The financially irresponsible WDW trip! [June 25th: p.45, posts 668 & 669]

HOLY COW!

I am a late-comer to this here party. Normally, I'd apologize for that but I'm in a bit of a shock. Despite a 2-year age difference and the whole Deb-lives-in-Ireland-but-I-live-in-the-US thing, it appears I've found my twin!

First, the list thing! Hysterical. I page-out a magazine from home myself. Your list and love of layout had me rolling. Gutter-width, indeed!

Second, your description of how you over-react in hopes of engendering a response from the DH. That is EXACTLY how our home is, too.

So ... sorry I'm sooooo late and that I'm just commenting on your initial posts.

As my own TR wonders, Is Late Really Better Than Never?

I don't know if that is true for this post, but I am glad I found your report.

You rock! Layout & paginate away on those lists!

Wow!!

You have the exact same job as me???!!! :thumbsup2

Working from home *to deadlines* is hard isn't it? Do you find yourself sometimes working 'til your eyes are hanging out of your head and the birds are singing? :faint: Just wondering. lol!!

No problem!! Glad to have you here.

Yes it absolutely IS!!! And now I'm off to find your TR!!! :)

Unfortunately, the answer is a resounding YES! Although, honestly, I don't do it as much as a used to. Not sure if it's my age, the kids, or the fact I've been doing the job 12 years next week, but I am no longer able to work until 2, 3, 4, 5, sunrise several nights in a row like I used to.

Ok, I know I posted, but I can't find it! :confused3 It was sucked up in do cyber space, I guess!

I shall comment again, because well, because I must!!;)

Garth's photo is absolutely stunning, Deb. Matte and frame that one, fo sho! As always, I'm totally enchanted with your darling Miss Alice! princess:

OMG! I felt to bad for you when Mike handed over your bag-o-gifts! You handled it quite well, though. Honesty goes a long way! :thumbsup2

So... what's next????popcorn::

'K ... still not caught up... HOWEVER, I AM enjoying this TR immensely. I had to make a quick post to let you know WE went to Cocoa Beach, too, on our last trip.

Is that a twin thing?

A designer thing?

Well, maybe we aren't twins afterall. We all eat meat ... although some of my best friends are vegetarians.

Amy

Just seeing if you had somthing new yet, You're all over the trip reports....just not your own.
Deb! eyes on your own paper and get to work!!!!!

I'm the same way - can't handle those late nights anymore. When I *must* do it, it kills me and throws me into a cycle of insomnia. Grrrrr!!

:snooty:
The next chapter is written but is soooooo long-winded it needs to be cut by about two-thirds. :headache:

How did I miss this last installment?!? I love that picture of Alice hugging Aurora.

Thanks Kelli!! Glad you're still here. :)

General comment: It struck me after I posted the last chapter that I really hope I didn't come across as a total tightwad. :rotfl2: We're really not mean at all! But I can't even emphasise enough how little we knew Mike and K before we met them. It was such a quick and casual arrangement to meet. Otherwise, I'd definitely have brought some pressies. Just thought I'd clarify that. :cool2:

Deb,
I fully expect that when we get together for a 2009 grand gathering that you will have suitcases FULL of gifts for me, my boys, my DH, and a little more for me!

Honestly, you don't seem like a tightwad at all. Who would have thought gifts for a casual meeting of aquaintances???

And, ummmm, too long winded? Don't you know by now that we all love your story telling?

NO, NO, do not cut that chapter short. It's not considered long winded, it's detailed and full of pertinent (sp?) information. We want it all, right down to the color of socks you were wearing!!!!

Thank you so much for this wonderful story. I've been off the boards for a while. We had the trip from heck between crowds and family this past February and I am still recovering. Thoughts of trying other vacation destinations are starting to fade. But I am enjoying reading your story and please don't cut it short at this point!! Keep those details rolling.

You family is beautiful. It sounds like you all just enjoy being together and that really is the best way to be.

Come on Debs
we are waiting

:yay: Hi Deb....checkin in on ya....I am having trouble keeping up with all my trippie buddies! Glad to see you still here! ;) Carry on! :thumbsup2

Oh Deb, come out , come out, where ever you are:rolleyes1

Nuts ... am caught up. While I'm breathing a small sigh of relief, I'm also very sad. I hate waiting for more installments. Patient I am NOT!

GREAT TR, Deb. I've been sad that we are going on Oct. rather than waiting for early Dec. However, after reading about your MNSSHP adventures, I'm glad we chose that time. Even tho' we are keeping this trip a secret up until departure, both of our DDs have "heard" about the Halloween party at the MK and periodically ask if maybe in a year or two we can go then.

sshhhh .... don't tell!

TO MY FAVORITE IRISH MUM!!!!
Not sure your Mother's Day is the same as ours, but wanted to say it all the same.
I am almost caught up on your wonderful trippie finally & still loving every minute of it. Last night I kept interrupting my DH trying to practice his guitar to read him snippets of your report & show him pics of your adorable DD.
