Autumn--- well how about this one- My youngest for some reason instead of calling my FIL Grampy like he wanted---( the same one who was dumpster diving for the retainer--) she called him Grumpy. yes, the name fit sometimes. Now we call him Grumpy Grampy.

Hi all!!!!!

well I guess I will start with introducing myself..... I am a Dis veteran.. have been many times starting since the 80's.... Once my DD was born in 05 i decided that I Had to take her there. Her first trip was in 07 we have been back every year since..... I actually just got back from a trip in June. I am currently back in school to become a registered nurse. i LOVE anything Disney. This trip we went on was just a mommy and daughter trip. A present from my DH.

I have know Jo and Momof2 for a couple of years now and they are 2 of the sweetest and most entertaining people I know..... I come along from the original MAYer thread.

Hope to be able to just jump in........

Jane: Losings posts -- been there, too! Frustrating!!! My solution? I type in word, and copy & paste (when I’m writing a lenghtly post) it’s a little more time consuming, but when I’m at work I have to jump back & forth a lot, so this way I never lose anything.

Jo: Should have got the wings at weggies – my DH had a salad (he’s on a diet), I had some Chinese and some chocolate for dessert!! Next time – the HOT wings!!

Kymmy: School starts in 2 weeks??? Wow, our school year was TOO long (strike) – our kids got out on June 29Tth !!! We always start the Tues after Labor Day. And … a kindergartener? I long for those days!!

Autumn: Umm … I could be your Mom ….. But NOT quite 52 yet. Happy B-day to your Mom! Re the baby thing, you got time – enjoy!

Mari & Bama – Welcome! I’m sort of a newbie too …

Lala: Great for you – Disney in January; Europe in the Summer. The best of both worlds!

Focus: I don’t get a chance to go to Wegmans much, just not that convenient. I love the fact I can buy Zweigles – I love these dogs!!

Dax: sorry about your migraines and that sucks no medical benefits. Execedrin works well for me – I also take a hot shower and lay down in bed with a cold pack over my eyes.

Baby talk? I used to think I wanted a third, wished for it at times, then then the real teenager years set in, and boy that is good birth control LOL!!

Jo: I love the name Wags!! That’s too funny!! Actually, I’m kind of looking forward to be a grammy - Just not now! My oldest is turning 19 tomorrow.

Just another day at work ... sigh ... sometimes I just think about leaving, trying to find another job where I can have the summers off

Mari, ohhh I'm interested in nursing school! I'm currently getting my BSc. in Psych but I'm looking at a school that has a program where anyone with a BSc. can get their RN in two years. I'm thinking of doing it once I'm done with this degree. How are you liking it?

Autumn - I actually LOVE it... but i have about 1 1/2 yrs left. 5 semesters left and im DONE..... can't wait... my present from DH at that time will be a Disney Cruise.... can't wait..... i'm actually minoring in psych..... good luck on whatever you choose....

Good luck Mari, it's always my problem with when I'm not on for a day or two.

BTW, I'm Janet (now THAT was hard to figure out wasn’t it?) I didn’t grow up with Disney, first time I went was in 2006 with my fam –since then, I’ve been hooked. Last Sept I did an “adults” only trip – it was so much fun, but I did miss my DD (she loves Disney like I do … the boys, not as much, but they do it for me).

I work in a Corporate Legal Dept as an admin. The people I work with are great, it’s just hard to be back to full-time (after working PT for years).

I’m not a DIS veteran (lurked for quite a while till I decided to get into posting – and that was ‘cause I got on a thread and ended up meeting some very nice people!!) I post mainly when I feel connected to a particular thread.

My baby just turned 12, and she moving up to middle school next year (7th Grade), my son graduated from HS and is going to a Community college.
I feel like my whole life is changing in so many ways, especially since I was so active in Samantha’s elementary school. BUT, change is good, right??? So I need to get something else to focus on - maybe planing more Disney trips

Mari- I have a few questions if you don't mind me asking! How long is your program? And are you doing classes part time or full time? The only thing that makes me nervous about the two year program is that it has to be two years of full time study and I would really prefer part time schooling.

Janet, change is good- but it is hard! I hope this is the beginning of an even better stage for you! How is your daughter coping with moving up to middle school?

Angie- how close to Disney are you? I would love to live in Florida. It's HOT here in Canada right now but I would love to live in the southern US someday. Green cards are pretty hard to get, though, so I might be stuck with endless winters and have to take lots of vacations to the sunnier parts of the world.

I've only had the time to post once on this thread so far! I guess since we are all doing formal intros I will do one too! Although some of you I've met form other threads. I feel like you all should all be seated in a circle around me while I stand up and do this. I'm Kim and I'm a Disney addict. I'm secretly planning our trip for next year- don't tell DH. I'm a former first grade teacher turned family childcare provider and sometimes my days don't allow me much time to DIS so forgive me if I have trouble keeping up at times. I live for naptime. It's just me and a cup of hot tea and my laptop.

Okay all of this baby talk makes me laugh.

JUST this morning DH and I were talking about if I happened to get pregnant again. (Most likely wouldn't happen- my tubes are tied). Autumn-- my uterus hurts just THINKING of it.

Dh said "All the formula and bottles and car seats and cribs---" I broke out into a cold sweat just thinking about it. When my oldest is 25--- I'll be 48. I sorta hope I'm not a Gma that young- but maybe by the time I'm 50 I'll be ready for her to have one.

Boy I've missed your wit Jo! This post cracked me up! Dh and I were just joking about this the other day. He had the big V last year so I hope we're safe- the thought of another baby gives me the heebie jeebies! I like being able to send them home by 5:30.

The big V---- my Dh said no way no how was he gonna have a dr anywhere near his nether regions and have them blow up to the size of watermelons while he holds ice on them all day in a lazy boy recliner.

So being the strong womanly type that I am, I birthed all three babies then went and had the surgery done much later b/c I am KNOWN for getting pregnant while he stands in another room. yeah it was all over after the red head showed her face to the world. No more babies for us!

I'm about 2 hrs away.... maybe a little over if traffic is bad. I'm in Jacksonville, FL.... North East FL about 4 mi from the beach Not a bad run!! lol

My Dad grew up in Buffalo, NY... I've heard about those winters ya'll have!... However, my boss went up to Canada for Vaca (Montreal I believe?) and couldn't STOP talking about how beautiful everything was... and how cool the city is set up... esp for winters... ahhh
