This is my first attempt at a pre trip report so please bear with me.
Cast
Me, Colin, 37 (38 on trip), 14th trip to Florida
DN, Callum, 11 (12 at time of trip), first Disney trip
So the plan is to take my nephew (11, will be 12 at time of trip) for this first trip to the USA and Disney. My DB and SIL also have a 3yo so dont want to do long haul just now and if I leave it much later then the teen too cool for Disney will have kicked in so I am spiriting my eldest nephew away on his own.
The plan is to go for two weeks in October 2011, planned dates are 7th Oct (leaving UK on 8th) and leaving the USA on 22nd staying at Disney AKL Jambo house. The second week is a school holiday and I am being a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad uncle and taking him out of school for the first week (dont worry, I will get to reusing old resort mugs and pool hopping later)
I have booked a savannah view studio room at AKV Jambo house for this trip using my DVC points. Personally I prefer Kidanih village but with a 12yo I suspect that it would be a bit too quiet.
Next step is to book the flights which I am hoping will be released tomorrow, hoping to fly Edinburgh to London on Fri 7th Oct and overnight at the airport to catch 1135 virgin flight to Orlando, I know I could get a flight on the Saturday morning but every time I use BA connecting flights they are delayed. Return will hopefully be VS back on Sat 22nd and a connection to Edinburgh arriving home on the 23rd.
Will update on the bookings and post some pics of us when I get a chance.
