The Everything Pooh Sized Thread

This may have been asked before but i am in search of a lightweight bag that can accomodate the kids essentials (ages 7,5,& 1 when we travel) & our must haves i.e. park tickets, etc. Also, did I mention that I am still a pooh sized gal but hoping to be less of one when we travel. ANy suggestions would be appreciated. TIA

Just wanted to give a quickly mid-trip update. I'm a size 30/32, 4x with most of my weight in my thighs, booty and lower stomach. I've been able to ride everything I've wanted so far and that has included:

Space Mountain
Buzz Lightyear
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Splash Mountain
Cinderella's Carousel (yes, I launched my big ole booty onto that poor horse)
Dumbo
Soarin'
Test Track
Mission: Space

There have been many other rides, but I've listed the ones I was worried about before arriving at WDW. We haven't made it to HS or AK, but I'll give another update when I can.

Thanks for the update! Did you ride Haunted Mansion? If so, did you use the turnstiles?

Enjoy the rest of your trip! :goodvibes

I just read through all 13 pages!!! I too am a VERY Pooh Sized gal and I am so thankful for the information. This is our first trip to WDW!!! I was actually in tears when DH suggested we go THIS YEAR. I had always thought our trip would be many, many years from now and I would have time to take the weight off (dreaming). I was so afraid that I wouldn't fit into any rides with my DD4 or DS3 and my heart was breaking. Thank you all for the information! You have all made me feel so much better!

Do not miss out on life because you are scared of not fitting or being embarrassed.
I will say it is a relief to know you will fit into things. I had this fear and was so relieved to know I could do anything I wanted (except ride Astro orbitor with DH. Alone I am fine)

Enjoy your trip and don't hesitate to "tackle" any ride...including Primevil Whirl. LOL

Hi Everyone!!

Anyone have any Disneyland or California Adventure info? I think we are going in Nov, and would like to know if there are any rides we cant go on????? Thanks!!

Hello! I am pooh sized and I have never been to WDW, but I have been to DL almost every year since I was born. I know that WDW is much bigger than DL and I am very worried about my feet aching. We will be going for 9 days, and I was wondering what suggestions any pooh size people have about shoes, and how to deal with aching feet?
As far as the rides go at DL, and CA, I have been able to fit on every ride with no problem. I am a size 22 and I carry most of my wait in my abdomen. The only ride that is very tight, and hard to get out of is Mullholands Madness in CA, because the seats are very small, and you sit deep in the seat. Also, Space Mountain is a little challenging to get out of the seat at the end of the ride, and the CM's ask you to go fast, but don't feel rushed, just take your time. I'm always worried about the seatbelts but I also just stretch the seatbelt as far as it will go before I even snap it in, and then I adjust it.
Thank you!:)

Thank you soo SOO much for this thread everyone, and not being embarrassed to talk about your weight! I haven't been this big in about 6 years, but so many events have happened to me over the last 10 months and I just gained and gained and gained and took it out on food.

As a result I am sooo nervous to fly, but reading this board has helped me out so much. I'm not as nervous about being able to fit in the rides or on the plane, and I seriously think this thread has helped saved my trip! LoL. Thank you so much everyone. Once again, I really appreciate it!! :-D

I used to buy cheap shoes from Payless, but I recently decided to just go for it and buy a decent pair of New Balance. I spend a good chunk of my day on my feet, and these shoes make my feet hurt so much less at the end of the day, even after a long day at a theme park. They're still tired, but they don't hurt as much as they did when I'd wear the cheaper Champion shoes from Payless. Those are good shoes, but not for the type of wear I put my shoes through.

Also, bring more than one pair of shoes. Not only will your feet be able to switch off and breathe (like if you bring one pair of gym shoes and one pair of comfy sandals), if you get caught in a sudden downpour, you'll have something to wear the next day and not have to deal with squishy shoes :flower3:

Hi everyone. Since I learned so much from this thread, I thought I would post something to help someone else. Lanacane is offering a free sample of their anti-chafing gel. I think that it may help some of us that have that problem.

I ordered one for myself, and maybe someone else will find this helpful.

I did ride Haunted Mansion, and now that you mention it, it was the only turnstile I had a real problem with. There was a gate next to the turnstile, and I went in that way....no problem. There were a few other turnstiles that were tight, but nothing I couldn't squeeze through. I decided before I left that I wasn't going to feel embarrassed...I don't know those people who happen to stare, and don't really care what they think.
