What is the FIRST thing you do when you get to the parks? Whats the ride/attraction you practically run to? :rotfl: (in any of the parks.)

I always run right to PoTC. Its one of my favorites and the fact that there is hardly ever a long wait gives you an optomistic start to your vacation.

The first time entering each park on each trip we just take in the atmosphere. We are not in a big hurry to get to the rides or attractions. There have been days that we have not gone on any rides. On those days we take in the shows and enjoy being there. :jumping1:

I always do the Safari first at AK, but I tend to like to shake it up a bit at the other parks.

splash mountain at m.k.
soari at epcot
safari at a.k.
crush'n'gusher at t.l
only 8 more weeks!! :jumping1:

magic kingdom- fantasy land...its a small world and peter pan's flight
epcot- mission space ( ) and test track
animal kingdom- kali river rapids
mgm- tower of terror and rockin rollercoaster

I just love looking at the castle and the amazement on all the children's faces as they see it for the first time. Is there anything better than witnessing pure magic?

MK--Buzz Lightyear & Space Mountain

MGM--Rockin' Roller Coaster & ToT (I skip that one, but DH loves it)

AK--Safari! (My favorite thing about a WDW trip!)

Epcot--Test Track

Seeing everyone's lists makes me ready to go again! :earsgirl:

Well, it is Disney...So the first place is the same no matter what park we are at...the ATM. :rotfl2:

Seriously though...I don't think there is any one attraction that I would say is a must do first. It kind of depends on what time I get to the park. If I arrive at opening (which I do more often than not), I would hit the longest queue attractions first...eg-Space Mountain, Safari, Rock n Roller Coaster, Soarin

We always go to MGM first, but we don't go anywhere in particular.

Go to a prime viewing spot of the castle take in a DEEP breath and say "OMG, thank you, we're really here" :goodvibes

:sunny:

When we get to the Magic Kingdom, we get our Maps even though we don't really need them :wave2: Then we walk in and wait to hear that music on Main Street but once we hit the center right by the Emporium and see the Beautiful Castle then we know we are here!!!!! :cool1:

MK- Splash Mountain,BTMRR,POC, HM in that exact order
MGM-TOT,RNR,GMR
Epcot-Soarin'
AK-Safari
I ALWAYS go to MK on the first day ::MickeyMo Which makes it hard this trip. I am going for a quick weekend with a friend and her son who have not been in over 15 years and we will probably end up going to another park on the first day and may not make it to MK until the last day :faint: :crazy2:  :sad1:

For all the Magic Kingdom parks, after a casual walk up Main Street USA, the first stop is the Haunted Mansion/Phantom Manor. After that, anything goes.

We don't have any specific ride rituals at the other parks.

Since we always go in August, we like to go to the rides that are going to have long lines later. In Magic Kingdom it's Splash Mountain, although sometimes I like going to Pirates first, since I like starting in Adventureland and going around the park clockwise. In Epcot it's usually Test Track, although this year it's going to have to be Soarin! In MGM it's always Tower of Terror and RnRC. We get a fastpass for one and go on the other. And in Animal Kingdom it's the Safari, since the animals are usually out early in the morning.

AK - Tarzan Rocks
MK - MJ usually wants the Tree House
Epcot - SSE if we enter the front, JII if we enter at the IG
MGM - Nothing set in stone, but often, the GMR....

Typically when we get to Magic Kingdom my mom insists that we go to Fantasyland first, since it gets more crowded during the afternoon. After that we usually grab any fastpasses we want (Haunted Mansion, my fav! :teeth: ). I'm not really sure about EPCOT and MGM, they usually depend on how long the lines are.

The FIRST and LAST thing I do is Spaceship Earth.

That just sets the mood for me, for some reason.
