The Event

Are you guys talking about the names that appeared after each commerical when the show came back?

If so, those were the names of the main character that was being featured in that segment. They weren't 'credits' of people working on the show.

no, in the beginning of the show it seems like the credits took 20 minutes

I just watched it. I really liked it. I adore Jason Ritter so that was a plus:thumbsup2 I knew that girl he 'rescued' in the water was a bad guy. Looking forward to next week...have to try to get DH to watch. He's been lost without Lost;)

I've been lost without Lost also. I LOVE cerebral shows, those that make you THINK. This one certainly applies.
:thumbsup2

I watched it from the DVR yesterday. I enjoyed it. At least it wasn't completely confusing. I have some idea what is going on.
Two things. I hope they don't keep doing the jumping forward and backward in time, and I hope they explain some of the things that have already happened, instead of like Lost just keep adding new mysteries and really never explaining them. Now that Lost is over, I have concluded that the writers never really did know where they were heading.

Loved it! I agree that Sophia is an alien - they as much said so when someone called her "their leader." I bet the event is that aliens landed a long time ago and they are being held somewhere. The military dudes said they were being held because they wouldn't say why they are here. I felt so bad for Jason's character (can't remember his name) when he realized something was wrong on the cruise ship.

I also loved it.. read it got around 11 million viewers. Probably needs to stabilize at 7M or higher to be renewed. Let's hope.

FYI in case someone wants to see it but not online - USA Network showed the pilot episode last night. Don;t know if they will do that each week nor not. I hope so. I have a feeling this might be something I have to watch a couple of times to catch everything. Plus, if I start back to my Mon night Zumba class, I may not be able to catch it on Mon nights.

I just checked my channel directory and it is going to be on Oxygen, Syfy, Bravo, Sleuth, Chiller, Universal HD. Hmmm...think they want to make sure EVERYONE gets a chance to watch it?? :rotfl:

Last nights episode was good! I'm hooked and have to follow through now... I hope NBC does! LOL

Did anyone else watch?

I watched, but I'm done with it. I liked the premiere, but I lost interest last night.

But the writers of LOST had the finale written in the beginning of the series. They always knew where it was headed.

The Event has sucked us in!

Are the aliens good or bad? Thoughts? They said they don't want to harm us but we all know how that song goes.

So agent Lee is an alien? I was watching and then my dh called to say he was on his way home from work...I'm like gotta go, my show is on! I saw it said 10yrs earlier and it showed him getting blood drawn, then he was in a bathroom pulling something out of his arm....I really like this show, but I liked V last season too. It seems Agent Lee, if he's an alien, wasn't too happy about what happend with the airline passengers...maybe they are good?

I sort of watched while on the phone last night, and we all know you cannot "sort of" watch that show! I have to rewatch on the DVR tonight!

I don't know, I've got mixed feelings about the show. It's like a 24/Lost fusion. I liked both of those, though I stopped watching Lost after a while (I got way too confused). As long as they don't drag it out and never give us any answers, I'll keep watching. I really need a replacement for 24

I feel like it is a cross between lost, V, and flash forward. So far, I like it.

If it's anything like Lost, I do NOT want to watch it.

I think Lost was one of the greatest shows ever made, with one of the stupidest endings ever made. I feel like I invested years of my life in Lost, only to have it all feel like a waste of my time at the end.

I'm not interested in experiencing that again.

I think it was one of the greatest endings ever made. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Finally watched Monday's episode last night and still enjoyed it.....

It does seem to have a good bit of Lost / V in it (I never watched 24) which is good.

Hopefully it can last....although I do wonder how they'll go about extending it for more than a couple of seasons.

Is anyone, besides me, still watching??

Did the end of last nights episode freak you out!! :scared1:
