The Everything and Nothing Thread

I'm leaving for a friend's cottage for the long weekend so I've got to get my behind in gear and start packing!:woohoo: I am such an over packer and I have to make sure I don't show up for a 3 day trip with a giant suitcase.:rotfl2:

Autumn - this is so me! I overpack and somehow manage to still forget something LOL! have a grea weekage at your cottage!

Good afternoon all!

No big plans for us ... just hangin' around town. We might go see the Cats & Dogs movie or Despictable Me.

My sis and mother in law are visiting, so it usually involves, shoppping, eating, movies, the good things in life, right? We might ride out to the Phila outlets tomorrow.

I like to overpack, too. But I usually end up wearing almost everything. At least for a short time. Then I come with an over packed suitcase full of dirty laundry. :headache:

Have a great holiday, Autumn!

Good morning! :goodvibes

Jane - I hope everything ends up to be alright with your DS. That sure is scary.
Yes - I have heard of Lassie! One of the few things you say that I have heard of!!:lmao: J/K;)
6 hours in the chair at the beauty school!!! :scared1:

I really need to get my hair done. I am thinking of getting it all cut off again! I did it about 2 years ago and it is very long again and annoying me!

So what's everyone up to this weekend? popcorn::

Thanks, Shelly! I hope we get the test results today. Then I will be able to relax more. That next comment? I'm just going to pretend I didn't see it. :rotfl: Yes, my hair took 6 hours and I am not kidding in the least. :crazy2: I know that on the Dis people sometimes exaggerate (like we always had to wait hours for a bus, or we had to walk a mile to the pool ;)) but no stretching of the truth here! I kept expecting Ashton Kutcher to walk up to me and say "You've been punked!!" Boy, your hair must grow really quickly! Two years and it's already long again. That's fast!

It's Friday, girls! We made it!:cool1:

Jane: 6 hours??:scared1::scared1:

First I've got to go to the grocery store to pick up some food for the weekend. I emailed my friend whose cottage we are staying at asking him if there was anything in particular he needed me to bring and he replied "Sweet Chili Heat Doritos" and that was it. Men.:rotfl:

Yep, 6 hours. I always know going in that it's going to take a long time, but never that long. I felt sorry for the poor guy doing my hair, so I never let on how uncomfortable I was getting. It really was funny in a way. And like I said to Shelly, I thought maybe I was being punked!

Have fun at the cottage this weekend! How could you not have fun at a cottage? That word just sounds idyllic! :goodvibes I'm going to have to check out Sweet Chili Heat Doritos - I've never tried or even heard of those. What is the weather supposed to be like?

My DH just left to go to our camp. He asked his BIL to go with him, but I am staying put at home. It is supposed to be 98 deg. tomorrow, and that is just too darn hot for me to go. I saw in the paper this morning that it is forecast to be 110 in Little Rock, Ark. So I guess I shouldn't complain about 98. ;)

Hey, if Ashton Kutcher showed up at the end those 6 hours might have been worth it!!:rotfl:

The weather should be sunny and mid twenties... I don't know what that is in Farenheit? Maybe low 80s?

My P90X came in the mail today as well but I am NOT starting that until after my weekend of cottage fun.

Focus, I am the exact same. I have the remember the less I pack, the less laundry I have to do when I get home!

Good morning. We are packing up the offices today for the move this weekend. It's so stressful that I'm drinking a Starbucks mocha frap-a-something. I am not a coffee drinker but the dust is giving me such a headache that I thought throwing some caffiene in there would shake things up.

I'm the CFO but I think is stands for Couldn't Figure Out. I get stuck with the worst projects. So today I am the key master here and I'm going through thousands (and that's not an exaggeration) of keys.

I am not an overpacker. I did 2 weeks in China with carry-on only.

Pakey, I'm not surprised you have recovered so quickly from your surgery. With all that you handle, you must be Superwoman!

And you always make me laugh!

Well, apparently I'm only a little too old for him. ;) But I'd feel really bad about stealing Demi's husband.

I can only dream about temps in the mid 80's. :cloud9: We won't have that for probably 2 more months. :sad1:

I've heard about the P90X but I don't know a thing about it. Only that it's a killer but gets results!

Wow! Which means you're probably organized - I could take lessons from you!

I agree with Jane, you are Superwoman :goodvibes

I'm tough but I'm not very organized. Try buying women's underwear at WDW without a car. :rotfl: They sell all kinds of cute kids' ones but not so much for adults. All I gotta say is it's a good thing my husband and I wear the same size. (Now that's an unwanted image that will stay with you for awhile).

Like I said before, you always me laugh! :lmao: And I love to laugh! :)

 That reminds me of our Jan 2009 trip when I forgot to pack DH's underwear!!! :rotfl: You are right - lots of cute underwear for sale at Disney for kids, not so much for adults! :sad2:

:rotfl2: Better than an image of your DH in your underwear! ;) :rotfl:

Good luck with the move, Pakey.

I would totally do 6 hours of almost anything if Ashton was at the end! Or Tom Selleck. And my DH knows about my Tom Selleck fixation. So no guilt there.

Hola!
My two sisters and I just booked a cruise to the Mexican Riviera to celebrate the youngest's 50th b-day! We've celebrated each of our 50ths with a trip and had a blast! We sail out and back into Long Beach, so we're tacking a couple of days at Disneyland on at the end. We're going the week before Thanksgiving.

I've always felt like a real loner for not liking coffee, but I see I have compadres here. Wish I could think of something I like when everyone wants to stop for an iced mocha something.

Jane - I hope you hear soon what's up with your son.

So here is my Ashton Kutcher reference. I once told my then in their teens daughters that I had a boyfriend in high school that looked liked Ashton. He really did, and my sisters backed me up on this. So my oldest says "Mom, no way you could get someone who looks like Ashton Kutcher". Gee thanks, kid. I thank you and your father thanks you.

So Pakey is Superwoman and LA is Angelina. I'm liking this hot alter ego trend.

Pakey, love the underwear story. Mine is similar, but less flattering to me. One trip there my husband wore a pair of my underwear all day without knowing the difference. :scared1: What does this say about me and my obviously non-feminine panties. You probably looked pretty cute in tightie whities.

My younger daughter is taking friends to the beach this weekend, so we're staying put. Hope everyone has a fun weekend!

Joan

eta: Oh my gosh, I posted this before I saw some of your replies to Pakey!

Diznotyzed: congrats on the trip. We went to WDW for DH's 50th, then 9 months later to Disneyland for it's 50th celebration, then 9 months later back to WDW for my 50th! I decided that since Disney likes to stretch their celebrations out, so should we. :cool1:

It's hysterical about your kids & the Ashton story!

So do we all need to come up with alter egos now? We used to love Remington Steele. Maybe I'll be Laura Holt. Remember her? The brains behind the hunk? Yep, I think that is me. My DH is a hunk (to me anyway!) and I'm usually the brains in all our advertures. ;)

edit: and again, I don't want to think about the DH in your underwear!!!! :rotfl2:

Nice choice - brains and beauty! I love that you mastermind your adventures!

Pakey: :rotfl2: at the underwear story. I like to sleep in men's boxers sometimes though, they are so comfy! I pick them up on sale and wear them with a tank top. And China with a carry on?:worship:

Joan: Now I :lmao: at your husband wearing your underwear.:rotfl: I can always count on this thread for a good giggle! And ooooh, that cruise sounds fantastic.:lovestruc

Focus: is it the moustache that does it for you?:rotfl:

Jane: I just finished my first workout and WHEW! Yep, it was intense. I felt like barfing after!

I'm continuing to pack... I'm in my thinning out phase where I am eliminating outfits I will probably never wear. I think half of my suitcase will be filled with books since I want to get a lot of reading done down by the docks. :goodvibes But I think maybe two different Bible translations might be overkill.:rolleyes1

Good luck with the packing, Autumn, and have a great time! How many bags of chips are you packing? ;)
