The Edison: CHECK YOUR BILL!

Are you serious? LOL! I did Google it and have seen nothing but "served with ice"

Just two examples of many when you Google "what does on the rocks mean for a drink". I can post a lot more if you need me to.

Could you post a link to any of your Google hits that says on the rocks means extra alcohol? Not saying I don't believe you, I just can't find it.
Try Google with "rocks pour charge" or "Vegas rocks charge".

The first hit on your first suggestion sums it up pretttty darn good:

Jiggers also negate the need for “rocks pour charge,” which is the most arbitrary and stupid upcharge ever created. Just pour the whiskey neat and serve rocks on the side and never overcharge the customer again.

Just what I was thinking - disgruntled employee or the competition spreading lies - either way, mission accomplished for them.
Anyway, we all got sucked into 6 pages of alcohol related debate, much more entertaining than the usual debates around here :jester:
That is the best part of these forums, having back and forth discussions. Does anyone actually believe everything they read? The back and forth is what I am here for, not to take dining advice from anyone.

I mean, this is obviously a troll thread anyway, like almost every single one started by a new user just to complain about something. Its clearly a smear job aimed at the Edison. 🤣
Hey- I appreciate the Troll! I learned something new today! Had no idea on the rocks could mean more a bigger pour- admittedly I only drink liquor mixed with other stuff so that's probably why this never crossed my radar.

SMDH. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
Hey I have zero issues contributing to this thread, troll or otherwise lol. But I'm not out talking down to people about their supposed lack of alcohol knowledge repeatedly whilst also talking about commenting on a potentially troll thread; obviously the conversation has been worthwhile enough for them to keep commenting 😁 and to keep shaking their own heads at people's apparent lack of "right" google searching. You do you boo!

Awe, thank you. I will and I do. Bless you:duck:

Are we taking that drink on the rocks?

Sorry, I had to do it.

I'll let myself out. 👋 🚪 🏃‍♂️
So, by "on the rocks," do you mean over ice, a specific type of glass, a specific type or shape of ice, or a larger quantity? :duck::scratchin

That will be a $12 upcharge! Enjoy you disappearing ears and watered down drink :rotfl:

Those ice spheres (and other shapes of large ice cubes) actually water your drink down less. They melt SUPER slowly.

We have an ice sphere maker and one that makes death star shaped spheres. When my husband uses them with whisky, almost the whole sphere is still left when he is done with his drink. We often just put it into a ziploc bag and stick it back in the freezer and use it a couple more times.
