The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

Oh, they both look so adorable in their finery!

I remember having father/daughter dances when I was growing up too. They were a lot of fun and it was nice to have a special night with my Dad. Every year my cousin goes with her Dad too and I love getting a picture in the mail to see how she has grown every year. :goodvibes

As I was remembering, I also thought of that my girl scout troop would also have a mother/daughter tea once a year. That was fun too, I think we all wore crazy hats to it.

Tom and Megan looked sooo cute! Thanks for sharing the photos with us, Jen! Charles and Chelsea went to one last weekend and had a great time! Did you see the photos over on FB?

Jen, How sweet!

I wonder if these dances are a southern thing....this is the third one I have heard of this month south of the mason/dixison line!

I'm not sure if this is a southern thing or not. We are technically above that line near Cincy, so maybe the trend is heading North!!! :goodvibes They had a blast!

Thank you!!! She had a great time---they just got home a little while ago! I know it must be one of his favorite nights of the year! The PTO has talked about doing a Mother/daughter tea sometime too---I think that would be SO GREAT!!! I LOVE the hat idea!!!

Thank you!! I did see those great pics---they looked great, and I am sure Charles enjoyed his night just as much as Tom did!!!

Jen, what adorable photos! :goodvibes They must have had such a great time on their "date." Hand-holding, and everything! :goodvibes

Hey, guys, I thought I'd start giving you (slowly since I've done a lot) some of my favorite "successful" crock pot recipes from different places.

I loved this one, Crock Pot Butternut Squash Soup.

I have a really hard time with dairy, never used to, just sort of developed as I aged, but this soup had a nice rich consistency to it without the use of any dairy, and it was quite nice. I couldn't find fresh butternut squash at the time, so I just used frozen, and thawed it in the microwave beforehand. DH blended the batches for me in our blender, and voila, we had a lovely soup. It's more of an autumnal dish to me, but it was just great. :thumbsup2

Jen, the pics are too adorable! I'm so glad to hear that they had a good time. My nieces have their's in the fall. They adore getting dressed up and getting to spend the night with daddy. Such a great idea!

Hope everyone is weathering the storm today. I desparately want to go home, but I'm stuck here in NY. Trains were delayed about an hour or so this morning. Surely a sign I should have turned around and gone back to bed!

Me too! Hopefully she won't mess with my carefully laid ADR plans though. :lmao: Just reading her description of her choices at GFC had me wondering...:rolleyes1

We did GFC for lunch (pre-Liam)....it's a lovely restuarant and a great back-up because I don't think it's hard to get a dinner ADR and I doubt you need one for breakfast or lunch.

I am arming myself with back-up plans -- that is a definite possibility.

I love reading along with her TR!!!! BUT, I REALLY did enjoy our meal at GFC in June---so maybe it is just a matter of everyone's opinions. The Mahi mahi I had there was fantabulous!!!!

My sister ate there this fall and said her steak was the best she's ever had ANYWHERE! She was pretty ticked that we didn't go there on our trip...oh well, maybe next time.

Hi ladies, I have missed you all. My computer has been acting up lately and I can only get on sometimes so frustrating. I can usually get on facebook but not my email or the dis. :confused3 It is old though and we really need to up grade but I would rather go to Disney right now hen get a computer. My dear brother is giving me his laptop because he doesn't use it very much so if I can just hang in there until April I will be fine. Now I am off to catch up. Hope everyone is doing well.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi! Allergy season is hitting me a bit early this year, and I can't believe how drained I feel. Hope everyone is doing well!
