The Fantasy's First MNSSH Cruise: Zombies of the Caribbean October 27, 2012

We are thinking of the Fury Catamaran tour in Cozumel. What time did you book yours? Maybe we can get on board with you guys. We are also toying with the idea of booking Nachi Cocom Beach Club separate from Disney Cruise Line. That beach club looks like fun. I emailed them yesterday & have not yet heard back from them.

We are booked in the only time they had 8:45. We are debating about switching to the Eco tour to punta sur it looked interesting and you see ruins and crocodiles. I also looked at Nachi Cocum it looks like a relaxing day. There are too many choices:rotfl:

But thank you so much for sending me that link & your quick response. I guess I should just sign up & join the FB group. That way I can stay in the know easier. You should be getting paid for all of your work on these boards.

You should join the facebook group it is more active than the thread.

Hi! I wish I had some suggestions...this is our 4th cruise and 2nd time to do the Western itinerary...The first time we went, it rained on the jeep excursion we had planned for Cozumel. My hubby just ended up going to have some margaritas and shopped while my two boys opted to stay on the ship. We also booked a beach excursion in Grand Cayman, but we were all getting sick and it was really hot so we didn't enjoy that.

This time, we decided to only book one excursion at Grand Cayman - Shipwreck Snuba. We thought we would just play it by ear for the other ports-of-call. We did book the snorkle, tubes and bikes at Castaway Cay since I don't feel like hauling snorkle gear for 4 people!

Surf through the excursions Disney has to offer, then post a new thread on the DIS boards for opinions.

We have a group on Facebook too. If you want to join, PM me (once you have 5 posts) and I can add you.

Welcome to the thread. If you would like to leave your information I will add you to the roll call.

All booked, 11:00 - 11:30 check in, Palo's brunch 12:30 (10/28) . We are doing our own shore trips, Grand Cayman - stingrays, snorkelling (Nativeway). Costa Maya - Maya Chan (all inclusive beach break). Cozumel - Chankanaab - Dolphins and Diving, then some shopping and drinking !!!!!. Will book a few tasting sessions as well, when we get on board, and hopefully they will offer lunch at Remys.

Cheers

Iain

You sound as excited as I did when I booked everything! :rotfl: Almost time!!!

Sharing some pics that you all might want to print out for your cabin door. I print mine, cut them out, laminate them, cut them to size then cut some magents to size and tape them to the back. Most of them I reuse. If you have a verandah, be careful if the balcony door is open and then you open your cabin door - they may blow off - thus the reason to tape the magnet on the back ;)

Is anybody else going to WDW before our cruise? If you are, how are you getting to Port Canaveral from WDW? I have a check in time at Port Canaveral of 11:00-11:30 & would like to get there as early as possible. I originally thought I would get a town car for our family but those services say that the earliest that they can pick us up from WDW is 10:00a so that puts us at Port Canaveral at about 11:15 & that's if the car service is on time to pick us up from WDW.

I know that I could rent a car, but I don't want to pay for a car rental for over 2 weeks.

So if anyone else is having this dilemma, how are you getting from WDW to Port Canaveral?

I thought about posting this on Facebook, but I don't want it to go out to my entire list of friends who have nothing to do with our cruise. maybe there is a setting on Facebook so that I could only share this question with our group? hey all you FB experts... let me know. :)

I am using Disney transportation. Have you thought about renting a car just for the day, then you can drive to Port & drop off car.

If you post on the group then your friends can't see your post, well mine can't.

We are renting a car and plan on just parking while we are away. The prices for the one way rentals are about the same as the 2 week rental. We are visiting WDW both before and after and we like to drive to the parks. Prices are high but I am hoping they will drop as we get closer.

I also am concerned about the hassle of drop off and pick up with all the others off the ship doing the same thing.

As far as Facebook I believe that since the group is private that only members of the group can see the postings.

Last time we went on a cruise, we went to WDW, we rented a car for the day of the cruise and dropped the car off at the budget nearby, an employee dropped us off at the port by minivan from the budget location about 5 minutes from the port. Free pick-up/drop off service. I haven't checked any of this yet, but my guess is they are still offering this service. Hope this helps!

We are renting a car for the week before, dropping it at port then picking it up and again to drive back to the airport via miami, just working out the cheapest way to do it so far. :)

And yes the facebook group is set to private for that reason, it makes sense to not clog up the rest of the worlds news feeds with our holiday! as much as i may like too!!

When you post on our FB group, it's private :).

We've used Omega Transportation two other times. Good rates and friendly prompt people! They transpired 9 of us and all our luggage in 2010. You can request a quote online too. Let me know if you can't find their info and I can post it for you in the FB group :)
