Hi all.

Part 1 : The dream

We leave Montreal at 07:20 on march 1 it was -22c.

We arrived at 14:30 for the first time home at OKW. From gate to check-in, we heard a minimum of 5 "welcome home". The room (6224) was ready within 10 min, and was what we required. Entering the 1 bedroom, we was supprised because it was larger and more beautifull than we expected.

It is really a wonderfull place and all the CM were so gentle.

MIL was with us and the inflatable matress was ideal for DS, as GM slept on the "hide-a-bed".

The weather was very cold and windy for 90% of the trip, luckily, we had the parks. We have not used the pool for all the trip.

The parks was not very crowdy and no waiting for more than 20 min. Max waiting for busses 10-15 min.

We have gone to Typhoon Lagoon thursday with a temperature of around 70f and no sun for all trip except for friday, the day we left wich was 100f.

It was the first time we had a character breakfeast (Hollywood and vines in MGM) and it was very fun.

The World of Disney was magic, we seen all the parades, shows and special activities for the 100th.

We had a wonderfull trip and appreciated very much OKW.

Part 2 : The nightmare

Yesterday when we arrived home, it has fallen 1 foot of new snow. Even with my Grand Cherokee it was impossible to enter the parking (135 fts long by 35 fts large).

I had to use the "snowblower" (is it the right word?) for 1 hour before entering the Jeep for unloading the suitcases.

For PamOKW : Yes it is very romantic to go from cold to sun but the inverse is way less romantic.

To make a long story short, we had a wonderfull trip can't wait to next year

alexx (1 more hour of snowblower this morning to finnish the job)

hi: glad you made the most of your trip. it must have made it feel even colder to have to deal with all the new snow when you got back home.

I am so glad you had a great stay at OKW. My family loves it there as well. We own at BWV which will remain my first love, but we all love OKW so much that we use our points to stay there every other year!

Sorry to hear about all that snow on your return (snowblower is the right word by-the-way ;) !) At least, Spring is on its way!

Alexx-I was worried to read your story for fear something REALLY bad happened to you or your family or that your trip was ruined or less than magical. Glad that was NOT the case.

Don't feel too bad, we had 3 extra feet of snow waiting for us last year when we returned from our Feb. trip to WDW. Yuck! Who wants to come home from a warm and sunny place to that!

For PamOKW : Yes it is very romantic to go from cold to sun but the inverse is way less romantic.

LOL!!! Alexx -- I'm so sorry you returned to the snow. I agree, landing in a blizzard doesn't have quite the same feel.

I am glad to hear you really enjoyed OKW! Now, every time it snows you can figure out when your next trip "home" will be. :)

Glad you enjoyed OKW! We enjoyed our first stay there in October. It's a lovely laid-back resort.
I guess the one good thing about returning to the snow, we appreciate the warm Florida weather so much more than those who don't have to deal with the ice and cold. Indiana was fortunate this year. We had a very mild winter.
Anyway, it's fun planning for next year!!
