions…
Me (Janet) – 40ish mom, wife, and Probation Officer. Love Disney and planning. (Surprise isn’t it)

DH (Jim) – 40ish dad, hubby, and middle school math teacher.

DS (Jimmy) – 5 (tomorrow), going into PreK next week and a Power Ranger and Transformer fanatic

DNephew (Andrew) – 14. Typical teenager. Always texting and loves thrill rides. This is his 1st trip to Disney. Yes he had a deprived childhood.

DMom (Mom) – 70ish. Lives in FLA and works for the Mouse. Loves to tell the kids that Mickey is her boss!

DDad (Dad) – 70ish. Lives in FLA and also works for the mouse.

This trip started as all of our trips do…I started planning as soon as we returned last year. I had dates picked out for mid/late August. HOWEVER…a fellow Dis’er (Disney_Jo) who claims she is British (despite not liking Monty Python or tea) informed the rest of us Fockers (See this thread to learn more about the FOckers http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1907241&page=163…Good luck trying to keep up) that she would be returning to the world in August, 2008. This was a surprise for all of us because her DH swore they wouldn’t go back for 2 years. I attempted to met up with Miss Jo and her family last year but my stalking skills were not well polished so I never did.

After her announcement a seed…a weiner if you will was planted by Princess_V. Since there were so many of us planning on being in Disney let’s plan a big meet to include spouses, kids and Disers. So plan was planned and the winner was dinner for 40 at Biergarten.

Our dates were August 19th – 29th. Pop Century. No Dining Plan.
