The "Dumbo or Die" Pre Trip report.. updated 9/5

it is.. worst is we would be out the flight money..but such is life..

OMG, this is what would have or will happen with us too... but with us... since we have younger ds listed as a older ds's companion... he can't fly if older brother cant...so we would be out the two flights. I have learned a valuable lessen in that companion fare... NEVER list someone who may end up being a "maybe" as the first person. I had just assumed that the other could fly since technically we still bought the full price ticket...but no.

phew.. ok looks like it's all working out.. Noah should, unless something major happens, be with us on the trip! Thank GOD!

Ok so I
just realized than 3 months from right now I will be packing up to head home the next morning.whaaa

Dont you hate that realization? It is all great when you think 3 months from now I will be headed there... but when it is now 3 months till you are headed hom. That isn't so fun.

I can not believe how fast these last 3 months are going! I got some more pins for the kids and my disney box is growing!!

we made our final payment on the trip today.. a month ahead of schedule! We have 71 days untiil we leave, 73 until we are at the BW and 74 until our 10 night free dining package at POFQ begins! So very ready!!!

Now I think I need to start planning out our days... ahhh

Congrats on getting the trip paid off a month early! WOO HOO!!! I've had all of our days planned for months now only to be told last night that my parents are staying 1 less day than I thought. Whoops! But planning the days is one of my favorite parts! Its almost like being at Disney!

Started planning out where we will be each day.. mostly based on the meals I have planned..LOL

Ok made some dinning changes.. cancelled T-Rex on the 21st at 4 and have Capt Jacks at 6:15..better time! And then cancelled Chef Mickeys ( not my fave place) on our last day at 11 for Crystal Palace at 3:15 ( another better time).. now trying to decide if we want to change 2:30 Yak n Yeti for 11am Tusker house on one of our AK days...help!

So after all night and this morning rearranging, tweaking and stressing about dinning and what park what day I think I finally have it set!

Sept 14th/15th ~ Leave sometime between 10pm and 2 am

Sept 15th stay overnight south of FL border

Sept 16th..check in to BWI . Enjoy the pool and resort. Dinner at Kouzzina @ 6:45 pm.

Sept 17~ Noah and my mom fly at 6:30 and are due to arrive at MCO at 9:25. We will switch from BWI to POFQ and just hang around while we wait for them. Then once they are there and settled we will head off to MK. We have dinner at CRT @ 6:50pm

Sept 18th~ Hollywood Studios with lunch at 50's Prime Time @ 1:10pm

Sept 19th~ Epcot with Dinner at The Garden Grill @ 5:20pm

Sept 20th ~Animal Kingdom with dinner at Boma @ 6:15pm

Sept 21st~ breakfast at 1900 Park Fare @ 9:10am then whichever park we want

Sept 22nd ~ Epcot with lunch at Teppan Edo @ 1:00pm

Sept 23rd ~ Animal Kingdom with dinner at Cape May @ 5:00 pm

Sept 24th ~ Hollywood Studios no ADR's this day

Sept 25th ~ O'Hana Breakfast @ 7:30am then down time until MNSSHP at 4:00

Sept 26th ~ Magic Kingdom with a late lunch at The Crystal Palace @ 3:15pm then head back to POFQ to pack us up.

Sept 27th ~ Noah and My mom get picked up by Magical Express at 6:00am.. the rest of us will finish packing then head to one of the water parks for the day. After we are done we are driving 4.5 hours North to one of my best friends house.

Sept 28th and 29th hang in Georgia

Sept 30th ~ Take the 16 hour drive back home..

October 1st..unpack, recover and start planning the next trip. Hoping for a free dinning bounce back..LOL

Called Disney and there are no appointments for all 3 kids at a time or day that works for us at Harmony.. i could kick myself for letting to go so long until I tried..oh well.. they will survive right?

Wow, when you list out your days like that, it looks like a loooooong trip! I'm still waiting for the day I can take a 10 or 12 day trip.

I'm glad we're not doing any ADRs; I keep thinking it would be nice to do some sort of character breakfast, but I just can't commit! When I'm there, it's all about park time.

LOL..thanks..we actually just changed 2 things..added another day pre-park.. All Star Music for the 15th nd we cancelled Cat Cora's restaurant..

With a trip this long we will have more than enough park time. Last year we also had 10 park days and by day 8 we were like.. we've done this.seen this..more than once..LOL

Packed our first aid kit..pretty sure we can contract almost anything and have the meds to fight it..lol

Everything looks great! I like your comment about having seen and done everyhing by day 8. I'm hoping for this, too! We have 8 park days, 2 waterpark days, and1 day offsite. So I'm hoping we get to see everything at a relexed pace! I'm jealous of your ADR's. Eating in the park/ Disney restaurant didn't ft into our budget this time. But you look like you have some great meals on there. Too bad about Harmony. Maybe they'll have some cancellations and you'll be able to do walk ups while you're there.
