The Fabby LapuLapuettes Part IV: My Pineapple Needs a Refill!

Right now....white and colbalt blue and maybe one othere accent color (something in the light blue family I think).

That sounds pretty. Have you also considered, not necessarily in the tile, but perhaps a lighter green accent in some of your towels or accesories? Very Mediterranean.

I have....I going for the spa feel. The problem that I'm having is that my kitchen is green, the dinning room is a dark green, the living room in brown with green and my front hall is green and white......all these rooms are open to each other.

I'm looking to do my master bath and room in blues. But my new office will be open to the bedroom so I'm worried about how to do that space.

I still don't think I'll do one. Maybe a dining report, but probably not. I've read too many not-very-interesting TRs and I don't want to put another one into the world! :rotfl2:
Oh balderdash. A TR from Trixie would be very entertaining and fun to read! If not a full blown TR, maybe you give us Lapuettes a mini TR, we want to hear all about it!!

I did work on my photo albums yesterday....doing something like Wings. I 've been working on it on and off for 1 1/2 years! Combining old albums into two new ones, in year order and getting rid of the crap pictures and doubles. I'm getting closer to being done. Then I can order prints of newer pictures.....I still don't have prints of Liam's first birthday back in May!

And I spent a lot of time yesterday trying to find pictures on the internet for tile ideas for my new master bathroom.
I envy you all who are organizing your pictures, scrapbooking them and whatnot. I am so not motivated to do anything like that. I still haven't done anything with our wedding photos. I think I am just going to make an online photo book. But I want to do it on iphoto I think and that will have to wait until I go to my mom's or I buy a Mac. :rotfl:

Ditto on what LL said. I think a trip report would be awesome! :goodvibes
See Trixie! Your adoring fans want to hear about your trip!! :goodvibes

So what you're telling me is there's a lot of green? ;)

That is tough, because you want to do something different, but have it all mesh.

Darn tootin'!

Heads Up for any MickeyNickie dinnng review fans.....she is starting a new LIVE report tomorrow (this is their trip with the 2 nieces)

Hey gang!!!!! I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend, and for those of you off due to the holiday, I hope you enjoy your additional day of rest!!!! We were busy AND SO COLD like everyone else this weekend---CRAZY COLD I TELL YOU!!!! On Friday morning when Tom walked from his parking garage to his office building in downtown Cincy, he had to endure a wind chill of -30 degrees!!!!!! Due to being right on the river and the setup of buildings downtown, it is usually pretty darn windy downtown and the cold only made things more miserable!!! I felt so bad for him!!!! I think it is a tad warmer out now, but not much!!!!

Trixie---I can't believe your trip is ALREADY HERE!!!!!! Feels just like yesterday that you were starting to plan for it! I just know you are going to have the GREATEST time!!! Tell Mickey I said "Hi!"

Heidi---sounds like Liam's speech evals are making progress--I hope for your sake that his at-home therapy starts soon!

We did have some interesting progress made in our plans for our next trip to WDW this weekend-------as you all know, Tom and I were both recipients of 40% off emails. This ONLY helped my cause of returning to the World in September, because OF COURSE you CAN'T POSSIBLY pass up a deal like that when you are married to an accountant!!!!! So once he found out that the deal would be cheaper than both renting points and Free Dining, the accountant started throwing WDW comments out more and more..........which made my ears perk up of course!!!!! Then something REALLY interesting happened----our best friends started talking about a trip to WDW that they were in the midst of planning for, and suddenly instead of just commenting about a possible trip, Tom started speaking in definite terms as in "WHEN we go in September......" and I was like.....:bitelip: :hyper: :faint: :upsidedow Yeah....happy doesn't even BEGIN to express it!!!!! Now, we don't have any dates yet, or else there would be a fierce new PTR already up and running, but I'm hoping to get him to narrow down some ideas of when this might actually happen as soon as I can!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does she already have a thread going?
Yes....look under the Dinning Reviews thread, and she has a link in her siggie.

Thanks Jen....both he and I are starting to get frustrated sometimes when we can't communicate. On Thursday they are having a meeting to detemine which two specialists will come out to the house for his new evaluation. And his therapist going forward would be one of those two people. The eval has to take place by mid Feb ( by state law) and we will know that day what his therapy schedule will be like. I'd really like to see some progress in his speech before the new baby comes.

I'm mega excited for you. Just one day!

Ditto on what LL said. I think a trip report would be awesome! :goodvibes

Here's hoping it's something that is easily cleared up, and that you'll be fine for your trip! :goodvibes

I'm off to the doctor in just a few, he'll probably just tell me to take some ibuprofen. I really should just save myself the co-pay and go take some ibuprofen! :rotfl2: It's the flying with icky ears that scares me.

I'll have to see about the TR...

I know! It seems like just yesterday that I was PMing you about points rental advice! I'll be sure to tell Mickey to prepare for your September arrival! :goodvibes

On a happy note, I had to stop at a convenience store to pick up something for my lunch and the cashier noticed my new haircut. I haven't been in that store for two months! I can't believe she noticed. It made me feel special.

Forgot to muli-quote this one last time.........have we seen the new haircut????? ARE WE GOING TO????? You know how we love pictures.....please?!?!?!?! :flower3:

I can only imagine how frustrated you both are!!!! It is hard because you know he knows what he wants to "say," he just hasn't been able to put all the pieces to the puzzle together yet in order to do so. Forgive me if we have already talked about this, have you tried using the Baby Sign Language with him? I knew nothing about this until Megan started through her evaluation phase at 12 months old, and since they weren't sure about her speech right away, they instructed me to start using it with her. IT WAS A LIFESAVER!!!! I don't know if it is the reason she hasn't needed any speech therapy at this point, but I know it had to help her out with her frustration and mine too! You can find numerous books at the library and info online about it---it is very easy to use and easy for him to pick up. It will give him a means to communicate with you until he figures out how to communicate verbally. They are just simple hand gestures that he can use to tell you what he needs/wants. I really would HIGHLY recommend using it with him---I even used it with my friend's daughter that I used to babysit. I started her when she was around 10 months old, and she picked it up in no time---you will start to see him repeat you (as long as you use it in repetition) within the first day. Teach him a few signs at a time, and then begin to use them whenever you speak to him. If you have any more questions, let me know!!

You poor thing!!! I hope your doctor can give you something today--a shot maybe--that will kick that out right away!!! I mean c'mon, you are going TO MICKEY'S HOUSE TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you sweetie!!! I think you should rethink the TR---I was hesitant before I wrote mine for last year's trip, but it is such a wonderful way to remember and document everything that happened prior to and during our wonderful trip. I don't know if it was enjoyable to anyone else but myself, but I am so glad that I did it for myself! Besides, you know all your Lapuette friends want to hear ALL ABOUT your first trip there sweetie!!!! HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!!! Just remember to also relax and enjoy everything while you are there too---savor even the quiet moments!!!

Jen-
As a matter of fact we have started with a few signs. And Liam is showing that he is catching on a bit with them. It's something that I hope to do more of with them....I'm waiting on some materials from the first speech therapist we saw. The one problem I'm all ready having with it is my husband will do the sign but he doesn't say the word to go with it. :confused3

My doctor was weird. :confused3 He didn't say I had an ear infection per se, but he said there was fluid there and wrote me a script for antibiotics. He ordered me to have ibuprofen with me on the plane and also to be chewing or eating something for most of the flight. That one I can handle! :lmao:

DH is packed. Totally done. :cheer2:

Girls' suitcases are done, except for a couple of shirts that are hanging to dry. :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm not even close yet.

But I guess by saying that DH and the girls are done, I'm really 3/4 done? Right??? ::yes::

We aren't leaving until about 6 tomorrow night, so I have most of the day to deal with everything else. Then we're on our way!

:cheer2: :cool1: Have a wonderful trip and to echo all the other girlies any form of TR would be much appreciated...I know I don't post a lot but I make up for that with a ton of lurking and would love you to tell us about your trip :flower3:

Good for you! I am so very, very excited.

Might I recommend the end of September, early October? It's a lovely time to go. ;)

Yes....look under the Dinning Reviews thread, and she has a link in her siggie.

Thanks. :goodvibes

I see you've been already, so I'm glad you got a resolution! It is important that you chew gum or snack so that the change in cabin pressure doesn't make your ears worse.

Trixie --- Yep, you are 3/4 done. :cheer2: I hope you have a fabulous trip! Enjoy every moment of it. :goodvibes

Trixie I am excited for you. Here is a little bit of pixiedust: to help you have wonderful trip!!!!!!!! Be sure to tell us all about it when you return. I understand how you feel about doing a trip report. I feel the same way about doing a report too.

Hi, Tink! We actually had a warm spell today -- it got all the way up to 39. After the past few days, I swear it almost felt like summer.

UGH. 39. Ick.
BF and I were talking about moving to Arizona this weekend. Then he began dwelling on all the things out there that could kill him (he's deathly allergic to bees and other things that sting/have venom). ::sigh:: Looks like I'm still see another winter here in the NE.

I still don't think I'll do one. Maybe a dining report, but probably not. I've read too many not-very-interesting TRs and I don't want to put another one into the world! :rotfl2:

If nothing else, we hope you'll share some of your pics with us, even if they have to go the "headless" way of TK's pics. Give us our Disney FIX, perhaps. LOL

That sounds pretty. Have you also considered, not necessarily in the tile, but perhaps a lighter green accent in some of your towels or accesories? Very Mediterranean.

The Tinkerbellarella bathroom is various shades of blues, teals and sage green. As little as it is, it is very soothing.

All of yours were/are so good, I seriously don't know if I could do one justice.

Pish posh! I'm sure yours would be superb.
Regardless...have a fantabulous trip!!!
