Jss sided with defense and gave them so much leeway. The jurors even so much kind of gave JSS a threat of walking away. I am sorry what judge accepts that?
Judge Stevens was the worst. But they put a lot of time into deliberations and this is the third time that they came back and said they were hung, and it's been a week and nothing has changed. It was time for Judge Sherry to declare a mistrial.

And if they had come to a unanimous decision of death they may at some point have regretted that. Who knows. What do you mean…should it not be up to the jury to decide? Is there any place in the US where a judge decides? I have no idea. With the judge deciding that leaves it to one person to have the power over someone's life or death.
All JSS is going to decide is lwop or release with a certain time

There is going to be a press conference shortly for the jurors. 13 chairs are set up but Beth Karas isn't sure how many are coming.

One of my nurses just showed me a FB post that said "mistrial". My heart sunk. This is nuts. I am at least glad it is not a mistrial!

Yes, I understand that. ? I was referring to the previous question about jurors being equipped to choose life or death and and I was questioning the exact meaning of that PP's question. If none of this is presented to a jury to make a decision about life or death…if she were found guilty of first-degree murder as she was…did the question about jurors being equipped to decide life or death mean that they would walk away after the guilty verdict and it would be left up to the judge to decide life or death? That's what I'm asking.

Yes, it is a mistrial. The jury couldn't reach a unanimous decision.

11-1 split... A hispanic older woman with domestic violence in the past. Husband served prison time.

I was watching a bit of the live feed (missed the verdict which is a bit upsetting) and they said that Jodi has already been in contact with other female inmates from the max prison she will be going to, forging friendships and working her charm. How is that even possible that that's allowed? I wouldn't think inmates can contact other inmates. Then again, Jodi seems to get anything she wants

Sorry Mare, I was more or less responding to piglet

I finally figured out the word I was looking for.

It sounded like the juror or jurors were tying to intimidate the judge by walking out. How does she allow that?

I didn't realize that. I thought it was just a hung jury.

Here's hoping the judge does the right thing.

I am disgusted that one juror was a hold out what was their reasoning?

ONE JUROR! UGH!!!!!! And they said they feel like she didn't even participate in deliberations! So frustrating!!!
