Hi Ev-No's! Sorry I haven't been keeping up too well. I went to the beach last week with my DGF for a few days. First time I've ever been to the beach in October, and it was wonderful! Weather in the 80's during the day, and I'm not even sure, but maybe 60's at night. Unfortunately, I woke up with a whopper of a headache on the first (and only) full day. I went back to bed, with no lights or sounds, until 1:00 p.m. Way to waste a good day! I can't believe it had been so long since I had been to Florida (beach). Pensacola Beach is less than 4 hours from my home - shame on me! If I could remember how, I would post a picture. Maybe by Wednesday I can relearn.

Dax, I am so sorry that you and your DH are still in search of answers to his health problems. If you could only get the definite diagnosis, that would be a huge step in the right direction! I will pray for some good results!

lara, your kids' costumes sound so cute! I miss the days of my kids dressing up for Haloween and trick-or-treating.

focus, I had to laugh at your True Confession! My DH is a very quiet sleeper, but my DBIL is a loud snorer! When we are at our camp together, I can hear him in the next room! I feel for my poor DSis.

Janet, did you go to the pumpkinfest? My DGF and I went to a pumpkin patch today to get some pumpkins, but it wasn't anything big. What is a pumpkinfest like?

We have had such a beautiful October so far! I absolutely love this weather!

Can't wait for tomorrow and DWTS! I agree that the Situation should have gone home last week, but I really hope it's Florence who is next. I keep waiting for Bristol to improve; she will be next if she keeps on the way she is.

Actually we knew his liver was an issue...his liver counts actually come and go. Liver issues are hereditary, and he has presented with it before. This was the first time though with this doctor..

Well I scheduled his neuro...have to wait till Nov 4! Seriously that is a long wait..and he is going to have to go back to work without solving this issue. Not sure how we gonna handle that one.

Otherwise, I am ok...taking Dexter the kitten in on Thursday to have his "giant boys" as my DH puts it removed..LOL. He is at that odd teenager stage, and I think he may be starting to discover spraying..He is getting isolated until then..poor booger.

Morning Dax! Good luck with the MRI. How long after the MRI is the neuro appointment? I can't imagine headaches lasting this long. What does he do at work? Just the thought of working with a migraine makes me scared.

and by the way, do you ever get 2 days of in a week? I don't know how you're holding up so well. Good luck with the kitten. At least that will keep you occupied for a few days this week!

Meh, I posted it wrong..he had the MRI last week...we have the neuro appoint on the 4th!!

As for 2 days off..I do..but lately my schedule is all flipped around as I am taking extra days off to take DH to dr. and we also have had other things planned, so I take 2 weekdays off, and work 2 weekend days to compensate..I dont have access to my vacation time to use it on the fly..

As for DH and work..he is actually out of work right now..on sick leave till 10/30...he has been out all month so far.

Welcome back Faith and hello to everyone else!

I'm just back from a walk and it's gorgeous here. The color is just starting to ramp up. Yesterday I finally framed a halloween cross stitch that I'd finished years ago. Don't want to rush into these things!

I'm loving having my daughter back home. She has her own apartment in our daylight basement, which is a very good thing. Let's just say she has a lot of "stuff".

Next up - knitting Christmas stockings for my niece, a great nephew and my daughter's boyfriend. They're my favorite things to knit.

It's a good year to be a U of Oregon fan. Go Ducks!

Morning Ev-No's...

I hope those that are getting back from vacations arent suffering from to much withdrawl..I am jealous of those who are getting the fall leave changes too! Sometimes being in FL is not all that great..Its mid-Oct, and my AC is back on and running..

Well I thought I was doing good, until I woke up yesterday with a wicked sore throat. I felt crappy yesterday, and ended up taking an hour nap when I got home. I took some Tylenol, and felt at least a bit better..but still feeling it today..I find it amusing, I got a flu shot this year, and I also have been diligent to take all my vitamins..now I am getting sick..being in an International airport 5 days a week, no wonder I am sick..

Hugs to everyone not feeling well right now and special hugs to those going thru so much in their lives right now.

It's a lovely fall morning here in north FL. We have no color and we are as dry as the desert, but I am positive today! My leave for the week of THanksgiving was approved, so I can get my painting done and some packing and get the house up for sale. I am looking forward to the week off and really need some down time. The kids have school Mon and Tues that week so I will have 2 whole days to myself! Woohoo. I will probably get my Christmas tree put up that week and suprise the kids. Not to mention the good food.

Why do they make getting married so dang easy but getting divorced, well that's a whole nother ball of wax! I am so ready to just be done and STBXH just keeps making things more difficult. Thank God I am a Christian and can get the strength I need from my wonderful parents and Him.

True Confession: It usually takes me years to finish a craft project. I sometimes have 5 or 6 projects going at a time. This never stops me from buying supplies for a new project.

True Confession: I came home from this girlfriends Disney trip and told my husband that I had an "okay" time but it wasn't the same without him. I kind of lied. It's true, it wasn't the same without him because I had the best time. I was able to lay at the pool for as long as I wanted. Nobody was pacing to leave the perfume store in France. I didn't have to ride that stupid spinning ride in Dinoland at AK...

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got a Halloween Party tomorrow night! IT's a family friendly one, lots of grat food and games and we are all dressing up! I am wearing a poodle skirt and my BFF is going with me and the kids and dressing as someone from True Blood. Hard to believe that it's almost November! WOW!

I had a cleaning spirt before work this morning. I was so glad, here lately I just can't find my mojo.
