Your so good at looking things up, I was wondering if you knew of a way to see if vandenbergs dad had ever been up on rape charges. Hate using that word but no other way to ask.In and out. What's up?
No problem! I'm out now (I was sitting in the car waiting for the rain to let up when I responded before) but I'll for sure look when I get home.Your so good at looking things up, I was wondering if you knew of a way to see if vandenbergs dad had ever been up on rape charges. Oh thank you! You are so sweet to do that! I appreciate it, and be careful driving. No problem! I'm out now (I was sitting in the car waiting for the rain to let up when I responded before) but I'll for sure look when I get home.

You're welcome! I searched and searched and searched last night but I forgot to post here. I couldn't find anything. I think the problem is when you search for things like criminal records or rape or arrest or assault you just come up with the son's information. Rhode Island has a defendant search which seems to give you any case for the last many many years but I have found with other states that it only includes incarcerated criminals. I don't know if there's also an option like Rhode Island has.He almost did get away with it. Sounds like he has learned a lot from home for sure. Maybe Mare can turn up something.
An article posted today in the Atlanta Journal–Constitution about the Justin Ross Harris trial...

His divorce is final and it looks like his ex-wife is going to be called by both the prosecution and the defense. According to the defense, she still doesn't believe he's guilty.
Here is one of the most damning pieces of evidence IMHO... After leaving the restaurant where they had breakfast it took less than two minutes to get to the intersection where he would have to turn to go to the day care or continue going straight to work. In less than two minutes he forgot Cooper was in the car? I understand about being preoccupied and forgetting things…I'm an old person…but I don't understand this kind of forgetting, not your child, not in two minutes, not on a hot day.
What do you mean by explosion? I read about today's testimony and I saw some of the testimony on YouTube but nothing mentioned or shown of any kind of explosion or outburst.I need to come back and read all this stuff. If you are interested today Batey had an explosion in court today. Would be a good watch.
It should be called
Holy Court Drama!!
He hollered that his attys bullied him into not testifying. He wanted the judge to give him more time to think about testifying. He complained how unfair it was that he was brought to trial very quickly. He had a 15 month old son. The judge told him he 10 minutes to say yes or no to testifying. Batey wanted the whole trial to stop. What do you mean by explosion? I read about today's testimony and I saw some of the testimony on YouTube but nothing mentioned or shown of any kind of explosion or outburst.
This is a case I definitely could not have followed. The testimony is too graphic and sickening.
I understand the concept of a change in plans occurring in some of these cases of children being left in cars. But in this case he completely forgot in less than two minutes, after sitting down to breakfast with him, that his child was in the backseat. He himself put his child in the car seat...he's the one, direct contact and interaction (I think it said that he gave him a kiss as he did)...and in less than two minutes completely forgot his son was there, so as to not take that turn, drive to work a short distance, get out of the car, walk away and never remember. I'm not buying that it's even possible in this case. Do I think it's enough to convict someone, in and of itself? Of course not. No one thing usually does, and people can always say it could happen that he honestly forgot. I'm just not buying it, even without the information about what a scumbag he is, and I believe it's a difficult fact for the defense to overcome.
