The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

I was so glad that my water broke because I was worried that I wouldn't realize that I was in labor and end up having the baby on the kitchen floor.

My mother had me exactly one half hour after arriving at the hospital.

She refused to be one of the women they sent home. :lmao:

With Chelsea, I dreamed I was making ice tea, but I was pouring it all down the sink -- when I woke up I discovered my water had broken. With Connor, I was sorting laundry -- so much for doing laundry that day.

That's too funny how your dream related! :lmao:

It is. It's really nice. I've missed it. See, we need you around Tink!

Hi, LL!

Must be all my pixie dust!

It must be, Tink! We have chatted more tonight than we have in a month!

That's too funny about your mom!

It was completely related -- and one that I will never forget.

YAY! A sister for Liam! What does he think about it?

He's too young to understand any of it.

They didn't put you on pitocin? Or did you not want it?

I got the cervix softener that evening, then by the next morning at 6am ish I got an eppie along with the pitocin. Without the pitocin I think I would have been in labor for a week.:lmao:
It ended up that I got to the hospital Wednesday morning (like 9am) and had Liam at 3:15pm on Thursday.

I'm having issues with high blood pressure right now so I think once something starts happening this time, they will move me along quicker. I so don't want a C-section thou. That's not going to work well with a 2 year old boy in the house.

Holy Long Labor!!! Yick!

I hope you don't have to have a C-section either! Is John taking some time off?

You know what, CP?

I thought of another comfort movie. I love Harry Potter. Especially 1-3. Before they get to scary you know? Some good family fun. :thumbsup2

Oh, those are good ones -- Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite book and film out of all of them. Those Dementers and Lupin were great additions!

My SIL had to have the cervix softener. I don't envy that route, it was very uncomfortable for her. I hope you have an easier time of it this time around, my dear.

I was actually put on bed rest for the last three months for high blood pressure, so I can understand where your doctors are coming from. Mine were of the opinion that if I didn't deliver by a certain date, they would induce me. Fortunately, DS decided his own time. And a week early, bless him.

Ladies, this is totally unrelated to the current convo, but as I know we're all big HP fans and since the BF and I just got back from Universal Orlando, I thought you'd appreciate the signs they've got up around the construction for the new HP area (which, by the by, is going to be HUGE!):

Yes. I love how it was filmed, too. I know some didn't like Cuaron as a director, but I loved what he did with the screen shots of the big clock.

Lately, I have been on a The Holiday kick. It's been my go to comfort movie. :goodvibes

Oh, Tink! This is awesome!!! We will be going to Universal as soon as the HP part opens -- Connor is super excited!

Me too!

Oh, that is so wonderful! I really can't wait to see how that all turns out. :wizard:

Well, I can tell you this...

The area they're developing cuts into both the Jurassic Park and The Lost Continent section of the park. I have a feeling the Dueling Dragons roller coaster is going to be rethemed at some point as it is smack dab in the middle of all of the construction. I'd wager they're going to have Diagon Alley and some part of Hogwarts (by the size of the building). I was surprised by how much they have up already but they do still have a lot to do.

On another note, one of the things that I noticed about the park was how tired it looked (especially in comparison to Disney). All of the rides and attractions were great but if it was outdoors it was in dire need of a paint job. Especially the Seuss area. It made me a little sad, really. Because despite the fact that I'm a Disney girl at heart, I really enjoy the other parks too.

Sea World was fantastic. We fed the dolphins and the sea lions and allowed Shamu to soak us with 50 degree salt water.

It was a great trip.

I know you're all pretty Disney-oriented, but everything is pretty fresh in my mind so if you do have any questions about the parks, where we stayed, the Int'l Drive area, etc. feel free to ask!

I love Sea World, I want to get over there soon.

I've heard that they were doing Hogsmeade Village, I'd love to see Diagon Alley too. That would be beyond amazing. :cloud9:

I'm also thrilled that they are making the last book into two movies, I really think that book deserves two. :thumbsup2

Well, well, well...hello ladies. ;)

Tink!!!!! So glad to see you back!

:rotfl:

Of course. My criteria for a comfort movie is the movie I find myself putting on when I am sad or sick, and I just want to lie on the couch wrapped in a blanket.

For me that would have to be Gidget. Just give me the beach and Moondoggie and I'm set for a night in front of the TV. :beach:I'm also a bit impartial to the Frankie and Annette films too.

Love the sign! I was really disappointed that it wasn't going to open at the end of the year when it was originally supposed to open. I was hoping to see it at the end of the year.

I'm so glad that you had a great vacation! I haven't been to US in ages. I'm dying to go on the Simpsons ride.

Heidi - I was asking my folks where my brother's new vacation place is in NH. They were pretty sure it was in North Conway, or thereabouts at any rate.

I agree. I'm so glad they're splitting it, it's just too much to fit into one film. Which makes me wonder exactly how they're going to divi it up.
