Just wanted to give a quickly mid-trip update. I'm a size 30/32, 4x with most of my weight in my thighs, booty and lower stomach. I've been able to ride everything I've wanted so far and that has included:
Space Mountain
Buzz Lightyear
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Splash Mountain
Cinderella's Carousel (yes, I launched my big ole booty onto that poor horse)
Dumbo
Soarin'
Test Track
Mission: Space
There have been many other rides, but I've listed the ones I was worried about before arriving at WDW. We haven't made it to HS or AK, but I'll give another update when I can.
We are leaving for home tomorrow, and I thought I'd provide a final ride update. In addition to the rides listed above, I was able to enjoy the following:
Haunted Mansion (very tight turnstile)
Pirates of the Caribbean
Jungle Cruise
Peter Pan
Winnie the Pooh
Snow White's Scary Adventure
Tomorrowland Transit Authority
Tower of Terror
Rock n Rollercoaster
Toy Story Mania
Backlot Tour
Star Tours
Primeval Whirl
Expedition Everest
Kali River Rapids
Kilimanjaro Safaris
I've had an awesome time, and will definitely come back. The only downside was that my feet didn't want to keep up with what I wanted to do. Take care of your feet. I developed several bad blisters on day three, and the blister pain caused me to walk abnormally which aggravated a knee issue. The knee pain and swelling led to using an EVC for my last four days. I followed all the foot advice....moisture wicking socks, body glide, and Crocs, yet still had problems. I love my Crocs. I wear them almost everyday at home, but they weren't the right shoe for me for long distance walking. Use moleskin for known problem areas and hot spots that develop. Hope some of this helps others on their trips to WDW.
