The dreaded crane

dis boards Facebook just posted the crane at the castle. We don't usually get it at the end of August. Anyone know how long it takes to get the lights up? We have 13 days till we go.

It's usually up for awhile. It's in most of my September pictures. At least the ones that I haven't edited it out

Noooooo!!! We have gone in February the past two times and that crane is ALWAYS there. We are going in September for the first time this year and we just were saying "at least that crane won't be in all our pictures!" Ugh

If the crane is there for the castle lights, then it usually takes about 2 weeks to put them up. They usually put them up in September, so maybe they're getting it out of the way early this year. Hopefully it is down in 3 weeks when we are there! We're always spoiled since it is almost never up in Nov when we usually go.

Why on God's green Earth are they decorating the castle in August for a December showing? It clearly doesn't take five months to prep. If it did, it would also take that long to remove so it would be wise to leave it up all year.

They didn't have the crane up last night, but if you went behind the castle, the walls that house it were up blocking the Tomorrowland path

I'm SO sorry! I'm pretty sure it's my fault. Every time I plan a trip there's a crane. I just booked our September trip in July, so of course as soon as word got out that I was going they had to bring out the crane.
