The Fockers Made Me Do it…A TR written by Peer Pressure - Updated 9/26/08 Thank You!!

i'm first!!!! never, ever been first!!!:woohoo:

another dis/focker meet!!! you're on a roll janet!!!

hope andrew gets better!! i hear ya on needing a smoke!

i'm glad jimmy liked dinosaur:thumbsup2 then he didn't like ittbab? i guess you never know with the little ones, do ya?

That's why you have to go with the flow when you have little ones with you!

Look at you guys and your focker meets!!! :sad2: Jealousy is my middle name. Just call me Jen Jealousy!

Are you going to try for next October>???

And you know...we all go postal during Disney trips on the kids. I think it's actually a parental requirement!

THat is the first time I ever had to do that...I was actually embarrassed:guilty:

Breakfast character order :Donald, Mickey, Daisy, Goofy :thumbsup2

Knew I could count on you:goodvibes

It was fortunate that we ran into you twice this day Janet, the second time was a surprise, I had to do a double-take as we almost walked right past you.

I was in a fog, so I would have completely missed you which would have mad me :sad2:

Glad that Jim pulled Andrew aside for a talk, I hope his attitude improved for the rest of the trip.

More on that to come;)

when I hear a voice call Janet? I look to my right and there sitting at a table right on the other side of the wall from ours was our Focker friend Lessa, her brothers, and her mom.

Awesome! :goodvibes

Faye may be helping me out here.

Cool!

Unfortunately he didn’t make the height requirement, by a pinkie finger. He was disappointed. I don’t get how he can make the height requirement for ToT and Space Mountain, but not this one…whatever.

Having never been on this, I wonder why the tall height requirement?

I went off on him, I told him that this was not just his vacation, but also Jimmy’s and that I was not going to shortchange Jimmy because of him. If he didn’t like the way we were doing things I could always call him mother and have her get him a flight home. Jim and I both told him from the beginning that he was going to have to do things that he would think are kiddie, but that he’d have to suck it up. Guess he didn’t believe me.

Oh, Janet, I'm sorry.

Just as we got under the bus covers the skies opened up. Whew, just made it.

Pshew!

Side Note: Denise and I asked that our rooms be near each other, they didn’t need to be connecting but near each other. We were in building 9 and they were in building 2. Couldn’t have gotten any further apart if we tried.

THERE'S the Focker room luck. I was beginning to wonder! :rotfl:

And this one, just becasue I think it's cute:goodvibes
DonaldsSafariBreakfastatAnimalKi-12.jpg

I walk over to the safari, and the boys are just getting off the ride. They were excited because they got the very first row. Our FP time was approaching rather quickly, AK was not that crowded at all so we walk back towards Asia and we have to wait 10 minutes before we can enter the FP line. We hangout until the FP time. Andrew and I rode first while Jim and Jimmy watched for us coming out of the mountain. Let me just say that this ride is awesome, but even though he meets the height requirement not something I would take Jimmy on for a couple of years. After we rode and checked out our picture Jim and Andrew rode. Jim loved it just as much as me. While they rode Jimmy and I checked out the store, of course.:rolleyes1

Yes JANET... HE IS CUTE.. or Rather.. Handsome
Yeah !! Rach GOT TO BE FIRST !!:yay: :thumbsup2 Good Feeling isn't it.
(at least If my memory serves :headache: .. Insert Dawn Pic here and I can do that)

I love EE.. except for the LONGEST 15 seconds of my life. and I wondered WHY it freaked me out so much. It's not that the ride simply goes backwards in the dark, Or backwards and Uphill partially... it's that Circle they take you in.. that has me Looking for Jesus.. ( BTW.. Jesus Will Ride EE.. In case anybody needed to konw that one)

We then headed over to Dinosaur ride. We weren’t going to let Jimmy ride but he wanted to, so we let him. He LOVED it. See, things you think they are going to hate they love.
But where is the "redneck picture of you "Flashing the "Focker" at the Dino ?? Come on.. I know you have one... even I have one :rolleyes1 Not best quality..

We headed off to see It’s Tough to be a Bug because it is one of the things Jimmy requested and here is where I turn ugly on the 14 year old:scared: . He was complaining the whole time we were walking to ITTBAB because he wanted to go ride EE again. While he pouted through ITTBAB, Jimmy took his glasses off. Did not like this one at all. Oh well, lesson learned, won’t do it again. He sat on Jim’s lap the whole time so he didn’t get totally freaked out. Some kids in there were screaming. I felt bad for them.

So you had to
fighting.gif

You would have thought he would have been grateful and rode anything since he was in WDW:scared1: .
fighting.gif

After ITTBAB I needed a cigarette or I may have been in jail for homicide at that point because Andrew was still pouting and it was *(& me off. We stopped at a DSA and I just smoked.
fighting2.gif

Andrew and I rode single rider, twice. Jim didn’t want to ride again so he took Jimmy off to one of the trails to look at animals.
you are a better mom than me.. I would have said nope no ride

It was now time for the parade, which is Jimmy’s favorite of all the parades, and it was still NOT raining.

Brer Rabbit ?? NO WAY.. Never had a BR Sighting.. Saw Brer Fox and got his Autograph outside Splash Mt two years ago.:thumbsup2

And it rained some more
Pffft! Your telling me it did! D'Oh! :headache:

Ok this picture had me :lmao: 'cause there is something I noticed during our breakfast there a few days later - but I can't say until my TR installment!

And this one, just becasue I think it's cute:goodvibes
DonaldsSafariBreakfastatAnimalKi-12.jpg
Awww.. I think so too! ;)

After our battle with the Yeti we walked over to Dinoland. Jimmy was really wanting to ride Primevil Whirl because that’s the ride Stacy talks about. Unfortunately he didn’t make the height requirement, by a pinkie finger. He was disappointed. I don’t get how he can make the height requirement for ToT and Space Mountain, but not this one…whatever.
I noticed the height requirement is weirdly high as well. I think it's the same as RnRC. :confused3

Cute pics, Janet! :goodvibes

Yeah, that must be tough when the age difference is so large. I had some of those issues last year. Hopefully he got the message. :thumbsup2

I'm sorry, but that show is a little hairy for little kids. IMO. ;)

We put the ponchos on and slosh our way over to Everything Pop. We get there and there is Jimmy’s surprise…His friend’s Matt and Rose. We knew each other was going to be there, but we didn’t tell the kids…it was great.

PIC_0019-1.jpg
That's so fun! So were the kids all excited to see eachother?

Having never been on this, I wonder why the tall height requirement?

:confused3 I don't think it is any worse that BTMRR and he rides something similar in WIldwood, NJ:confused:

THERE'S the Focker room luck. I was beginning to wonder! :rotfl:

:lmao:

I didn't redneck any pictures (you can revoke my focker license now:sad2:) and we actually bought the one when we rode Splash!

So you had to
fighting.gif

You would have thought he would have been grateful and rode anything since he was in WDW:scared1: .

The thing that annoyed me was before we left, several times, we told him that he would get to do all of the things he wanted to do and Jimmy would get to do all the things he wanted to do, but we would not sacrafice either one for the other.:headache:

Ok this picture had me :lmao: 'cause there is something I noticed during our breakfast there a few days later - but I can't say until my TR installment!

I had no intention of taking him there, he requested it and Jim said to let him. I actually hat vermin of any kind so I HATE THAT SHOW!:scared1:

That's so fun! So were the kids all excited to see eachother?

I think they were shocked at first. Jimmy just kept saying mommy, Matt and Rose are here. It was very cute:goodvibes

So ITTBAB really isn't good for kids. I had read that, but I wasn't sure if my kids would like it. I'm sure it's a no now.

I've also learned that if I do two rooms in a value on our next trip I may never see K again... :sad2:

Why not do the Family suites at ASMu!?

And it rained some more
::yes::

I look to my right and there sitting at a table right on the other side of the wall from ours was our Focker friend Lessa, her brothers, and her mom... Again, no picture:sad2: .
In fine Focker tradition!

Mom was getting to leave...
I have a random question - are a lot of these meals firsts for your parents, or do they frequent the WDW restaurants wihtout you guys? Just wondering about the inside-scoop, CM view of the food services!

RIght after this we were able to take our ponchos off becasue the sun came out:woohoo:
OMG, this is so surreal - I know exactly that moment and can tell you where I was! :goodvibes

They don't do character meals without us being there, but they do go to EPCOT restaurants alot. They like to go to the shows, etc so they will go over, have dinner, see whatever show is at the American Pavillion and then watch Illuminations.

Why not do the Family suites at ASMu!?
We probably will. They are $230 a night versus $105 for a value. Suites never get discounts and value rooms might during the time we go. I was just thinking about what's the best price. :confused3
The moderates are $170, but we were cramped in there!

We get to AK, after a detour to the MK:confused:
Did he charge you for his detour?

I look to my right and there sitting at a table right on the other side of the wall from ours was our Focker friend Lessa, her brothers, and her mom.
Fantastic, those stalking skills really are great :thumbsup2

And this one, just becasue I think it's cute:goodvibes
DonaldsSafariBreakfastatAnimalKi-12.jpg
Totally agree :goodvibes

here is where I turn ugly on the 14 year old:scared: .
At least he got out of his strop, you do deserve a medal for takng someone elses kid on vacation!

We get there and there is Jimmy’s surprise…His friend’s Matt and Rose. We knew each other was going to be there, but we didn’t tell the kids…it was great.
What a lovely surprise for Jimmy :goodvibes

Okay, Janet. I missed this update until now. Guess that will learn me to be missing in the morning, right?

Anyway, thanks for giving me something to read! Jimmy looked like he was having a ball and I'm sorry that you had to put the smack down on Andrew. I agree with the others that said you deserve a medal for taking someone else's child to WDW. I don't think I could do that! It's hard enough to take my own. In fact, last time we went... we didn't!!!!!:rotfl:

Did he charge you for his detour?

No, once her realized his mistake he started the meter over. It wound up only costing us $10!:thumbsup2

It's not something I will volunteer for again:scared:

Like I said above, not something that wil happen again. Apparently his Senior Class trip his at WDW, that will be the next time he goes. ::yes::

the cab driver was too busy chatting on the cell phone to pay attention to where he was going,

I don't buy that, he wanted to run the meter. Or maybe my North east cynicism is showing.

We are so close we just walk to the gate. It was raining – hard! We take this picture and then proceed to the turnstiles.

HMM, I need to borrow your Mom, can you send her my travel dates;)

so I head back to the buffet when I hear a voice call Janet? I look to my right and there sitting at a table right on the other side of the wall from ours was our Focker friend Lessa, her brothers, and her mom.

Well, thank goodness for forgotten syrup, still need to fine tune those stalking skills huh?

After breakfast Jimmy was saying he was cold.

This is Thursday right? It was chilly.

RIght after this we were able to take our ponchos off becasue the sun came out:woohoo:

Yep, late morning right?

After ITTBAB I needed a cigarette or I may have been in jail for homicide

Did you have T's cousin # with you?

Side Note: Denise and I asked that our rooms be near each other, they didn’t need to be connecting but near each other. We were in building 9 and they were in building 2. Couldn’t have gotten any further apart if we tried.

See they were teasing you with your room, they knew you were a Focker.

Hi I think I'm all caught up !!I prefer to go solo just me alone ,noone else:rotfl2: I have enough problems dealing with the grandkids let alone someone elses. I used to taake the Church Youth Group all over, but as I get older I don't have the patience !!

Are you going to try for next October>??

::yes::

THat is the first time I ever had to do that...I was actually embarrassed:guilty:

Noooo honey. It's the heat, being overtired, spending so much money, and the go go go syndrome. The combination makes it happen sometimes. Heck...if I wake up too early I have a tendency to be slightly cranky. :rolleyes1

I don't get why some rides height requirements are fine for the kiddos and some aren't, just weird to me and I don't even have any kids! :lmao:

Thank god for those little bursts of sunshine huh?

I loved the juice at Tusker House, and the food was yummy too!

Wonderful update my friend!

OH and BTW I never got an email with links to your pics...just sayin'.

Note: it Rained some more:rolleyes:

The plan for the day was to sleep in, swim, and then hit Beaches and Cream for a late lunch/early dinner before hitting EPCOT for a couple of hours. Jimmy and Fay had other plans. Jimmy woke up at 7:30. Faye dumped more rain. (Denise and the kids were spending the day at AK). After waking up way to early we headed to Everything Pop for some breakfast and formulated a plan for the day.

We decided to take the kids to Disney Quest. Before you ask, no I have no idea what possessed us to do this. After breakfast we take the bus to the Pleasure Island stop. We but our tickets ($164 for the 4 of us:sad2: ) and wait in this gigando line to get in. Of course the moment I paid for the tickets the sun came out.:headache:

We go in and are escorted into the elevator that takes you up to the, I think, the 3rd floor. They show a little movie that has the Genie from Aladdin in it. This was the highlight of the day.

We grab a map and figure out a game plan. I felt like one of them. We went into the kids game room and Jim and Jimmy started playing some games. I took Andrew to the Cyber Space Mountain where we waited a total of 30 minutes (I don’t even do this for the real space mountain). It was cool, we got to build our own rollercoaster and then ride it virtually. No need to do it again. All the other virtual rides that Andrew was interested in had over hour waits. I guess this is a place you don’t go to when it is raining. After virtual space mountain and wandering around having no clue what we were doing we found Jim and Jimmy and I found the computers with the internet access. I logged on to TFW and said hi to everyone, but that is all I did because they were carppy keyboards and hard to use. We let Jimmy and Andrew play a couple of more video games before we headed out. We were there a total of 2 – 2 ½ hours. What a waste of money that I will never see again.

THis is the only picture we took.
DowntownDisney3.jpg

Notice the blue sky? DOn't let it fool ya:sad2:

We hopped back on the bus that was going to the BW, YC/BC, Swan/Dolphin and figured we kill some time walking around the Boardwalk before we had to meet mom & dad for dinner at Beaches and Cream. We got off at the Swan/Dolphin and got the opportunity to check out this hotel. It didn’t do much for me. If I am going to be at Disney, I want the whole Disney feel and this just didn’t do it for me, KWIM? We walked over past Atlantic Dance Hall, Flying Fish, etc. Jimmy says to me that this boardwalk is no fun because it doesn’t have rides. We checked out the General Store and then waited to take the boat over to the YC/BC. We waited for about 15 minutes and it never came, so we started walking around to meet mom and dad and about ½ way around the boat came.

We go to the YC and realize we are supposed to be in the BC to go to Beaches and Cream. I call mom & dad and they are already there. We had no clue where to go, so I asked an older CM dressed like Thurston Howell III where to go and this is where the Disney difference comes into play. Instead of just telling us where to go (I’ve been told where to go many times:cool2: ) he walked us through the YC and over to the BC and directly to Beaches and Cream where mom & dad were waiting. I go to see about checking in and we are told it will be about 1 hour wait. Um, nope not happening, so I told Andrew we would come back after Illuminations so he could get his Kitchen Sink.

We take the boat from the YC/BC over to the International Gateway.
AndrewatYachtClub.jpg

We enter, get dad a wheelchair and head to the right to the American Pavillion. Mom and I stop at Morocco to smoke and the boys move on ahead. We run into the ladies room and then meet the boys at the American CS place. Jim was in line ordering food and I went to help him (because Jimmy was helping too). We got the basic burgers and dogs, but it satisfied everyone’s empty bellies, except Andrew who wasn’t eating so he could have the kitchen sink:sick: .

After dinner, the boys headed over to Mexico to ride It’s Not a Small World and mom and I ran back to Japan to pick up a Power Ranger that Jimmy wanted. We met the boys at Mexico and Denise called to say they were entering EPCOT (they had spent the day at AK). My mom and left the boys at Spaceship Earth to wait for us and went to the front to meet Denise and the kids so Denise could buy her 6 days park hoppers and my mom could get her the CM discount on them. After that was all settled we got Denise a double stroller for the kids (free for CM’s:thumbsup2 ) and we all rode Spaceship Earth together. The kids were excited because it was the first ride we all rode together.:goodvibes

When we came off SE it was raining…again. Out came the ponchos. Denise and the kids hadn’t had dinner yet so they headed to the Electric Umbrella. Jim and Andrew went to ride Mission Space. Jimmy and I went to ride Figment. We played in the Imagination pavilion for a little while and then Jim called to let us know they were done with MS. We went to get the strollers and yes it was raining, no it was pouring,
thPouringrainSmilie.gif
. The old man was snoring so much you’d have thought he had sleep apnea.

We made it as far as the cover by character connection and we were soaked. I called Jim and told him where to meet us and then Denise called and I walked her through how to get where we were. While we are waiting for everyone to regroup Jimmy turns to me and says “Mommy, I just want to go back to the room and take a bath”. This tells you how bad the rain was. Once everyone regroups Denise and I decide to take the kids back to POP and Jim is going to Andrew over to Beached & Cream for his kitchen sink.
Denise and I make it as far as the times information board before taking cover again because not only is it raining, the winds are really blowing. We finally make a break for it and make our way to the busses. I don’t know if it is always like this when it rains, or if it was because there was so much rain at one time the drainage system couldn’t handle it, but we walked through water up over my ankles, in sneakers…
rain.jpg

We make it to the POP bus stop, you know the one in Siberia, and there is a bus loading. We purposely waited for the next bus so we could have seats. We get back to Pop, make our meeting plans for the next day, and go back to our respective rooms. I bath Jimmy, let him play Power Rangers for a few minutes while I showered, put on Stacy and we are asleep in minutes.:cloud9:

++ Jim and Andrew’s tale++

After they split from us they walked back through the International Gateway to the BC to see about getting into Beaches and Cream. They too walked through water that Jim said was almost up to is knees. Andrew was so uncomfortable in his wet sneakers that Jim bought him a pair of Crocs, plus we knew the sneakers wouldn’t be dry for the next day. (He wore them for the rest of the trip). They get to B & C and there is a 15-20 minute wait. They go in and Jim orders a cup of coffee and a small caramel sundae. Andrew orders the Kitchen Sink. Apparently there is a whole production that occurs when it is delivered…it goes like this. The waiter/ess takes the completed kitchen sink into the middle of the room and yells lights please. The lights are dimmed and yellow siren type lights mounted to the ceiling start going off. The waiter/ess yells so everyone can hear “I have here in my hand the kitchen sink, it includes 8 scoops of ice cream, every topping in the house, and a whole can of whipped cream. This brave young man is going to attempt to eat it by himself.” They then deliver it. Jim said it was pretty funny, but he didn’t realize they did it so he got no video. Here are some pictures

Just as a note, no Andrew didn’t finish it and he got beat out by two 4 year olds who ate the whole thing.:rotfl2:

Next Up..EPCOT and Weinerfest.

Even though it was pouring in the morning and then again in the evening at least we had those fwe hours of sunshine in the afternoon. :goodvibes It was a nice break from the constant rain, rain, rain.

That's nice to you found a CM to show you the way to Beaches and Cream, too bad the wait was so long. I have heard crazy things about the dinner time waits there.

:lmao: Too funny that Andrew got beat out by two 4 year olds.

OMG, I can't believe you were out in that rain on Friday! It was freakin' pouring. :scared: Like a Tropical Storm or something. Heh heh heh.

I've seen pictures of the Kitchen Sink and there's no way I would even attempt to finish that thing! Kuddos to Andrew for even trying! :worship:

Dude, having a parent who is a CM rules! :thumbsup2 I think I'll send Waldo to Florida soon. :teeth:

Bring on the Wieners!!!
