Is anybody else going to WDW before our cruise? If you are, how are you getting to Port Canaveral from WDW? I have a check in time at Port Canaveral of 11:00-11:30 & would like to get there as early as possible. I originally thought I would get a town car for our family but those services say that the earliest that they can pick us up from WDW is 10:00a so that puts us at Port Canaveral at about 11:15 & that's if the car service is on time to pick us up from WDW.

I know that I could rent a car, but I don't want to pay for a car rental for over 2 weeks.

So if anyone else is having this dilemma, how are you getting from WDW to Port Canaveral?

I thought about posting this on Facebook, but I don't want it to go out to my entire list of friends who have nothing to do with our cruise. maybe there is a setting on Facebook so that I could only share this question with our group? hey all you FB experts... let me know.

There maybe people on the thread who might be interested in sharing transportation from WDW to the port. It might be an economical way to get there.

We want a car for WDW so probably wouldn't be interested, but if anyone does we can put together a list and see how much it might cost.

I did find out that I could get transportation from WDW & then to the airport from HappyLimo.com fro $238. for the 4 of us before tip. I didn't think that was too bad & I can schedule them to pick us up at WDW at 9:30. I will keep looking into alternatives though. I always wast to save $$ & get the best deal.

Also, thanks for filling me on on the private FB thing. Sometimes I can be so clueless. I just don't want to announce my vacation to the world or seem like I am bragging & other people may get sick of hearing about our cruise plans.

I'm a little concerned about the FE status. Do you know if the list is up-to-date? I feel bad if group 2 is so small. I haven't seen KATZ on for awhile and hoping she is still there just not as chatty as the rest of us! LOL

I could have enough gifts if we wanted to combine groups one and two. Plus, when is the final date to add to the FE groups? I need to start bagging them together for distribution on the ship....

Right now we have 28 people signed up for FE that we know of. Katz may know of others that contacted her directly. I guess we could include all the people currently signed up in the one group and close it to new comers. Any new people can make their own second group.

How does everybody feel about that? I am good either way. I agree that we haven't heard from Katz in a while. I know she is doing the Eastern cruise before our cruise, so perhaps she is just busy.

I am using Disney transportation. Have you thought about renting a car just for the day, then you can drive to Port & drop off car.

We are using Disney Transportation as well. We are coming in on Friday 26 and will be at Food And Wine for a day. Staying at BWV.

Question our plane leaves at 11:30am for our return flight do you think Disney transportation will get us there in time?

You should be fine. The Disney Cruise Line page says 11:30 is the earliest you should schedule flights on debarkation day, and I've read other threads where they say they've easily made flights anywhere from 11 to 11:30.

We're taking Disney Transportation as well and scheduling an 11:30 flight.

I think that we should keep it as is!
But I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings!
But if we are going to add them, it would be nice to know now, so I could finish my personalized FE gifts!

I'm glad everyone seems to be in agreeance on leaving the first group as it is, but that doesn't mean members from the first group couldn't participate in both groups to bulk up the second one.
