Just thought that i would add the dreams granted to my DH and I along with our friends on our January trip to WDW (yeah, a little late... I know!)
One morning (1/26), while walking through MGM on our way to "Lights, Motors, Action!" a family stopped us and asked how many we had in our party. We replied "4" and they proceeded to give us their Dream Fastpasses! They said they didn't need them because they had a special-needs child, so they wanted to pass them along to a group that could use them. I was so absolutely touched by their kindness! So, even though it wasn't the official "Dream Team". They were our special dream team!
Then, on our LAST day (1/27), we were on the Haunted Mansion -- which kept stopping (even more so than usual) -- here, we came to find out why. As guests were exiting, they were handing out buttons and wristbands for an extra magic hour! Of course our official dream comes on our last day when we won't be able to stay and use it!
We were a little bummed, and we got pins, but didn't get the wristbands... so that hopefully 4 extra people would get to go who weren't us! That would've been such a neat time! I'm sad that we didn't get to experience it first hand!
But I think the YOAMD is such a great thing. It's so precious to see little kids (and adults) joyed by these little touches of kindness! Even the smallest things can make anothers' day so special! It makes even not winning dreams okay -- just to see the joy on others faces! Yay to Disney!
