The Duggar Family is pregnant AGAIN!

If you google the Today show piece you can see the story from this morning. I also came across a contest to name the newest Dugger.

Also, about the older ones, as they marry. I believe I saw on a show, that they have enough land to build houses when that happens, and have their own little community. Probably will get them more tax breaks too

They do have a room in their house devoted to worship, and invite friends over to worship w/ them--that's how they are considered a non-profit church.


I have no problem w/ having the kids, if that is what you want, but the other crap, and parading the kids on TV to better the situation, is just wrong. Their house was completed, and furnished compliment of cable TV.

Mom Duggar doesn't do any of this the children do. Mom is a baby factory/milk producer.

As for the kids studying archeology or biology, ....do you remember if they home school because of their religou views? If they are like some home schoolers I know (and they seem to be) who do, they teach from a very different science book. The world is only 2000 years old, carbon dating is wrong, dinosaurs existed with man..... I can't imagine how the ones I know would make it in traditional college classes.

WHat's wrong with that? Those are the books I use to homeskool my kids.

Honestly, it's the way she treats the kids more than the number of them..I watched that show Kids by the Dozen and there were some great large families on their..My issues are not with large families.

In watching that show you can see there is a big differance in them and the Duggars.

Other than the one family who lived in PA who wanted to live like the Amish do. They were a little out there.

Good gravy, the pics of all of them playing violins and piano made me think of my in-laws.... You would think that we had the Orchestra in the living room.... What is really irritating is tahat most of my DH's sibling's are mega talented in art and music and so far all of their spouses are duds, artistically speaking, including me. We worry about it because it can't be healthy for those children to not have the individual attention they need.

You know I went to church with this crazy woman that said God said in the Bible that we shouldn't wear shoes, but for the life of me I can't find that scriptuer anywhere. Maybe the Duggars shouldn't take so "literally" what the Bible says, because much of it isn't meant to be taken "literally".

The bible also says Methuzila(sp?)lived to somthing like 900 years too! You know I think they are starting their own cult. How long before the Duggar compound is being investigated by the government? Fanatics of any type are always scary to me.

There was one very nice family with 12 kids who lived somewhere in MA. They were Catholic, I think. The children dressed normally, (girls actually wore pants and could decide if they wanted to have short hair. ),had friends, and they were getting ready for the father's 40th birthday. The parents were still the parents in that family. While the children did help, the parents were the one primarily responsible for the family. The mother cooked and took care of the little ones. They seemed like a nice, normal family, just a big one. They were a great example of a normal large family.

Haven't read all the threads yet so I am not sure if this was posted....but I saw part of the Traveling with 16 children show again last night when they stopped at Disneyland. I think the next time we go on The Jungle Cruise I am going to get the whole boat to repeat after me: Can everyone say Am-A-Zon?

I think there is nothing wrong with raising a large family, however, I feel this family is exploiting their children for the money. It seems like having another child "sells". It's like a game with Discovery Health, etc... awarding the prize. I don't like these people. I thought their eldest son looked horrified rather than shocked on the Today show.

Whatever, I wish the best for the children. I bet soon as they can start running, they will.

Wow this thread has turned ugly I for one don't care how many kids they have if the can afford them and aren't on goverement assistance more power to them

I have seen and read that many of the girls wanna go into nursing. The oldest boy I believe is in College he wants to work on movies in editing I believe I will have to check on that for sure

The Mennonites and Amish I think have just as many kids but I don't see anyone poking fun of there lifestyle or there choices

I think more than that were born in a hospital. I have seen several pictures of her over the years in a hospital bed. At this point I don't think they would really let her, sounds like she is really high risk.

Can you image if the mom did die in child birth, that would be really sad. The saddest part would be, the family wouldn't have any problem carrying on since the kids do most of the domestic chores and child rearing.

I agree with this. Just watched the show and the kids looked horrified. I wonder who gets a new buddy. I really feel for the kids. After a year they get a buddy. What teen wants to raise an infant/toddler that is not theirs? I would not be happy in that house. JMHO.
