The Everything and Nothing Thread

Dizno, I was very hurt not to receive an invitation to Chelsea's wedding either. :sad1: But that's OK, I'll just keep that crock pot I had bought her for myself! Did you hear that the wedding cost $3 million? Even if you have that kind of money, it's absurd.

Where is everyone today? Probably out having fun........

At the wedding, of course.:lmao:

Hi all. I just got back from Chelsea's little soiree; sorry none of you could make it. It was sad to see how they tried to cut corners, trying to make that 3 million dollar wedding look like they spent 5 million. Oh well.

I actually just finished a 14 hour work day, day 2 of the big office move. I think I'm going to need stronger medication to finish it.

I'm off to soak my feet while reading a True Confessions magazine. I used to cut out the titles of the articles in there and stick them all over my bedroom door to freak out my mom. My favorite was:

Touch that Spot Mister and I Go Crazy

Ha! Pakey, I LOL on that one. Hope you didn't make Hil jealous by dancing with Bill!

Today I decided to tackle the kids rooms. After 13 bags of trash, 3 1/2 bags for Goodwill and 2 huge tubs of yard sale stuff, I finished. I got Chinese for dinner and have been enjoying the Pirates of the Carribean marathon on USA. They have had behind the scenes stuff with it. I am exhausted. How the heck do we accumulate so much trash! I am preparing to get the house ready for selling (divorce agreement) lucky me I get to do it all with no help from the STBX. After my closet next weekend, I have to start painting. Yippeee! Hope everyone is having a greta weeking! I miss my sweet nothings!

Oh my gosh, I just about spit cake batter all over my computer screen! :rotfl2:

You are entirely too funny!

There must be a full moon tonight. We are all a little loony!

lara, you must be tired from all that! But doesn't it feel great to get rid of junk? Even though you are going through a rough time, it will be good to start fresh in a new place and make it your own. I hope you have family and friends nearby to help you with it all.

Take care of yourself! :goodvibes

Hi Jane! Yes it does feel good but my garage is a wreck, yet another project to do. I can't believe it's already almost Sunday. The weekend goes by too fast! Hope you have a great Sunday.

Ooh, my garage is a wreck, too! I just can't tackle it in this heat, though. If we have a day where it only gets in the eighties, maybe. But that could be a couple of months away!

After church I think we are going to NOLA to bring my DD the headboard I bought her. That's about it, though. Don't work too hard tomorrow!

Hi Everythings!
I said I'd be working all weekend, but I was really with Pakey at the big wedding. Unfortunately, with all the confidentiality agreements, I can't give details. ;) (Don't I wish!)

Nice of you to keep it quiet here so I didn't have too much catching up to do. Cake batter just for eating raw, huh? Never thought of that. Wish I had tho. About a month ago, I mixed up a yellow cake. Went to bake it & the oven was ice cold. Totally dead. Didn't think to just eat the batter; threw it all away! :sad1:

Lara, wow, what a big task you are going thru. I feel overwhelmed just trying to clean basement shelves of things my kids left when they moved out. Can't imagine trying to clear out a house to sell it. Good luck. :goodvibes

Good morning everyone. I wish I was still in bed, but here I am at work. Today has to be good, today has to be good, do you think if I told myself this over and over it would be?

Thanks Focus, I am overwhelmed at having to do everything and somedays just want to throw in the towel and stay in bed and cry. But what will that do? Nada.

I don't know what I am gonna do about the garage. The temps are over 100 and heat indexes 115, I just can't do it. Calgon take me away.

Do on a more cheery note, ok well I got nothin, anybody got some cheer?

Good morning Sweet Nothings! :goodvibes

So glad to hear that you all had such a fabulous time at the big wedding this weekend. :lmao:

We partied on a much smaller scale here. The boys had about 10 friends over Friday night for a summer party! They all had such a fun time that they want to do it again at the end of summer! :faint: :rotfl:

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Our weather was great -- sunny and right around 80. That's more like it. Too bad the high temps and humidity are supposed to come back this week. :scared:

Good morning all. In between attending the big shindig (and doing hustle with Bill and Hillary), I worked 27 hours in 2 days at the office trying to get us all moved. I'm soo tired and the stress today, since nothing is working, is pretty high.

On top of that, I gained 3 pounds because of the donuts and taco bell that was consumed during this move.

Lara, stay strong.

Thanks Pakey:grouphug:

Maybe you are just bloated and the 3 lbs will go away. I always gain a few pounds a day or so before that time. (you know) stress does it too, so maybe since you are moved it will start getting better.

How long until Friday????:scared1:

Hi E&N friends:goodvibes

Today’s a good day!
Not a great weekend (headaches ….) but feeling good today and loving reading what’s been going on.

Pakey & Dizno – you sure had me laughing at your undies stories!

Jane: I too love cake batter - but my true confession is I make the batter (usually chocolate) with all the ingredients, eggs and all – and eat until I feel slightly sick, stick it in the frig and have it the next day ‘til it’s gone. Same for brownie batter, cookie dough, etc. This happens when I’m stressed (so, basically I can succumb to this obsession anytime).

Lara: Wow – great job on cleaning out – I too can’t believe I could accumulate so much “stuff” And it can’t be easy with all your going thru. There are better days to come, hang in there!:)

Superwoman - that's must be 3 lbs of muscle
For the stress I recommend some raw cake batter

So glad to hear I'm not the only one who makes cookie dough and eats it all without baking a single cookie. With me it's chocolate chip dough.

I hope all of you that were working or partying so hard this weekend get a chance to put your feet up or get into a bubble bath like Angelina was dreaming of.

I am so missing my daughters. We've just arranged to go visit Camryn up in the San Juans two weeks from now. A five hour car trip and then an hour ferry ride, but it'll be worth it. She's working on an organic vegetable farm and small dairy, just for the chance to get away for the summer. We visited her there a couple of summers ago when she doing marine biology research (her regular job) and it's just gorgeous up there.

I'm off to find some doughnuts and Taco Bell.

I just noticed you were in OR, man that's where I should live! Are you close to Forks? LOL
Glad you are getting to go see your daughter. At least you only have to wait a few weeks to see her.

ummmmmmmmmm donuts...........................

Okay, now your middle name is Homer! (Another Portland reference, as The Simpsons creator is from Portland, and a lot of the characters are named for well known streets here)

I'm not that near to Forks, but right now my daughter is!

Mmmm......chocolate chip cookie dough! Sounds good to me! I ate more of the cake mix last night, but then I threw what was left of the box in the trash. I was about to technically eat a whole cake by myself in a matter of a few days. :sad2: So this morning I worked out extra hard.

Dizno, I was assuming it was your son who was working on the farm. But you know what they say happens when you assume. ;) I looked up the San Juan islands on mapquest, you learn something new every day! Maybe one day I'll go on Who Wants to be a Millionaire and that will be the million dollar question, and I'll know it!! That sounds like such a neat summer job, but probably very hard work! And marine biology research....Wow, that's what I call a unique and interesting career! Your DD must be a very bright girl! Yay for getting to make the trip to see her. :yay:

Is there anything more glamorous than cleaning the roller on the vacuum cleaner?

I did see a box of cookie dough in the freezer here at work (they didn't unload the fridge when moving it). I think I'll go do some de-frostring.

Hi Jane! It was fun hearing about your sisters trip. I've never been to that area - it sounds like a great time! I have driven through Louisiana, though years ago, and loved seeing an area so different than my neck of the woods.

I'll be rooting for you on Who Wants to be a Millionaire!
