The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

How are you feeling, hon?

Pretty good. It's getting harder to move around for any length of time. I about died carrying Liam up a flight of stairs yesterday while he was sleeping.

Had a dr. appt. yesterday.....everything was good. Baby had a great heartbeat. 8 or so more weeks to go. Our downstairs bedroom is now done so in the next few weeks John and I will move down there so we can turn our current bedroom into Liam's. Complete with big boy bed (that I want to order this weekend)

And how are you???? I wish you were on Facebook!

Glad to hear you're doing well, even if a little tired. You're in that home stretch, which is so hard, but you're so close.

I had stopped working on my surprise for you, because we'd been so sick around here, I didn't want to touch it while we were seething with germs. Now that we're all well, I'm diving back in.

Congrats on getting the house in order! We're getting ready to move DS into a twin bed as well. My Nana has a spare that's barely been used with a decent mattress, so all I had to do was buy sheets. Very exciting. I'm hoping to get that done this weekend.

I had the darnest time finding good sheets for Liam that didn't break the bank. I finally found him t-shirt like material sheets from Target. Still need to get a bed rail for him at his age. Nap time should be fun once he's in the new bed and can easily get out :confused3

I found a great deal at Walmart. 200 thread count, a set of flat, fitted, and one pillowcase, $9.50. Nothing fancy, just solid colors, but I really wanted solid colors so we could easily match with comforters and blankets we already had. We went with a nice medium blue. Come to think of it, I should really pick up a second set. Do you remember how much your sheets were at Target? The tee like material sounds nice.

We were very fortunate in that DS was really good about napping in his toddler bed, which was very easy for him to crawl out of. That being said, in the past couple of weeks, he's given up nap time completely.

I was sad at first, but I am enjoying some of the freedom it gives us in the afternoons. We're able to do more play dates, and get errands done, and just have more time together. Plus, the earlier bed time is a bonus. But it hasn't been all peaches and cream, that's for sure. There's been some attitude adjustment as well, because he is still a bit tired at certain points, but just not enough to "force" him to take a nap anymore.

I'm still here too!

I've been busy trying to pack boxes. I'm ready for the move to be done and over with!

When do you move, hon?

April 3rd. We are just about at the point where we can't pack anymore until the actual week of the move. I just want it all done! Just trying to coordinate everything, the new utilities, the movers, getting a few things down from my parents house so we can have the movers lug them up the 3 flights of stairs. Ack. I'm so over it. BUT I will be closer to work, have a gym and a pool and a bigger place to live. I also figure by the time we get unpacked and settled it will be time for me to pack my suitcases for Disney! :woohoo:

In a nutshell?

Moving s-u-c-k-s. And yes, I have to spell it because I'm not allowed to say that word in front of DS. :lmao:

But seriously, I totally get where you're coming from. You're going to love this new place! Color me jealous that you have a pool! Is it in or outdoor? We have a gym, which I love, but a pool is such a nice, easy workout.

It's outdoor. It has a nice set up too. Nice patio area around it. Oh and they have a community garden! It's going to be really nice. I'm excited.

Ooo, a community garden! Can you grow vegetables?
Yep, I should have said it's a community vegetable garden. I am not 100% sure how it all works but they said we'd learn more once we moved in. I think it will be fun. Ooooh and we have a balcony! Not that I want to worry about the cats trying to jump for three floors up but it will be nice to have same chairs or some flowers out there. :thumbsup2

It sounds like a great place. Plus, closer to your work, which I know you're really looking forward to. :thumbsup2

Well, dear, I'm off to watch Reaper with my DH. Have a goodnight! :goodvibes

I'm here, too -- it's finals week and the end of the nine weeks, so I am crazy, as usual. ;)

Last night I was asleep before the kids.

Is that why the chatter has died down in here? Facebook???

Oh I don't think so ....but it is easier to have a quick chat on Facebook then here.....plus I like the quick status updates on FB.

TK- I think the sheets at Target were on sale for $15. Kohl's has Jumping Bean brand tee shirt sheets as well.

I'm here girlies.....March is LITERALLY MARCH MADNESS around our humble abode!!! We have MANY family birthdays---Tom's, his mom, his dad, my dad, my nephew, and our goddaughter---plus LOTS of sports related events that keeps Tom busy with his "boys"---the World Baseball Classic and the Basketball tournaments. I have been a party throwing, cake making fool lately---I have made a lot of food for the guys especially when they come over to watch all their sporting events, and this will go on until the end of the bball tournament in April.......yeah, I'm a good wife!!! ;o) There also has been much chaos at Tom's work lately---he has had to put in really long hours, and has recently discovered that one of his co-workers is moving to another country in two weeks.....this is going to drop a BOAT LOAD of extra work on his lap, so we have been trying to figure out what it all means for him and his schedule. I know I promised a start to a September PTR not too long ago, but nothing has been finalized yet, so I don't want to jinx myself. We have finalized booking our accomodations, because with this major change at his work, he is not sure how things will affect his vacation time, and because his coworker left, he actually has some other dates opening up for him. Sorry to make you all wait......I have been going NUTS trying to remain patient about booking, but you guys will be the first to know once all that is taken care of!!!!!

I was just thinking this morning that I am ready to see your dates and your PTR!! No worries though, I'm excited to see where and when you decide to book!

Hey everyone! So good to see everyone popping in! :)

I'm really annoyed with myself today. I set my alarm so I could get up and reserve my spot in a gym class tomarrow and overslept so of course the class was filled when I tried to get in. I love the Zumba classes that my gym offers, but trying to drag myself up to call the gym at 5 am is nuts. The classes are so popular that by 5:30-6am they are filled. Friday morning I have to try again to call in for the Saturday morning class. I wish I could make more of them, but the Thursday night and Saturday morning are the only classes that fit in my schedule. I guess I'll be going and walking on the treadmill tomorrow.

The new place sounds great. I love that they have a garden area. Very cool!
