The Everything and Nothing Thread

This one, which I'd never seen before. I was in the 6th grade when it came out, and I remember what a HUGE deal it was. I enjoyed it, but wish I'd seen it when I was younger 'cause I know I would've been deeper into the emotion of it. I kept thinking how Zac Efron looks like Len Whiting!

Oh, and I wore purple mascara for awhile.

Hi Dizno! Don't feel alone. I like lobster, too, and I've never seen Jersey Shore. Or Romeo & Juliet for that matter.

And the purple is for you. ;)

You girls are crazy.:lmao:

Jane, er, I mean Teri....... I swear I will never remember to call you that. Shelly has referred to you before as 'Not really Jane in Pa But Teri in LA' . :lmao: And now I have to remember TBird.:headache:

So I went to Sam's today. ANd let me just say that I officially hate it when they are giving out samples. Little old Blue haired ladies leave their carts in the middle of the aisle to take a taste of things like... water. Seriously??? Who demos water?????????????
ANd then you have the finger lickers and the smackers and the people who think "Demo" means lunch time and time to graze.

It's very very bad and I am traumatized, seeing as I am a germaphobe.

I went around all thru my shopping experience with my youngest saying "Don't touch that." :rotfl2:

Anywho.....
I love lobsters. I do. But I had a bad experience with a rotten one in Cabo San Lucas once that almost drove me to not eating them anymore. I don't know if he was old or I had been in the sun too long but ... me and Lobster Louie parted ways quickly.:lmao:

Jane forgot to tell you-------- Marvin and Mervin the Evil twins must be stopped!!!!! ANd-- I loved your pic of Branson. SOmehow it looked a lot more cultured than a lot of my pictures.:laughing:
Let me just say that the weekend I was there- if you had teeth, you were in the minority.

And that's that.

DH is flying in from Asheville and we are going out for our Friday night date night.

See ya'll tomorrow.

Everyone- TRY to behave.:rotfl2: I know it isn't possible but I can ask.:rolleyes1

I'll answer to Teri, TBird, Jane, anything you feel like calling me!

I'll never forgive myself for sampling a Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Peanut granola bar at Sam's one day. It was the beginning of an addiction I just can't fight. :sad2:

As for the water demos, "If you give it away for free, they will come!"

And if you had under 4 tattoos, you were in the minority. That was for women. (For men, it was 8)

Perhaps you ran into these guys:

Hey, I posted a picture! :woohoo: I'm gooood. :smokin:

So not only does Teri change her identity, but we find out that she has been tech-savvy all along. Hmmmm, wonder what else we are going to find out.

My BFF (since we were born) and I were just discussing that Romeo and Juliet poster the other day. Weird how things come full circle. And for those of us who were in love with Len Whiting, do a google search and see what he looks like today. It's enough to make you cry in your corn flakes.

The dark chocolate m&m's are definitely worth licking off the floor. I have a large flower vase full of them on my desk. Not a candy dish, nooooo, not big enough. A flower vase. Hmmm, maybe I should have saved that morsel of information for True Confession Thursday.

Lobsters are a real deal breaker for me. I've learned how to say lobster in every language necessary when visiting foreign countries because this girl is not sharing air space with one. My 2 years of living on Cape Cod were a living hell; I came to love my home a great deal because I could not leave it.
Those lobsters were everywhere; crap, I think one of them was the Mayor.

No plans for my weekend. I'm either working or sleeping. No decision has been made yet. I do have about 800 episodes of Judge Judy on my DVR I could watch. I bet y'all wish you had my glamorous life.

Have Rolos, will travel! See you here next week - have fun!

Joan

Hmmmm where do I start...

I really have no bombshells, I really do luv2sew and well since Jane is not from PA I can take her place in representing that state cause I am...in fact I am from the Lehigh Valley, PA so a few of you are just about neighbors of mine. I on the other hand have never been anywhere that I've had to change my watch to tell time....depressing that is cause that means I have only ever traveled up and down the east coast and as far west as Ohio and at 50 something you'd think I would at least have gone a little farther than that.

So T'bird....I am a bird lover so your new identity is very sweet. Jane from PA was nice too but then it became Jane from PA that is really not from PA and then it got a bit much..lol

Pakey I do have plans for the weekend and it involves sewing...for once I am going to do some sewing...it's been awhile. Oh and that Romeo and Juliet thing...I always like the "Tibolt" in that movie...I don't know why but I cried like a baby when he died. Couldn't for the life of me tell you the real name of him.

I do not like lobster, but crabs...now they are yummy and since it takes so long to eat one out of the shell it is the perfect diet food... you just get tired of working for your food. But you do have to skip on the butter if your dieting...has anyone ever gone out to catch live crabs????? That is too
much fun....you put this hook like thing on a string and hook some chicken necks in it, then throw it all into the inlet of the ocean and wait till you feel a pull on your string..then you slowly pull them it and when you get close enough to you you pull up real fast to net them when they come out of the water. They have to be the length of a can (beer of course) to be "keepers" and they have to be the male .....they have the key on their bottom.

T'bird I am really sorry to hear about lobster Louie...it's just lousy to get sick on vacation.

Janet the boys in my family were just in Ocean City, MD last weekend crabbing and I just heard the story tonight that one of them jumped out of the pot as he was being cooked....they also said they "scream" during the cooking :scared1: I have never heard them do that and I never want to.

Well that is all for now....I'm sure I'll think of more later

Jo bird you cracked me up with the line about sampling water...your right of course:rotfl: Do you feel embarrassed when they are making something that you really want to sample (EAT) and you just don't want to show it by rushing up to the sample stand...only to find out that by the time you get there after leaving everyone and their brother in, the samples are all gone..

"where do I begin to tell the story"...now that definately brought back memories.

It occurred to me alot of you are from the west U.S. and therefore when you are reading this I am snoozing....so your reading my posts that answer your posts from thursday and I am a day behind......so you are now on Fridays posts and I have just got through confession Thursday..

So....Wednesday is Picture day
Thursday is confession day (can't imagine where that's going to go)

Friday is technically not really been decided on yet since your all probably just getting in from working all day and us on the east are ready for bed and with that said......

Good night all

And the confusion has begun...... :rotfl2: luv2sew, it was a different bird that got sick on a lousy lobster. That was Jobird, not me! ;) So to everyone, I apologize in advance for any other mix-ups I have caused, am causing, or will cause in the future!

I know what you mean about eating crabs. I love them, too, but they do require some effort to eat! I usually end up jabbing my hand somewhere with the tip of the claw..OUCH :headache: Years and years ago I did go crabbing with some friends in the Gulf. I remember those gross chicken parts. You know, I was wondering about the lobsters and whether they scream when being boiled. I had heard they do that and didn't know if that was true. So crabs do it, too? That's awful!

Sorry about that Jobird, Jbird, Tbird....whoever....Ok so I'm going to use a scorecard from now on.

And when you jab yourself while eating crabs..because it has all that "OLD BAY' on it it really stings...I don't know about eating crabs anymore though since the guys told me they scream when being cooked. I'll have to reassess that practice...but I did have a crab mac N cheese dish last night at a restaurant and it was marvelous.

So it's 7:30 am here, weather is beautiful, and I have already weeded my garden. Just hanging out here cause the rest of the people in the house are still sleeping and I can't make noise or I'll wake them up...would love to be cleaning something....seems I have tons of energy this morning.:laundy: So there I'm hanging out my laundry. lol.

Have a great day and weekend all.

I know, a scorecard would help me, too! I have a hard time remembering everyone's name and where they're from, and they didn't even change!

We don't have Old Bay here that I know of, but I assume it's like our Zatarain's Crab Boil, and yes it does sting when you have a cut. That's when I usually give up and quit eating. Crab mac and cheese sounds yummy! I've never seen it on a menu, but I would give it a try! Have you ever seen that fake crab meat? I don't know what they call it, but I can't stand it.

Hey, if you feel like cleaning something, come on over here! We're all awake and you can make all the noise you like! Well, I'm sure by now your house is up, too. ;) Have a great day! :goodvibes

Morning EVERYONE!!

I am feeling much better after having a few tough days..DH and I got some much needed alone time..LOL...and also ran some errands too. Tomorrow we are headed to the movies..He is making a nice sit down dinner on Mon...So all in all, a good time...

I am gonna go catch up now...Hope everyone is having a great Saturday!

Morning all. I see we are still talking about crustaceans; my favorite topic! My husband is playing in his Saturday golf league (he plays in a Tues and Wed league too) and I'm sitting here with my Nekkid dogs trying to make plans for the day.

Hi Pakey! Sorry about all the l _ _ _ _ _ _ r talk.:guilty: Maybe we should declare this thread a crust-free zone!

*yawn*
Am I the only Nothing awake? I was asleep, but now I'm up.
One of those nights.:sad2:

Had DH's boss over for supper- fun times.

I got new dishes out of the deal.:goodvibes

Hope all is well in Nothingland.

Pakey- did your dog ever get dressed????:lmao:

Hi Ev/Nos! DH & I were on a little weekend get away. Had a very nice time & a great dinner. ( Pakey: don't read!!) Had a delicious seafood bisque. ;) Unfortunatey, the hotel's pillows were too high & hard for me to sleep well. So now I'm tired & have a stiff neck. Just what you want after you go away to relax & recharge.

Glad I didn't miss too much around here. Hope you are all enjoying the weekend. :goodvibes

HI everyone!! Just wanted to say hi! I have some catching up to do! I helped my sister in law with a yard sale on Friday. Friday night my husband and I drove to AR to visit my family and go to my 10 year high school reunion. Had lots of fun catching up with friends from high school, but even better, I got to spend time with my absoutley ADORABLE niece and nephews! I only got a little bit of time with my niece and nephew, but got to spend lots of time with my newest nephew Dylan. He is 8 months and soooo cute! Giggles constantly. Very glad to be home though!

Hi Diva! You are good going to your reunion. I got an email about our 35th (:scared1:) reunion. Not going. It is in a bar on a Friday night. Cash bar & appetizers. :sad2: I went to one years ago. Didn't enjoy it. And I know I would not enjoy sitting in a bar with a bunch of strangers acting like they are still 18.

But 8 month old babies are adorable. So much fun, but you must be exhusted! I don't know how I'm going to cope with grandkids some day. When I am with my toddler nieces & nephews, I am shot after 20 mins. :rotfl:

I am exhausted!! Coffee is my best friend this morning!! Our reunion was a pool party during the day. That night a couple of groups went out. There was a handful of us that met up for a little while, then we went our seperate ways. I spent most of the time with my family. It was great. But yes...I am sooo tired!

WOW, I come back to being very confused. I have had 3 cups of coffee and I am still staring at the computer scratching my head. So Jane is now a bird, but really isn't Jane and Jo posted something about lobsters, but TBird likes lobster too? Holy cow, my brain can't even begin to get this right now. You ladies were busy.

I work a 4 day week but took Thursday off as well because I am mentally/physically exhausted. Just when you think you are coping with a devistating situation, another brick gets thown in the window. I really just want to curl up in a little ball and wish everything away. Oh to be little and mom and dad take care of all your problems. Sorry everyone just having a pooh pooh day.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. :surfweb:
