The End is... NOWHERE in sight! - Sept/Oct 2016 PTR *Update 9/14*

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh. <phew> Thank goodness.
No worries, I made it out un-scathed!

It took a looooong time before I realized what FEA stood for.
Just what the Dis needs, ANOTHER acronym!

And again... "Wait... that's four FPs! Have the rules changed? It's still three, right? Right?"
Don't we all wish! My DSiL and DMiL are NOT into ToT, so we figured that would be a good time for them to take my DNeph over to see Disney Jr... DIVIDE AND CONQUER!

Mmmmmmm...... Zeeeebbrrraaa dommmmeeesssss..... Yesssssssssssss.....

(And I can't believe that I won't have the time to have any, this trip.)
I may not even eat dinner... just get a whole plate of Zebra Domes...

I'd love to try this some day.

Some day.
STRAWBERRY SOUP! i love it :lovestruc Its also got a station for made to order omelets which are delicious as well!

Also on my to do list.
Not this time, though.
Its so much fun! Plus the fact that includes all the booze you can drink, its a win in my book! and I'm always down for some good southern cookin'!

Nice perk!
Ehh, it'll do. We were really looking forward to the special Halloween themed meal. I think its pretty crummy that Disney makes you plan this stuff so far in advance when they're not even sure of whats going on yet! ::cough:: Rivers of Light ::cough::

I doubt there will be much relaxing/pool time. Seriously, by the time the parade is over it will be maybe 3:15 if you watch from where it steps off. Then lets say 10 min walking to the bus stop, a generous 10 minute wait for the bus, 15 minute drive. Basically, you'll be closing in on 4 by the time you get back to POFQ. Either might not be worth taking a break or you might just want to plan to leave later and take a your time.
You are probably right. Luckily we're not bouncd to any reservations or time constraints this night, so if we want to spend a little more time back at the resort and head to Epcot a little later we certainly can ::yes::

Good. Because we wouldn't want you to com out of it scathed.

<sigh>...

Seems perfectly normal.

I'm always surprised to hear that the booze is included.
So much so that if/when I do go... I'll probably order a soft drink because I've forgotten.

I can see where you'd rather do the meal... but at least it wasn't a total loss, I guess.

ROL? Never heard of it. Must be a typo.

:rolleyes1

Oh, I dont have that problem. If there's booze I know about it!

I wish I never heard of it. At this rate it looks like we dont have any night time show in October :(

Hey everyone!!! :wave2:

There haven’t really been any new updates lately on the vacation front. I feel like after you make your fastpasses at the 60-day mark its just a waiting game until about a week before vacation starts..
In the mean time, this happened today!
[/URL]

I feel like all I can do is just check, and double check that all of our dining & FP reservations are in tact, make sure our DME reservation for the way home is set.. I’ve checked our Magic Bands about 12,492 times… I’ve made and modified our room requests a few dozen times… Can you tell I’m not good at this waiting game?! :hyper:

OH! I do have an update! Remember that 8:30pm reservation we had for Hoop Dee Doo Revue? Well, thanks to that lovely reservation finder tool on the Touring Plans website I was able to secure a 6:15pm reservation instead for the same night! We did have to upgrade from our Category 2 reservation to a Category 1, but it only ended up being about $40- $5pp more. SO now we don’t have to wait until past my bedtime to eat dinner!:dance3:

Speaking of restaurants- we’ve been trying to narrow down our choices for our 3 days at universal. AS you could see if my list of plans in the last update it will be a majority of quick service places for those three days, but we are planning a sit down meal on our very first night. I think we’ve made a decision to go to The Cowfish in City Walk! If you haven’t heard of this place go take a look at their menu- https://www.universalorlando.com/menus/citywalk/the-cowfish-dining-menu.pdfAside from my sister, none of us are big sushi people, but the burger menu looks AWESOME! We’re super excited to try this place out. The only downfall is they don’t take advanced reservations, so the day of we will have to walk up for dinner and hope the wait isn’t too long.

In other news, The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium also opened at Universal last week. This place looks absolutely unreal. Its like Willy Wonka meets steampunk as far as the theming goes. Universal doesn’t have an official menu listed, but I’ve caught glimpses on social media sites and I really need to try and fit this into our schedule somewhere for some dessert and drinks!

On a different topic, my Minnie ears came in the mail!

So now all I’m waiting for is my MNSSHP tank top which looks like this:

And then I should be all set with shopping and travel needs. Jeremy and I made a stop at Target last week and stocked up on travel size everything. Replenished on band aids, ibuprofen, NyQuil/DayQuil (it’s a tradition that one of us has some sort of cold/sinus issue when we get to Florida!), anti-bacterial wipes (I do a thorough sweep of the room when we get there because I’m a germaphobe!) etc… I pulled the luggage up from the basement to air it out and go through all the junk I’ve been throwing in there the last 2 years. Whenever I see something we may be able to use on our trip I buy it then just throw it in the luggage.. then I forget what I bought and buy another one. It’s a vicious cycle. :sad2:

We’re going to have to figure out how to distribute all of our things between our two suitcases and carry-ons so that they fall within the 50lb mark. I folded and packed all the clothes DH has set aside into his suitcase and JUST his clothes were at 50lbs. This may be more difficult that anticipated…

Thank you to whoever is still following along over here, I know updates have been sparse. I guess that’s the downfall of my type-A, need to get everything done WAAAAAYYYY ahead of time, personality lol ::yes::

Have a great week everyone!:woohoo:

Are we talking 2016? :sad2:

Pretty much. I keep feeling like I should be doing something.

How do you check your DME reservation? I looked on MDE and didn't see anything.

Nope. You're being too subtle.

And thanks to you for telling me about this! I had no idea there was such an animal. Thanks!

I did. At first I was "Not a bad sushi menu. But I prefer a good burger, thanks."

Then I scrolled down.

Yum!

::yes::

RIP Gene Wilder. :sad1:

Cute!
Ears are nice, too.

Uh, oh. I think you may have a problem.

Yes. The Jungle Book is set to end on Monday and there has been NOTHING as far as what is going to be replacing it. As far as we know ROL isn't ready to go yet :(

Pretty much. I keep feeling like I should be doing something.
I'm really awful at not doing anything.

You actually have to call Disney to check on that. Its dumb that thats pretty much the only ting you cant check on MDE.

And thanks to you for telling me about this! I had no idea there was such an animal. Thanks!
Yes! I just started using it and its worked twice so far for me! You put what restaurant you want in there with the date and time you want and they will shoot you an e-mail and text when something in that time frame opens up! And lucky for non-touring plan subscribers (unlike you and I :thumbsup2) its a completely free service their site offers.

I did. At first I was "Not a bad sushi menu. But I prefer a good burger, thanks."

Yum!
I love a good burger! I think I'm leaning towards the Shroomin' Swiss burger- YUM!

RIP Gene Wilder. :sad1:
This made me really sad as well :sad1: Even more so when I found out he had been suffering from Azheimers the last three years. I heard on the radio today that his diagnosis was kept a secret because he didnt want any children to be sad if they found out Mr. Willy Wonka was ill. He was an extraordinary man.

Awe, thanks!

Heeeyyyy everyone!!!

I have some great news!!!

This happened today...
D4218505-7715-4271-9712-E91B56A4130E_zps9xpdy0l5.png

And that's pretty much it... There's literally been nothing for me to do for his trip the last few weeks...

Aside from this...

:jumping1:

It took me like a hour to get them on (making sure to line up the little holes on the band with the decal!), then blow dry to ensure stickiness to the band and to get rid of any wrinkles or bubbles.

It was kind of a pain, but I'm really happy with how they all turned out!

I'm sorry for my lack of updating, but like I said up top, I don't have anything to update on lately :( :confused3

Holy crap! Good thing I popped by!
Only ONE MORE DAY!!!!!
Have a great trip!

And those MBs look great BTW!
Makes me wish we could get ours ahead of time so I could do that.

Then again... took an hour?
Well... maybe not.
(Maybe just mine. Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!)

And that's pretty much it... There's literally been nothing for me to do for his trip the last few weeks...

Aside from this...
Woohoo! That's a lot of frickin magic band modification!

And your countdown was at 14 days 15 days ago! I guess there's no point telling you to have fun, because you're there having fun now!

I hope you're having an awesome time on your trip!! I spent the last few days catching up from the beginning. To introduce myself (although I'm sure these answers will change after my trip next month):

Favorite Park: Epcot
Favorite Ride: Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (closed for refurb during our trip )
Favorite Disney Movie: Lion King. Or Toy Story.
Favorite Disney Character: I have thought about this more lately than I ever thought I would haha.. I think I've settled on Ariel for now.
Favorite Disney Restaurant: I don't trust my childhood opinions, and since then I've only been to DL and done one day at WDW. I'm looking forward to trying O'hana, hopefully Boma or Sanaa, and whichever sit down we choose in the world showcase.

I totally understand what you kept saying about having no planning to do except for checking and double checking everything. That's how I felt for months until I was offered a new job just before the 30 day mark, and we had to move the trip up by a few days. All my planning out the window, but I feel like I've mostly got things settled, and with just two of us it's easy to be flexible.

Anyways, your shopping/outfit/magicband updates gave me some inspiration for my trip! In our change we added a day, so thats another outfit I can buy :D.
